I did the tour to icacos island and palomino with the captain Jay, pablito and I forgot the tall guy name but three of them were great! We had a blast on our tour. Drinks were amazing. The spot chosen for snorkeling was just amazing. Flamenco beach is definitely a must. But what made a difference is the awesome Sail Getaways crew. All of them were super attentive and nice with us. They went above and beyond to ensure our trip was perfect. Not once I had to order for a refill of my drink. 11 out of 10, 100% recommended, I'll definitely repeat.

Was all of our first time and it was so beautiful and fun. We got to see a barracuda, big jellyfish and a bunch of other little fish. We enjoyed the guys explaining everything, Oscar was fun and kept us entertained since the music wasn't working haha. Loved that lunch and alcohol was included, was so worth the money!

My friend and I took the tour to Tamarindo and Flamenco beach and it was amazing. The weather was perfect which made the ride super smooth. We were a fortunate group to enjoy a beautiful day. It was our first time experience and we loved it. We are beginner swimmers (to say the least) and the gentlemen were kind enough to get in the water with us so we wouldn’t miss the opportunity. Great quick getaway for our group of 13. Quick boat ride to snorkel, excellent fish viewing and lunch. Then a quick boat ride to Flamenco Beach to wander around. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and patient.

We took the three-in-one catamaran getaway on New Year's Day with Omar and Arturo. Our group was 2 adults a 9 year old and a 5 year old. All of us had an amazing time. Omar and Arturo were awesome sailors/hosts/guides making sure they got us to Icacos safely for snorkeling, answered all our questions, taught us about Puerto Rico and even served us delicious drinks and snacks. SPREAD EAGLE II departs for a palm-fringed tropical island at 9 a.m. from ‘J’ Dock at Villa Marina in Fajardo, a 30-mile drive east from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Then, it’s about a one-hour catamaran sail to an offshore island and the reef.

There’s something for everyone on our day sail adventure. Kids from two months old to 90 years old have enjoyed the trip as much as we’ve enjoyed having them.

Once at the island, we lower a stairway into knee-deep water so you can get your gear to the beach safe and dry. Then you can swim, beach comb, splash in gin-clear water or stare back at the brilliantly colored tropical fish as you snorkel the reef, or just laze on the white sand beach or on board under the cockpit shade awning, the choice is yours.

The reefs are teeming with parrotfish, foureye butterflyfish, sergeant majors, and wrasse. The variety is too long to list, so you should just come to see them all for yourself.

Q: Can you bring a cooler and or additional food? A: Due to limited space, no additional coolers can be brought on board. You can bring your own snacks on your beach bag and Yeti-style cups with your favorite beverages. We do not allow any type of glass containers, including beer & hard liquor. If crew members identify such containers, they will be confiscated until the boat returns to dry land.

Q: Do I need to bring a towel? A: Towel service is not provided on board. Please bring your own towel.

Q: Is there music on board? A: Our crew likes to party! Please be certain that Top ’40s will be played while on board.

Q: What if I cannot swim? A: The waters at Icacos are shallow, and you will be able to walk to the shore, for reassurance we do provide floating belts for all who request them.

Q: What if I get dizzy on boats? A: We recommend you consult with your doctor for adequate medicine to reduce the motion sickness symptoms. If your symptoms are severe, maybe this tour is not for you.

The crew was amazing and took care of us. They were very attentive and they kept the drinks coming. The water conditions weren’t the best for snorkeling but they did their best to find us s spot. Accessing the beach required to swim from the boat. It wasn’t ideal but made it fun. I intend to book again on my next trip to PR. Next time it’ll be Culebra. Keep up the good work. I would love to hear more reguetón and more Latin music next time.

The captain and his crew were delightful

We went out to flamingo Island owned by Puerto Rico. It was absolutely beautiful. The captain And his crew were delightful. The lunch was delicious and they kept the drinks rolling in. The captain even had a specialty drink, called the Jellyfish. They made the experience fun and memorable. If you choose not to bring your own cup we will have reusable cups for sale for $2 each. This is also being done due to law 51 that prohibits the distribution of single use plastic here in Puerto Rico.

Transportation Available

Round trip transportation is $35 per person from most locations in Metro San Juan and hotels and guesthouses on Puerto Rico’s northeast coast (Rio Grande, Rio Mar, Luquillo, and Fajardo). To add the pick up service call us at least 48 in advance to make proper arrangements.

This tour is not suited for expecting mothers, children under the age of 4yrs, those prone to motion sickness, any past or existing back/neck injuries, recent surgeries or serious health concerns. Tobias boat tour could be quite bouncy, make sure you are physically and mentally prepared.
