An ISA Classic: The Majestic 65m RESILIENCE

By Heather Collier

The ISA Classic 65-metre M/Y Resilience has reached completion at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Ancona.

With her naval architecture crafted by Palumbo Superyachts and exterior and interior penned by TEAM for Design's Enrico Gobbi, Resilience remains a seamless fusion of style, craftsmanship and refinement, demonstrated across her six, exemplary decks.

Edmiston and RVB Marine managed and supervised the project on behalf of her owner and acted as the owner’s representatives.

Constructed in steel and aluminium, Resilience’s internal layout boasts six spacious cabins with a seventh convertible, including a full-beam owner suite located on the forward main deck. Clean, modern furniture with polished lines was purposely selected to integrate with the exterior and create an effortless blend.

“Nothing is left to chance in this design. Even the double-colour blue and white exterior paint was designed for the same purpose as the black windows, which is to confer on the yacht a streamlined and dynamic profile from stem to stern along the whole length of the hull. Another distinctive feature which lightens her shape and makes her appear more elegant is the design of the mast, with two large wings supporting the satellite domes and further elongating the profile," comments Enrico Gobbi of TEAM for Design.

“The interior design has been studied in collaboration with Carlo Lionetti Co-Director interiors for Team for Design on Resilience. We wanted to express a modern and refined style demonstrating an equally meticulous attention to the use of steel and to details in general.”

Beginning from the lower deck, the 4x4 metre transom door lies in tandem with the swimming platform when lowered, which combined with the two opened side doors, transforms the entire area into a beach club with an expanse of more than 180 square metres.

In terms of key features, versatility and lighting are the signature elements of the lower deck, which consists of a relaxing lounge area, bar, showers, gym, a sauna, massage room and initial welcome area for boarding and disembarking guests from the accompanying tenders.

The beach club can be accessed via three different unique spaces: an external staircase from the aft deck, an internal staircase adjacent to the massage area and a scenic corridor running through a transparent glass enclosure, from crossing the engine room, connects directly to the beach club with the lower deck lobby and the guest cabins. Not only is this feature convenient but acts as a stunning insight and view into elements of a yacht that is rarely seen.

The beach club’s colour palette consists of different shades of blue, across both metallic and lacquered surfaces and natural materials like teak.

Through the skilful integration of light and different hues, guests can enjoy the stylish bar area with its frosted Murano glass panelling. The lighting scheme in the yacht was studied in great detail, and in this area it includes a lane of ceiling LED lights running symmetrically with respect to the central door, accompanying the view up to the back wall.

The latter is formed by sinuous waves of teak and LEDs reflected onto the two stainless steel and glass plates of the ceiling, which is actually the floor of the main deck swimming pool. This solution allows light to filter through the water, creating beautiful patterns and a tranquil atmosphere.

The lower deck features 4 large guest cabins connected to the main deck by a circular staircase. This staircase runs between all decks and features a stunning glass jellyfish installation of various colours that accompanies the view to the sky. A tribute to the sea, this piece of art symbolises the vastness of the ocean and the harmony of shapes and movement and looks stunning when lit at night time.

On-board equipment includes two jet skis, a 27ft guest tender and a 19ft crew tender. These are stored in the large forward garage. A side door opens to port and beam cranes maneuver the tenders into the water.

The crew quarters are placed on the lower deck forward, and can comfortably host up to 15 people in 8 cabins, plus the Captain’s cabin behind the bridge.

Passing the lobby heading aft, guests can enter the large main saloon and dining room, with sizeable sofas and a 12-seater dining table.

The spectacular 6-metre long swimming pool located on the stern and equipped for counter-current swimming is certainly a scenographic element. The cockpit is completed by a large C-shaped sofa with coffee table and front sofa.

Past the lobby, guests can find the spacious sky lounge with comfortable sofas designed for lounging and movie-watching, and a bar area with a marvellous self-playing Edelweiss transparent grand piano.

The bridge deck forward hosts the integrated bridge with separate radio room, the Captain's cabin, and the sixth VIP cabin with private terrace.

Resilience's sun deck is by far the most versatile area. From the bow, the secluded mosaic-tiled Jacuzzi allows guests to enjoy large sunpads alongside an outdoor shower to relax in and cool off after basking in the sun.

Measuring over 1400 GT, Resilience has huge volume. 2 MTU 12V engines of 1500kW each reach a 17.5-knot maximum speed, cruise at 14 knots and provide a range of 5500 nautical miles at 11 knots.

Resilience is currently available for charter with Edmiston.

"Nothing is left to chance in this design. Even the double-colour blue and white exterior paint was designed for the same purpose as the black windows, which is to confer on the yacht a streamlined and dynamic profile from stem to stern along the whole length of the hull." ISA Classic 65 metri M/Y Resilience: style, craftsmanship and refinement

The ISA Classic 65 metre motoryacht Resilience is an extraordinary creation completed at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Ancona.

Designed and conceived from the outset as a showcase of everything the Shipyard can do, the yacht embodies a skillful fusion of style, craftsmanship and refinement throughout all 6 decks of this 65-metre superyacht. The exterior and interior design was developed by Team for Design Enrico Gobbi while Palumbo Superyachts technical team were the naval architects. Edmiston and RVB Marine supervised the project on behalf of the Owner and acted as Owner’s Representatives.

Constructed in steel and aluminum, the yacht internal layout features six cabins with a seventh convertible, including a full-beam owner suite located on the forward main deck. Contemporary furniture with clean lines was purposely selected to integrate with the exterior and create a harmonious blend.

Measuring over 1400 GT, Resilience has huge volumes and clever design.

“Nothing is left to chance in this design. Even the double- colour blue and white exterior paint was designed for the same purpose as the black windows, which is to confer on the yacht a streamlined and dynamic profile from stem to stern along the whole length of the hull. Another distinctive feature which lightens her shape and makes her appear more elegant is the design of the mast, with two large wings supporting the satellite domes and further elongating the profile. The interior design has been studied in collaboration with Carlo Lionetti Co-Director interiors for Team for Design on Resilience. We wanted to express a modern and refined style demonstrating an equally meticulous attention to the use of steel and to details in general” , comments Enrico Gobbi of TEAM for Design.

Starting from the lower deck, the 4×4 metre transom door aligns flush with the swimming platform when lowered, which combined with the two opened side doors, transforms the entire area into a beach club with an expanse of more than 180 square metres.

Versatility and lighting effects are the key elements of this portion of the lower deck, which consists of a lounge area, bar, showers, gym, sauna, massage room and a welcome area for boarding/disembarking guests from tenders.

The beach club has three different accesses to the rest of the yacht: an external staircase from the aft deck, an internal staircase to the right of the massage area, and a scenic corridor running through a transparent glass enclosure which, crossing the engine room, directly connects the beach club with the lower deck lobby and the guest cabins. This is a unique feature which as well as being very convenient, gives guests a fascinating view into the beating heart of the yacht that they rarely get to see.

The colour palette of the beach club is based on different shades of cobalt blue applied to metallic and lacquered surfaces, combined with natural materials like teak.

A lively element with great impact, thanks to the perfect indirect integration of light and the skillful use of blue, is the frosted and knurled Murano glass panel decorating the front of the bar counter.

This solution allows light to filter through the water, creating beautiful patterns and a magical atmosphere, especially at night.

The lower deck features 4 large guest cabins connected to the main deck by a circular staircase. This staircase runs between all decks and features a stunning glass jellyfish installation of various colours (designed by Arch. Gobbi and made by Preciosa) that accompanies the view to the sky. A tribute to the sea, this piece of art symbolises the vastness of the ocean and the harmony of shapes and movement and looks stunning when lit at night time.

The 12-metre wide full-beam owner’s cabin on the main deck includes two private foldable terraces on both sides. The central bed here is crowned by a custom-made chandelier, also made by Preciosa in crystal and polished chromed steel to a design by Enrico Gobbi. The materials used are evocative, like the brown Palissandro veneered furniture and the onyx tops that ascribe a modern, refined and very luxurious feel.

Moving towards the stern, we find a seventh convertible staff cabin. The professional stainless-steel galley is located on the port side.

Passing the lobby heading aft, we enter the large main saloon and dining room, with sizeable sofas and a 12-seater dining table. This area was designed with opening doors on all sides, so that when they are all open it can also form a contiguous part of the aft swimming pool area. The sliding partition doors between the lounge and the dining area allow these areas either to be combined into one large room or kept separate, making the whole space extremely flexible depending on the use required.

The spectacular 6-metre long swimming pool located on the stern and equipped for counter-current swimming is certainly a scenographic element. The cockpit is completed by a large C-shaped sofa with coffee table and front sofa.

The bridge deck forward hosts the integrated bridge with separate radio room, the Captain’s cabin, and the sixth VIP cabin with private terrace. Continuing towards the stern we find a comfortable and very private Owner’s office, also provided with terrace and bathroom (the sofa here is convertible in case it is needed for an extra guest). Past the lobby, we enter the very spacious sky lounge. Here we have comfortable sofas designed for lounging and movie-watching, and a bar area with a marvellous self-playing Edelweiss transparent grand piano. The bar itself is also a real design feature, with backlit onyx behind and a stunning lighting scheme. Outside on the bridge deck aft, the custom made 12-seater table boasts custom-made Vaar chairs in polished steel and mahogany. The external cockpit on the bridge deck is completed by large sunbeds and sofas, and also fitted for an incredible outdoor cinema, with a very wide flat screen hidden in the stern hardtop.

The sundeck is certainly one of the most versatile areas on board Resilience, thanks to the articulated system of pocketing door openings that can either make this deck completely open, or close and air-conditioned in the mid-section for use in inclement or very hot weather. Going from the bow the secluded mosaic-tiled Jacuzzi allows guests to fully enjoy moments of relaxation, with large sunpads alongside and a outdoor shower to rinse in. A set of semicircular glass doors into the interior under the hard top provides access to the staircase lobby, and then through a second sliding door, we reach the sundeck lounge and dining areas. These are naturally lit by the two symmetrical side skylights, one above the dining table (for 12 guests), and the other above the relaxation area.

A second fully retractable semicircular glass door then leads to the cockpit aft, where the focal element is a custom-made circular fireplace made from cracked glass and polished stainless steel. Here there are also more sunpads and a large BBQ area.

Above the main sundeck, Resilience has one further deck: the observatory deck. This provides a very private sunbathing area and a small coffee table with chairs where guests can enjoy a unique panoramic viewpoint in total privacy and peace.

On-board equipment includes two jet skis, a 27ft guest tender and a 19ft crew tender. These are stored in the large forward garage. A side door opens to port and beam cranes maneuver the tenders into the water.

The crew quarters are placed on the lower deck forward, and can comfortably sleep up to 15 people in 8 cabins, plus the Captain’s cabin behind the bridge.

Designed specifically for the charter market, the 65m ISA RESILIENCE offers a range of facilities, including flexible accommodation, a vast beach club, an outdoor cinema, and both a pool and Jacuzzi.

The RESILIENCE yacht became the flagship for builder ISA Yachts when she was launched in 2021. It’s easy to see why: as well as her vast array of charter-perfect amenities, she’s got a packed toy garage and is overseen by a crew with an excellent record.

Interior Design & Engineering

Designed by Enrico Gobbi, the interior of the RESILIENCE yacht is decorated in a neutral palette with modern, minimal, module furniture. This creates flexible spaces that you can truly live in and enjoy.

Her upper deck lounge is luxurious, with plenty of sofas, a self-playing translucent Edelweiss grand piano in the corner, and a sit-up bar aft. You can close off the dining room with the sliding glass doors for more privacy or hang out in the sky lounge for a more casual atmosphere.

The sun deck of the RESILIENCE motor yacht can be totally open or enclosed. It’s where you’ll find a mosaic-tiled spa pool with sofas on either side, a circular fire pit and a barbecue area.

This luxury superyacht sleeps 12 guests in seven cabins. The full-beam master suite on the main deck features fold-down terraces on both sides , an office that can be transformed into a single cabin (ideal for staff) as required, and his and her bathrooms. The VIP suite is also on the main deck and equipped with its own private terrace. A private office is also located on the upper deck. The rest of the guests are split between two doubles and two convertibles on the lower deck.

Yacht facilities & Entertainment

Enjoy your RESILIENCE yacht charter by making the most of her vast amenities. You can squeeze in some exercise in the gym, then unfurl in the sun deck Jacuzzi or pamper yourself with treatments in the steam room and massage room.

The main deck boasts a deep, six-metre pool aft with a waterfall feature and a counter-current, surrounded by sun pads to lounge on. Steps lead you down to the swim platform, where you can fold down the stern door to create a beach club and enjoy the lounge and bar at sea level.

Evenings are fun-packed on RESILIENCE. There’s a folding projector for screening movies on the bridge deck aft, space for dining indoors or alfresco, and a couple of bars throughout.

Toys and Crew

A crew of 15 will make your RESILIENCE yacht charter unforgettable. Most of the crew members have been working together since 2016 and have an excellent charter record.

Amongst the array of water toys, there’s a range of kayaks and SUPs for some surface paddling. You can also hop on the Jet Skis, wakeboards, water skis, knee boards and seabobs if you enjoy moving through the water at speed, or load up the towable inflatable toys for faster fun. For the most adventurous, the flyboard will be a great experience.

  • Master suite with fold-down balconies
  • VIP on the upper deck with private terrace
  • Steam & Massage rooms
  • One pool & one jacuzzi
  • Outdoor cinema
