Good plywood built is as good as good polyester. Your fireball is just a yard that does things efficient, means cheap. There are very fast plywood boats around in the size of 26 ft. This range is good for plywood (and poyester too),, not to thick, strong enough. Larger ( 12 to 15m) go aluminum, smaller polyester.
