Superyacht AVANTAGE (PROJECT HAWAII) is an 87m/285ft vessel built by German shipyard Lürssen and launched in 2020. The shipyard created her naval architecture while her exterior styling comes from Bannenberg & Rowell, who also produced her interiors. The onboard accommodation layout and crew complement have yet to be revealed by the shipyard.

The lower deck swim platform provides a spacious place for sunbathing beside the water, and joins to the main deck aft via two stairways.

The main deck aft has room for an alfresco lounge/dining area in the sunshine, with half of the deck area shaded by the upper deck overhang.

The upper deck, bridge deck and sundeck aft all have plenty of space for multiple sunbathing areas or an alfresco lounge arranged so that guests can split into smaller groups for more intimate conversation. There is also room for multiple alfresco dining options, with sweeping views of the destination.

The frida star recently celebrated her 57th birthday.

Salma Hayek was the epitome of glamour as she soaked up the sun on a luxurious yacht in Ibiza this weekend. 

The stunning actress , who recently celebrated her 57th birthday, flaunted her incredible figure in a vibrant yellow bikini, proving once again that age is just a number.

The Frida star looked absolutely radiant with her hair styled in playful braids, exuding both elegance and a youthful spirit. 

As she posed effortlessly on the deck of the yacht, the Spanish flag fluttered in the background, perfectly framing her sun-kissed beauty.

It’s clear that Salma is living her best life, having spent the month of August indulging in the ultimate European summer. 

From gliding across the turquoise waters of Ibiza to basking in the luxury of various yachts and pools in France and Spain, the actress has been enjoying some well-deserved downtime with her husband, François-Henri Pinault, 62.

Salma has always been open about her secrets to staying fit and fabulous, and it’s no surprise that her glowing appearance is the result of her dedication to wellness. 

The Magic Mike's Last Dance star has previously shared that she practices restorative yoga, enjoys juice cleanses, and takes daily walks with her beloved dogs, whom she affectionately calls her "trainers."

Reflecting on her journey, Salma once told Glamour, "I thought getting older meant I wasn't going to work. I'm working. I thought getting older maybe meant that you're not in love anymore. I'm in love." 

She continued with her trademark wit and resilience, saying, "I don't feel that I lost my flexibility or my agility or even my strength... Hell, I'm still going. Shocker. I'm still here. They tried to get rid of me a thousand ways. I'm still here."

Indeed, Salma’s life is one that many would envy. She and François-Henri, the CEO of the luxury group Kering—known for owning iconic brands like Gucci, Balenciaga, and Yves Saint Laurent—have been married since 2009. 

The couple shares a 16-year-old daughter, Valentina, who is growing up to be just as beautiful and poised as her famous mother.

In a candid interview with Vogue Arabia earlier this year, Salma opened up about her marriage to François-Henri, a man who has not only supported her but also enriched her understanding of the fashion world. 

Sitting alongside her close friend and fellow actress, Penélope Cruz, Salma reflected on how her relationship with the fashion mogul has influenced her style. "Some of my friends joke and ask, 'How did you land this guy?'" she said with a laugh.

Salma went on to discuss how her approach to fashion has evolved since marrying François-Henri. "It did change my relationship with fashion because it gave me an insider's view on a lot of the interesting parts of fashion," she explained. "It's not just about going shopping, which I'm not a big fan of. I have a different appreciation for it, so now I enjoy it more."

But Salma’s life with François-Henri isn’t just about glamorous events and designer clothes. Their love story is also one of family and connection. 

When the couple said "I do" in a romantic ceremony in Paris, Salma became a loving stepmother to François-Henri’s three children from previous relationships: François, 26, and Mathilde, 23, from his marriage to Dorothée Lepère, and Augustin, 17, whom he shares with supermodel Linda Evangelista.

Tahiti, St. Thomas and the French Riviera — I’ve yachted in all of these exotic locales, albeit from the comfort of my couch. And, millions of Americans are in the same boat.

In 2013, “Below Deck,” introduced the masses to the most glamorous mode of traveling: yachting. Since then, it’s become a Bravo mainstay with Season 9 of “Below Deck Mediterranean’’ premiering in June.

But how real is the reality show? I spent five nights on a yacht in Croatia to find out.

A tip on tipping

My suitcase wasn’t bursting with Benjamins. An agency at your final destination provides cash for the crew’s tip money. While you’re expected to tip $30,000 for a two-night cruise on “Below Deck,” in real life you only have to tip 10% to 15% of your charter fee. That’s about $10,000 for a two-night cruise on a 180-foot charter yacht like Mustique (from $250,000 a week), which stars in the new season.

According to Zvonimir Androić, president of the yacht charter company Via Croatia, more often than not, the tip comes from what’s left over after provisioning.

So, shun the Dom Pérignon and skip the beluga caviar, and you’ll have money to spare.

What’s up, dock?

In real life, “Below Deck’s” favorite commercial-break cliff-hanger isn’t nearly as dramatic. Docking in our yacht, Via Croatia’s five-cabin, 100-foot Adriatic Escape (from $52,800 a week), was breezy.

I asked the crew if they hated setting up the slide — a tortuous, Herculean task if you believe what you see on TV.

“It’s not that bad,” a twentysomething Croatian deckhand, as cute as his on-screen counterparts, told me. “That said, we’re definitely not sad if you don’t ask for it.”

Play it cool

Despite being served meat on more than one occasion, my vegetarian co-guests on board weren’t divas when it came to cuisine — a major source of chef-related stress on the show.

Tantrums aren’t the norm Barbie Pascual, the “Below Deck” stewardess famous for putting up with former “RHONY” star Jill Zarin’s demands for the perfect Diet Coke in the “Real Housewives of Grenada” episode, tells me. “Guests know they are being filmed so their reactions are more extreme than they’d be if the cameras weren’t around,” she says.

Pascual’s biggest tip for first-time yachters? Don’t go skinny dipping, like they do on the show, after dark.

“People forget about currents, sharks, etc.,” she says. “Jumping in the water should always be with the captain’s consent!”

Our humorless Croatian yacht captain was a far cry from “Below Deck Mediterranean’s” affable Captain Sandy Yawn. I think we only saw him twice over the course of four days, and he definitely didn’t join us for dinner.

That was fine by us because the stews and deckhands were always handy with anything we needed — including at chat.

Asking for it

“No” is a word you’ll never hear on a yacht, unless there is a safety issue, Pascual says.

While we didn’t ask our crew to do a striptease or decorate for ‘70s night (two recurring requests on the show), out-there demands aren’t out of the question, as long as you’re willing to pay for it.

For example, Via Croatia is currently retrofitting one of its multimillion-dollar superyachts for an upcoming charter booked by a multigenerational Jewish family from Florida.

“In addition to paying the charter fee, the client is literally buying everything new: pots, pans, silverware, et cetera,” said Androić. “They’re even spending $30,000 on a new tender for the elderly mother-in-law.”

Now, I’m no reality show producer, but a picky primary trying to keep his wife, her elderly mom and their kosher kids happy at sea has the makings of an Emmy Award-winning episode.

Yachting on a budget

Charters are cheapest at the beginning and end of a destination’s season. Via Croatia’s yuppiest yacht, the 160-foot, 12-cabin Agape Rose , fetches $200,000 a week in July and August. But it’s just $164,000 a week in April and October. Divide that by 24 of your closest friends and family and it’s just $6,800 a person.

If that’s still too much, consider booking a yacht club suite on one of MSC Cruises ’ Mediterranean voyages.

Sure, you’ll be on a cruise liner, but for $1,659 a person you’ll be treated to seven nights of private butler service with a private pool and restaurant that the pleb passengers don’t even know exists.

Boasting modern lines and a streamlined profile, VANTAGE was delivered in 2010 by the esteemed shipyard Palmer Johnson and has recently been joined by her support vessel Ad Vantage , a refitted Damen-built Sea Axe vessel. Previously an offshore patrol vessel, Ad Vantage underwent an extensive transformation at the Oceania Marina in New Zealand last year. The duo is now based in Tahiti and the support vessel can be hired, depending on the itinerary and duration, at an extra fee when chartering her mothership. As part of her four-month refit, Ad Vantage was lengthened with a new transom platform housing a stern anchor. Her deck was reconfigured and 60 seats were replaced by three guest cabins, a captain’s cabin and an office. The duo is now based in Tahiti and the support vessel can be hired, depending on the itinerary and duration, at an extra fee when chartering the mothership. She can accommodate a whole host of water toys including an unusual Triton three-seater submarine, Hobie Cat sailing catamarans, a 34ft Jupiter fishing boat and surfing boards. Fuel for the mothership can also be carried on board, and she boasts Quantum Speed Stabilizers and a Helia crane in order to easily off-load and retrieve tenders and water toys. The footage also provides an unprecedented glimpse into charter life on board motor yacht VANTAGE. Guests relax in the sundeck Jacuzzi, unwind on the foredeck and indulge in delicious food and drink. Elegant living spaces composed of limed oak and the aft deck alfresco dining area are likewise revealed, and a selection of the impressive variety of water toys and tenders are captured in action. The beautiful cruising grounds of what is thought to be the South Pacific are also caught on film. Jungle-clad mountains soar into blue skies and the azure waters are teaming with marine life such as dolphins, turtles and an array of multi-coloured tropical fish.
