Lurssen has announced the successful delivery of superyacht ARETI (ex.PROJECT SASHA) to her owner on the 19th of July. After cruising through the Mediterranean this summer, she will be presented at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show this September.

Launched in April 2017, the 85m/279ft luxury yacht features the styling of London based Winch Design , who chose contemporary exteriors and a bright yet traditional interior for the perfect balance between activity and relaxation. The accommodation consists of a grand owner’s suite plus 8 guest cabins, all of which have access to the lavish spa located on the lower deck. Inside, there is a sauna, hot tub and plunge pool. On the same level is the expansive beach club that opens up onto a large swim platform via a transom door.

Forward of the owner’s suite is a private Jacuzzi and sun lounging area, as well as a space to dine alfresco. A second Jacuzzi is available to all guests on the sundeck, where everyone can also indulge in rest and relaxation on the sumptuous sun pads.

The gently curving exterior follows the owner’s previous choice of colour scheme, with a pale cream hull merging into a white superstructure and accents in grey. View motor yacht ARETI and be a part of her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show , running from the 27th-30th of September.

Lürssen delivers 85m superyacht Areti

The 85 metre  Lürssen  superyacht  Areti  was successfully delivered to her owner earlier this week (July 19), the German yard has confirmed. She will spend her debut season cruising the Mediterranean before attending the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show .

Areti 's steel hull and aluminium superstructure were built to DNV GL standards and the whole project is PYC compliant, meaning up to 18 guests can be accommodated in nine cabins. It is understood that she will be flagged in the Cayman Islands and her interior volume totals 2,850GT.

Exterior styling is courtesy of British studio  Winch Design , with a cream-coloured hull, white superstructure and grey accents. Winch also developed Areti 's interior décor, which is described as "traditional but fresh" — key materials include neutral fabrics and lavish woodwork.

These latest photos showcase her design attributes, with a large, cat-eye shaped section of glazing along the main deck and a curvaceous superstructure. A pair of dramatic superyacht staircases lead down from the aft deck to the large swim platform, and the cutout section in the bow hints at a foredeck tender garage  beneath the fully-certified helipad.

In a statement, the yard added: "Project Sasha is a voluminous yacht featuring a large master suite and eight spacious guest cabins. A luxurious spa accommodating a sauna, hammam, jacuzzi pool and full depth plunge pool on the lower aft deck present a relaxed outdoor space with a light and open beach club. Private exterior decks create the perfect retreat for the guests."

Areti  ranks among  the world's top 200 largest superyachts , with an LOA of 85 metres, but she is not one of the  10 biggest Lürssen superyachts  ever built. Top spot, of course, goes to the  world’s largest yacht , the 180 metre  Azzam .

Other projects currently under development at the German yard include Project Thunder , which was launched earlier this year with an LOA in excess of 120 metres.

Last year we saw the world debut of Lürssen’s 85-metre M/Y Areti at the Monaco Yacht Show. In the run up to this year’s most prestigious yachting event which will take place from the 26 to 29 September, we take another peak at Areti and celebrate the luxury superyacht in all its glory.

Delivered in 2017 by the German shipyard, Lürssen, Areti’s luxe interior and sleek exterior styling is courtesy of British studio, Winch Design . A juxtaposition of dark wood and light fabrics is complemented by warm lighting. “Her interior has a traditional feel with an American classic twist,” comments Andrew Winch at Winch Design. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure project was built to the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) and DNV GL standards. .

Areti can accommodate up to 18 guests in a nine-stateroom layout with an interior volume totalling 2,850gt. Guests on board are spoilt for choice when it comes to entertaining and relaxing outdoors. The superyacht also includes a spa with a hot tub, full depth plunge pool and relaxation area , which connects to a large swim platform at the transom. The large swim platform is accessed via staircases that lead down from the aft deck, while ahead of the owner’s suite is a private area fitted with a Jacuzzi and a spacious sunbed with breakfast table. This is just one of the private deck spaces for the owners and guests to enjoy in the utmost privacy.

The owner of this 85-metre custom superyacht has owned three Areti's prior to owning this larger and bespoke  Areti by   Lürssen.

Lürssen, it’s a superyacht titan and a name synonymous with nautical expertise.

In fact, when the famed German superyacht builder announced its 2850gt leviathan Areti would make its international debut at MYS 2017, we at SuperyachtNews couldn't help but get excited.

Areti’s proportions are certainly impressive. At 85m and with a beam of 15m, the steel-hulled superyacht has about the same volume as a small moon; however, as this superyacht hails from the renowned drawing boards of London design-house Winch Design, she is a synthesis of extraordinary intricacy and intimacy.

Take the promenade sidewalks that connect bow helideck to remaining yacht space, Winch Design has ensured walkways are of ample size so guests can walk side-by-side instead of in single file.

Bearing the same cream hull and white superstructure as the owner’s previous yachts, Areti is visually conservative and mature. In many ways, Areti is like a Patek Philippe Grand Complication - an exquisite piece of engineering embodied in a classic-style that never ages.

Aboard, the main-deck corridor leads to a mid-ship double-width glass door, an entryway into the heated marbled-floor elevator connecting the first four decks of this penta-deck behemoth.

Accommodation for 18 is split across two main-deck forward suites, two VIP cabins and owners cabin on the upper-deck and remaining four guest suites positioned astern of the lower deck.

The master-stateroom is (as you would expect of a Winch-Lürssen collaboration) an opulent Shangri-La. Flanking the entrance corridor are dressing rooms and separate en-suites, each an acreage of space. Featuring watch cabinet, in-shower television mirror, several handbag and shoe racks (for her, not for him) and sizeable Jacuzzi bath, the level of luxury aboard will be rarely surpassed.

Panoramic glazing frames the master-stateroom. Revealing private owners terrace, Jacuzzi spa for four and extensive lounging and dining space, access to the bow helideck is also an easy affair.

At the heart of the yacht is a power-plant formed of twin MTU 2,000kw engines affording Areti an alleged maximum speed of 17 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles.

Following the Espen Oeino designed 104m Amadea , H2 designed 123m Al Lusail and Winch designed 74m Aurora , 85m Areti brings Lürssen’s total length of delivers for 2017 to a smidge under 400m, and according to SuperyachtIntelligence 4,580m since the turn of the 21st century.

Who Bought The Areti Super Yacht?

A new owner has bought Lürssen motor yacht ARETI, a four-deck luxury vessel built in 2017 and styled by Winch Design. The 85-meter superyacht Areti, jointly listed for sale with Burgess and Fraser, was announced sold after eight months on the market. Built by Lürssen and PYC, Areti was asking €175,000,000. The yacht was delivered to her owner on July 19th, after completing sea trials. The launch of the sleek and sophisticated custom superyacht Areti is the second to take place in 2017 for Lürssen, not including the recent and mysterious appearance of three Alberto Bailleres.

The 85-metre superyacht Areti was built by Lürssen in 2017, and it will spend her debut season in the Mediterranean. The yacht’s full-beam decks and profile signal that she has room to host a crowd. The yacht was designed by Lead Exterior Designer Jim Robert Sluijter.

Taiwan is Asia’s largest boat builder, with small superyacht brands like Horizon and Ocean Alexander leading the way. St. Augustine is home to a Russian billionaire’s 7 million yacht, Areti I, which was originally commissioned by billionaire Igor Makarov and built at Lurssen as Areti in 2017. The yacht Amatasia was originally commissioned by Makarov and built at Lurssen as Areti in 2017.

In other news, property tycoon Nick Candy is selling his superyacht for £54 million.

Lürssen Areti, on an owner scale

Areti is an 85 meter long superyacht designed by Winch Design, built in steel and aluminium by Lürssen. The hull is cream coloured with a white superstructure and slight grey accents

Areti by Lürssen is a real masterpiece of naval engineering, where luxury finds a perfect equilibrium thanks to the attention to the smallest details. The interiors are like something from a dream and the large terraces, split over several levels and featuring the ubiquitous swimming pool, create a stunning overall effect, designed to achieve the impossible.

The exterior of the Areti , which is 85 metres long and 15.14 metres wide, is marked by smooth and refined lines. It has a range of 6000 nautical miles cruising at 12 knots, with a maximum speed of 17 knots.

This luxury yacht, which would make anyone daydream, can host up to 20 guests and 28 crew members in maximum comfort. Particular attention to style and details makes even the interior unique: spacious lounges and dining rooms allow guests to enjoy the service level of a 5 star hotel, all while in the middle of the ocean. Top-quality materials are used to create a very characteristic décor, with both the exterior and interior designed by London-based Winch Design Studio .

Facing the complex task of keeping the design in line with the Passenger Yacht Code, the Winch team has given the yacht sleek and perfectly balanced lines, complemented by a traditional yet fresh interior with a classic American style. As always with any project of this size and importance, it is vital to have a cohesive team working together, and the success of this yacht is due to the strong synergy between the Winch design team and the Lürssen project team.

Areti was completely made to measure, built exactly to the owner’s requests, and is a very large superyacht with a gross tonnage of 2,851. Its layout was designed to host family and friends and despite the large spaces, the yacht feels intimate and cosy. A combination of straight and moulded Makore wood forms the basis of the traditional styling and enhance the luxurious atmosphere that is created by the soft, hand-embroidered fabrics and the antique brushed brass ironmongery.

It is a yachtsman’s yacht – the quality of the craftsmanship and the detailed design shine through in all aspects.

On stepping aboard the yacht to the main deck aft, you are welcomed by a granite reception bar flanked by custom made armchairs, teak barstools complete with customised, lit beer taps proudly displaying the yacht logo.

The main corridor harbours the elevator, which reaches all bar levels on the sun deck, and the main entrance of the yacht is set on heated marble flooring. This original French window entryway has a characteristic nautical compass inlaid on the floor in Emprador and Botticino marble, which are used throughout the yacht. Areti has a spacious master suite and eight guest suites. Two suites can be found forward on the main deck, two VIP suites on the owner’s deck and the remaining four are located on the lower deck.

On the lower deck aft is the Spa, which extends to the adjacent wet lounge which also serves as a beach club. The flooring is oiled teak parquet designed to blend the interior and exterior, and opens through the large mirror door onto the swimming platform, with a ladder descending into the sea that has become a popular design feature of Lürssen yachts. Another feature is the treatment room with hairdressing area and a special massage chamber with heated marble massage table and Vichy shower. It really is pampering at its best.

The Spa lobby, specifically requested by the owner, offers a glass-walled storage display for eight bicycles and four Segways.

The master stateroom has 180-degree views through panoramic windows, which are bordered by made-to-measure unique curved furniture made to fit the arched window. A private deck with a four-person hot tub, spacious sunbed, breakfast table and small seating area can be accessed from either side.

Forward of this area is the certified heli-landing area, providing easy transfers to and from the yacht for the owners and their guests. This deck also leads down to the main deck via side decks wide enough for guests to walk side-by-side instead of single file, a Winch Design trait.

On venturing aft on the owner’s deck, you are greeted with what is without doubt one of the most beautiful and inevitably the most frequented areas of the yacht – a large sky lounge.

Giant sofas and armchairs make up the cinema area with an enormous flat screen TV, soberly concealed behind a painting exclusively commissioned from artist Alexander Creswell.

There is also an adjustable games table for four or six players. A large bar with granite top and custom bar stools with hand-embroidered back detailing create the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail or two. Almost full beam double glass doors lead out onto the upper aft deck, dominated by a custom teak table that can comfortably seat 16 guests.

Moving up to the bridge deck, guests can soak in the custom-made hot tub, big enough for 12 people to relax in after a session in the gym, visible through the double glass doors, which houses a treadmill, elliptical cross trainers, wellness balls, weights and bespoke yoga equipment – enough to satisfy even the hardiest of gym goers. Forward of the gym is the captain’s cabin, the ship’s office and the bridge.

The bridge instruments are all perfectly integrated in an immaculate hand-stitched leather and granite dashboard.

There is also a small seating area, should the guests wish to join the captain while he pilots the yacht. Doors port and starboard provide access to the outside decks.

The sundeck is the pièce de résistance. This is an amazing place to sunbathe while observing the picturesque views. An unbeatable windshield keeps the area sheltered, and from here you can see the beautiful design of what has become known as the whale tail of the yacht.

The engine room is the heart of the yacht and a masterpiece of Lürssen engineering, with polished stainless steel machinery.

Powered by two MTU engines developing an outlet mechanical power of 2,000 kW each, Areti reaches a top speed of 17 knots and has a range of 6,000 nautical miles. With a keel laying date prior to 2016, the engines and auxiliary engines are fully compliant with the applicable IMO air pollution requirements featuring HUG particle filters and soot burners for the auxiliaries to keep emissions low.

Overall, Areti is a stunning feat of design and construction, a real head-turner, and she is bound to be the envy of even the most discerning of superyacht owners.

Lürssen is known for stopping the show at Monaco, and this year it didn’t disappoint with the 279-foot Areti . Winch Design gave Areti a quasi-classical profile, with a high-riding forward section and tall radar tower on the sun deck. The hull is cream-colored and balanced by the white superstructure and gray accents. Areti ’s owner chose this color scheme to match his previous yachts. Winch describes the design as “beach chic,” with private terraces in guest staterooms and a full-service spa that includes a sauna, hot tub, full-depth plunge pool, meditation area, and an “experience” shower with multi-temperature water jets, therapy lights, and aromatherapy scents. Lürssen built Areti to the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC), so the boat has eight staterooms and a full-beam master suite.

The owner’s suite also has its own private deck, complete with a Jacuzzi, sun bed, and breakfast table. Just steps away, Areti ’s bow helipad also allows for easy ship-to-shore transfers for the owners and guests.

They came out to replace the starter on my boats generator - it was hidden and out of my reach. They finished the job in less time than estimated, took care of a couple of smaller issues, and all works great.

Stopped in for some advise on fixing an old generator that is beyond repair (replacement part not being made). They were very friendly and professional. Recommended that I look for a used or rebuilt unit and suggested a couple of models that could work.

Incompetent service by an arrogant know nothing. Insists he know the part I need and the two o rings that go with it. I even point out that my Kohler generator is not the same one that he show to me. He remarks it is the same thing. I even point out the picture of the schematic I have in my hand . He is too lazy to even look it up. He thinks he has it memorized and sends his assistants to get it. A whole day wasted . Another day to try to get the right part. Three hours total of wasted driving and gas!!! Find another place for your yacht supplies. You could not any worse if you ordered the part on AMAZON!!!!
