I dealt with Joel of Ballast Point Yachts. I couldn't be more pleased. He's a down-to-earth guy that really knows boats, engines, and all things marine. He revealed the bad as well as the good, and he's not shy to tell you what you don't want to hear even though you know you should. It's hard to imagine an experience better than what I had.

Andy did a terrific job handling the sale of my boat. Because I live far away I was initially concerned with having to travel to take care of issues but there were none. He followed up on all items, was in constant contact both by phone and email, organized all pre-sale activities performed in San Diego and completed the sale as a professional. I would recommend Andy to anyone selling a boat.

jeez! could I go lower than 1? Horrible service, never call you back, and when they do, its to tell you They already sold the boat. Not to mention he even saw me selling my old boat, but still wouldn't call and tell me they had a deposit. The only way they will communicate is through email. And still they wont even say anything through that. The only thing they will say is that they can sell you something else for double the price. Total waste of time they are.

As a licensed and bonded yacht brokerage doing business in California, Ballast Point Yachts is subject to the laws and regulations administered by the State of California. Similar to California real estate law, all buyers must submit a written offer accompanied by an earnest money deposit in order to take a position in the purchase of a used boat listed through a yacht brokerage. This is the law. In this case, the buyer was informed of the requirements and elected not to act at the time. Shortly thereafter another buyer came along who did act. This resulted in the sale of the boat. This review is false account of the events as evidenced by the written correspondence and verbal communication we have had with this individual. We have since had verbal, written and personal contact with this individual in an attempt to resolve any misunderstanding. Each time he has acknowledged the facts and told us he would remove the negative review.

Review: Ballast Point Moscow Mule Ale

Ballast Point’s latest brew is decidedly experimental, and if it’s an experiment that resonates with you, I’d love to hear about it. Moscow Mule Ale is exactly what it sounds like: A sour ale spiked with ginger and lime, giving it the semblance of a Moscow Mule cocktail. All of those elements are in effect and in your face here, the spicy ginger providing an instant rush of heat, the lime puckering the mouth with sourness, and, most of all, the sour ale underbelly providing a lingering, enduring funk that takes the sour lime and slowly morphs it into a weedy mushroom note that grips the palate for what seems like hours.
