How to Behave at Cannes’s Elite Yacht Parties ( If You Get In)

P Diddy invites celebrities and friends for a party on a yacht in Cannes. Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Michelle Rodriguez, Tara Reid, Benito Del Toro and more were seen aboard.Pictured: P Diddy.

If there’s one defining difference between the celebrities and the little people at Cannes (you know, besides having won the genetic lottery), it’s the ability to get one’s self on a yacht. Sure, there are some yacht owners who dock near the Palais and welcome anyone friendly and daring enough to climb onboard, offering them a glass of Champagne no matter how mid-priced their wardrobe. But we’re talking about the elites-only megayachts — the ones so big that they don’t fit in no stinkin’ harbor; the ones whose flashing lights and cheery revelers you watch from the beach each night, anchored just far enough out to sea to make it clear that you will never be able to board one. Like Roberto Cavalli’s or — the mother lode — Paul Allen’s yacht, on which he threw his annual special-people-only party on Tuesday, and where, special people tell us, a spontaneous band formed with Allen on guitar, Jeremy Irons on harmonica, and Cyndi Lauper on vocals. (Allen’s guest list is, however, extremely respectful of the film festival, and he invites every director in competition to come … the lucky, talented bastards).

Over the past week, these impenetrable yachts have become an obsession for this reporter. How do you get on one? What happens once you’re onboard? Are the life jackets plated with gold leaf? So, in the event that I (or you, dear readers!) ever actually get onboard a yacht, I grilled those who were lucky enough to do so to compile a list of dos and don’ts. DO wear shoes you don’t like. As Grey’s Anatomy veteran Melissa George told us at the IFP/Euphoria Calvin Klein/Calvin Klein Collection party honoring women in film, held at a private villa in the hills (okay, okay, world’s smallest violin), the first thing one does when getting on a yacht, is take off one’s shoes. This is particularly important for women in heels, which yacht owners or renters don’t want scratching their floor. “It’s weird to see everyone, you know, their real height and their feet out,” she says. “It’s a great equalizer, a yacht. It makes everyone as they are.” A word of caution, though: “You lose your shoes a lot of the time. You don’t have your shoes when you get off the boat.” So what’s a girl to do? “Take somebody else’s, which has happened.” Is she usually the victim or the perpetrator? “Can’t remember. It’s a good thing.” DO be prepared to make your own fun. What about you, Joshua Jackson? Any complaints? “The company, occasionally,” he told us at the IFP party. “Thing is, once you’re on a boat, you’re stuck. And it’s never my boat. So you’re just stuck. But I’ve actually never had a bad experience here. Other than the fact that it never stops and there’s no way to get out, it’s always been pretty lovely.” DO remember whose yacht you were on, because those of us who will never get to be on it will forever resent you for not appreciating it. Jackson, who had been on Paul Allen’s yacht with his girlfriend, juror Diane Kruger, followed this rule well: “It’s quite impressive,” he says. “Turns out, when you rule the world, you have a really nice boat.” Kruger, on the other hand, failed. “I’ve only been on one yacht here and that was the guy, the one with the submarine. That was fun.”

Jackson interrupted, laughing, “Did you just say, ‘What’s that guy?’”

Joshua: You know, the dude that invented that thing …

Diane: Guess I’m not being invited back to that guy’s yacht any time soon.

Joshua: You blew our cover, hon.

Diane: Shit, man. I was so cool for a second, but that was that. Thanks for throwing me under the bus! If you rent a yacht, DON’T make your crew hate you. We met some random New Yorkers who’d decided that renting a yacht at the festival would be easier than dealing with a hotel. (Why didn’t we think of that?) They did something on the very first day on the boat that somehow made the crew hate them. They’re still not sure what it was — just being American? — and they actually seemed like nice, generous people despite a complete lack of awareness of other people’s incomes (let’s just say the words Chanel and fur came up quite casually in conversation). By day two, the crew’s active hatred of their passengers had become such that, said one woman, “Every time they pass by us, it’s so tense we’ve actually just stopped making eye contact. And we’ve still got the boat for another five days.” DO realize that having a yacht is a free pass to anywhere. Privilege begets more privilege: Our wealthy New York friends told us that if you show up anywhere on a yacht, they just let you in. Last year, they drove their yacht up to the back of Red Granite Picture’s ultra-exclusive Kanye West concert and the party masters welcomed them with a big ol’ triple-cheek kiss. In contrast, this reporter had been on land, begging for over an hour to get inside before a kindly exiting partygoer gave me her wristband halfway through the concert. By the end of the week, my pining, hoping, and wishing paid off, and I was welcomed on a yacht … though, to be fair, it was a docked one, which hardly counts (you’re only on a real yacht if you have to take another boat to get to it). It was for a party hosted by Art of Elysium, and thanks to all my research, I was prepared! There was a shoe check, which diminished the chance of ending the evening in someone else’s Louboutins (which was a shame, since I came in Steve Maddens and would have welcomed the upgrade). The company was, as I had been warned (thanks, Joshua Jackson!), not of a kind I was used to, but rich people are people, too, and I had some fine conversations. Plus there was food and good Champagne. I’ll leave it to Jada Pinkett Smith, who we saw at the IFP/Calvin Klein event, to tell it like it really is. Is there anything bad about partying on a yacht in Cannes? “No,” she answered, laughing. “I can’t say that there is. Just make sure that you can always see the shore.” Let’s make that another “DO” on this list of rules that I will never have a chance to utilize.

Yacht Description

Motor Yacht ANTISAN is a magnificent 33m luxury yacht built by the esteemed Spertini/Alalunga shipyard in Italy and designed specifically for charter purposes. The yacht has undergone continuous upgrades to ensure she remains in excellent condition. ANTISAN is the ideal vessel for yacht charters in the Mediterranean, as well as corporate yacht charters during events like the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix. The yacht ANTISAN is based in the Port of Cannes, adjacent to the Palais des Festivals, where several famous events take place such as Cannes Lions, Cannes Film Festival, TFWA Cannes and the MIPIM property exhibition.

ANTISAN is one of the few charter yachts that can legally accommodate more than 12 guests, with a capacity of up to 40 guests cruising. This makes her the perfect yacht for large groups, corporate events, yacht weddings, and parties. ANTISAN is a preferred choice for professional footballers, athletes, and celebrities looking to have a day out on the water with friends on the French Riviera.

Luxury yacht ANTISAN has a beam of nearly 8 meters, providing ample deck space and internal volume for entertainment. Her interiors are elegant and spacious, featuring beautiful walnut cabinetry and refined, neutral fabrics. The main saloon has comfortable seating and a beautiful dining area. The yacht’s huge master cabin is located forward on the main deck and features an ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. The yacht also has four more guest cabins, three spacious doubles, and a twin cabin with an additional pullman berth. Every guest cabin onboard charter yacht ANTISAN is ensuite and has Satellite TV, Hifi, and full air-conditioning. The yacht undergoes regular improvements inside and out, with no expense spared by the owner to keep it looking modern and offering the highest level of amenities.

Charter yacht ANTISAN features a large dining table on the aft deck that can seat 10-12 guests for lunches and dinners. Forward, there are spacious sunpads and a deck jacuzzi for ultimate relaxation. The upper deck is fully covered and can seat up to 30 people for sit-down meals, a rare feature on yachts of this size.

This makes ANTISAN the perfect yacht for corporate yacht charters, product launches, weddings, and prestigious events such as MIPIM, Cannes Film Festival, Cannes Lions, and the Monaco GP. The yacht can host fabulous parties in port for 70+ guests, and additional space on the quay can accommodate even more. At the MIPIM property exhibition in Cannes every March, ANTISAN regularly welcomes over 2,000 guests over the four days of the event.

In addition to a prime berth in the Port of Cannes, Motor yacht ANTISAN can secure the best berths in Monaco and St Tropez for your next event on the French Riviera!

The most crucial aspect of a successful yacht charter is a great crew, and ANTISAN excels in this regard. Her highly professional crew has been together for many years and is entirely dedicated to every charter they perform. Captain Andrea Bianchi, originally from Italy, has been based on the Côte d’Azur for over 30 years, and his knowledge of all popular Mediterranean cruising grounds is unmatched. The volume of repeat clients returning to the ANTISAN yacht year after year is testament to Captain Andrea and his crew’s dedication to ensuring exceptional charters every time. Motor yacht ANTISAN is always kept in perfect condition with regular upgrades. Over the winter of 2022/2023, the yacht underwent a mini-refit with lots of interior enhancements, new furniture on the flybridge, a new forward seating area, and new jet skis and toys.

Wow, I can’t say enough great things about this excursion. Luckily, we went out on a week day and there were only a few other people on board. It was so nice! They had a gorgeous lunch on board for us. We sipped rose and swam behind the boat. They even had kayaks and paddle boards to try. Overall, it was a first class experience. We could not have been happier. The captain and his crew were a perfect 10.

Cannes is a sophisticated destination and therefore, you should dress appropriately for a boat tour.

For men, this means long trousers (no jeans or shorts), a shirt with a collar (preferably a polo shirt or button-down shirt), and closed shoes (no sneakers or sandals).

Ladies, on the other hand, should opt for a summer dress or skirt and a top, as well as closed shoes.

It is also advisable to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect you from the sun’s rays, and don’t forget your camera or smartphone to capture those stunning views!

Finally, if you are planning on swimming during the tour make sure to have a spare set of clothes and a towel.

Inside Paul Allen's yacht party - hottest ticket at Cannes Film Festival 2018

By Oliver Pearson   17 May 2018

On Monday, Microsoft co-founder and renowned philanthropist Paul Allen once again brought the Cannes Film Festival to life by throwing an exclusive and suitably glamorous party on board his 92m/303ft motor yacht TATOOSH .

No stranger to hosting extraordinary yacht parties, Paul Allen has thrown many appropriately themed parties at the annual Cannes Film Festival , occasionally hosting them on board his other vessel, the 126m/414ft luxury yacht OCTOPUS .

Indeed, in the past Allen has hosted a Bollywood themed party as well as transforming the exterior of an earlier yacht to replicate an ‘Enchanted Garden’ scene from Shakespeare.

This year, the theme was ‘An Evening in Casablanca’, a theme which had the star-studded guests arriving in timeless tuxedos and glamorous gowns.

Transforming the upper deck salon into an impressive rock and roll venue, Allen and his band had guests throwing shapes on the dance floor well into the night.

Something of a celebration for the owner, Allen has enjoyed great successes in his ocean conservation and protection efforts this year, helping to locate sunken warships in the South Pacific. This follows on from the earlier success of Paul Allen unearthing WW2 Japanese Battleship Musashi on board motor yacht OCTOPUS.

Step inside the party for yourself with a selection of the best social media posts taken from the event below.

Kindly encouraged not to take photographs of the interior, guests were asked to maintain the privacy and secrecy of the superyacht whilst on board.

With tenders departing from Capitainerie Vieux-Port, those handed one of the prized invitations were welcome to bring a plus one and told to expect a night of live rock music and dancing.

Kicking of the Mediterranean yacht charter season, the Cannes Film Festival 2018 is now in full swing and will be brought to a close on Saturday.

Naturally, due to its proximity to the other hotspots, Cannes makes for the perfect start to a South of France yacht charter following on from the festival.

To find out how you can be a part of the iconic film festival, be sure to get in touch with your preferred charter broker to discuss all future options. Alternatively, take a look at all yachts for charter in Cannes .

16 of the best must-see new boat launches at Cannes Boat Show

  • Cannes Yachting Festival
  • Top stories

Alex Smith takes a look at the best boats that are on show at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, with several global launches

Founded in 1977, the Cannes boat show takes place in the beautiful French city every September and showcases almost 600 boats, including motor yachts, superyachts, catamarans, tenders and sailing yachts.

The official line-up of boats for the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival features hundreds of boats in all shapes and sizes. In fact the show is so bog that it can be difficult to know where to start in terms of taking a look at the latest models.

Fear not, MBY’s Alex Smith has taken a look through the programme and has pulled together his expert list of the best boats at Cannes Boat Show.

16 of the best boats at Cannes Boat Show

Azimut seadeck 7.

Azimut is coming out all guns blazing at Cannes with not one but three new show debuts. The freshest of these is the Seadeck 7, which was still having the finishing touches applied to it just weeks before the show.

Like its smaller sibling, the Seadeck 6, which was launched earlier this summer, the 7 has a strong focus on sustainability and will be the first Azimut to feature a full diesel electric hybrid drive.

Recommended videos for you

A single-level main deck that features sliding glass doors along the port side and out to the cockpit blurs the boundaries between inside and out, while a compact flybridge leaves space behind it for a substantial solar array.

Four cabins and three heads provide sleeping space for up to eight guests plus a further ensuite crew cabin if needed.

Ferretti Infynito 80

The big news from Ferretti this year is the second model in the Infynito range. Like its bigger sister, the Infynito 95, the 80 is all about comfort, volume and refinement rather than sporty looks and high speed. To that end it features a bluff bow, a wide beam of almost 21ft (6.36m) and a raised pilothouse design that frees up the main deck for more entertaining space.

However, the defining feature of every Infynito is the unusual covered foredeck lounge dubbed the ‘all-season terrace’. With its louvred sunroof and privacy-glass bow window, it provides enough shelter to use all year round while still allowing guests to enjoy the views and feeling of being outside.

Owners can choose to have this fitted with either an extending dinette for alfresco meals or a bar and stools with a full-width opening window into the galley. With no lower helm to worry about, this galley area occupies the entire front section of the saloon, leaving the rear half free for a large lounge and either an inside bar or dining area.

Princess S65

Nestling alongside the pontoons at the Vieux Port will be a pair of Princess world premieres in the form of the S65 and S80. As the smaller of the two, the S65 might lack the gorgeous air intakes we so admired on the S72 but it still delivers all the low-profile loveliness you would expect, thanks to a flybridge that is shunted aft and dropped deep, creating plenty of space for a set of sunroofs above the main deck helm.

The new boat will also share the same four-cabin, three-bathroom arrangement as the F65 but it’s the outdoor spaces that are really likely to impress.

At the back end, a huge fore-and-aft sunbed-topped tender garage is positioned between a neatly conceived engineering compartment to port and an ensuite crew cabin to starboard. Forward of this, a U shaped seating and dining area looks forward toward an inside-outside galley and a pleasantly sheltered corner seat to starboard.

Sunseeker Predator 55

This is the first chance to see the new Predator 55 in the flesh, giving potential buyers the opportunity to compare it with its sibling, the Superhawk 55. The transformation from open weekender to hard-top sportscruiser certainly looks to be as clever as it is comprehensive, giving the Predator its own distinctive character as well as a more cruising-oriented design.

Owners can choose between a galley-up or galley-down layout, and if you go with the former, the vacant space below deck can be specified as a lower saloon, a third cabin or a utility room. Two other larger cabins, each with its own ensuite bathroom and additional headroom, provide greater comfort for guests.

This could well be one of the surprise stars of the show.

No other boat in its class appears to pack in quite as much as the new Pearl 82 yet it still manages to undercut most of the competition on price.

The key to this clever packaging is a raised pilothouse design that leaves room beneath it for a main deck master cabin with its own foredeck terrace, as well as four more ensuite doubles on the lower deck. The innovations continue further aft with folding side platforms, two different cockpit configurations and a garage that’s large enough to house a Williams 395 and a Sea Doo jetski.

Absolute Navetta 53

Looking to escape Cannes’ sweltering festival pontoons? Absolute’s new 53 is a great way to do it. It comes with all the latest features you would want from a modern Navetta cruiser – plunging gunwales, large aft cutaways, huge staggered hull windows and vertical glazing in an upright superstructure.

While that makes it look much more dynamic than the previous 52, it’s good to see that the internal spaces are organised in much the same way. On the lower deck, the forward VIP takes up the slack for the full-beam owner’s cabin and large port bathrooms with a diagonal double berth to make best use of the day heads’ angled forward bulkhead.

There’s also a twin to starboard down here, and up in the saloon, the floor-to-ceiling windows are combined with rounded corners and subtly angled furniture to add extra charm to the 53’s traditional big-volume trawler-style space.

Beneteau Swift Trawler 54

While the styling of Beneteau’s new Swift Trawler 54 looks likely to flex more toward the smaller Swift Trawler models than the superyacht-inspired Grand Trawler 62, the ingenuity behind the internal design looks very strong.

Rather than simply revel in the volume that a trawler design can bring, Beneteau has decided to divide each level into discernible zones for extra intimacy and homeliness.

The saloon, for instance, features three sections – an upper dinette adjacent to the helm; a casual lower lounge with a coffee table; and a transverse galley between the two. The galley is cordoned off from each space by means of a glass screen but you can still communicate easily or escape to the port side deck by means of the galley door. And the delineation of the deck levels also collaborates in that separation, enabling you to step aside from the main party and chill out in peace, exactly as you might at home.

Down below, you get a full-beam owner’s cabin with an ensuite bathroom, plus a forward VIP, a port bunk room and a port bathroom with Jack and Jill doors – and while that might sound quite formulaic, the design intelligence down here again looks pretty impressive.

FIM 500 Regina

Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi (FIM) has come a long way in a short space of time on the back of a range of stylish open boats from 34ft to 47ft. During this year’s Cannes festival, the yard will be revealing its largest craft to date, the new FIM 500 Regina.

The most distinctive feature of the new 500 is a swooping carbon-fibre hard top that links up with the windscreen to create a nicely sheltered helm position. This incorporates 3kW of solar panels to help power the ship’s systems and keep charge the batteries charged. Another neat idea is a two-part sunpad on the foredeck with a sliding front section that can be pushed forward to create an aft facing bench at the bow.

Solaris Power 60 Open

Solaris has earned itself a reputation for building some of the prettiest motor boats afloat and the new flagship of the Open range will only serve to enhance that view. Curves in all the right places, an elegant flowing side profile and smart but restrained detailing give it effortless presence on the water. Even with a plain white gelcoat (Solaris typically opts for bolder colours), it oozes style.

It’s a similar story up on deck where folding side terraces increase both the size and the outlook of its already generous cockpit, while a long open hard top (with the colour matched to the hull) provides plenty of shade for its occupants.

antiere del Pardo, an icon of Italian boating for more than 50 years, is set to launch three new boats at Cannes, and for motoryacht aficionados, the most exciting of them will be its new flagship GT75.

While this third and largest GT model is designed to straddle the slick, feel-good day boats of the Walkaround P Class and the more practical four-season Endurance platforms of the fly-equipped E Class, it certainly appears to flex quite decisively in favour of outdoor entertainment.

The aft deck, for instance, features a huge beach club zone, spread across three different levels with a set of fold-down terraces that are set higher than usual and can be adjusted to any angle, enabling you to use them as sofas, sun loungers or lateral dive platforms.

The space between them can be left open for freestanding furniture and tender stowage or it can be fitted with a huge central sun pad above an enclosed tender garage. If you opt for the former, you also get direct access to the beach club from the owner’s cabin through a set of steps leading up to sliding glass doors.

Pershing GTX80

Although the GTX80 made a brief appearance at the Venice show in June, this will be the first chance for most visitors to get up close and personal with it. As with the original GTX116, this is. Pershing’s attempt to create a crossover yacht that offers the style and brand values of its high performance craft, with a bit more space in exchange for a little less pace.

Triple 1,000hp IPS1350s still push it to a useful 34 knots (its sister yacht, the 8X, tops out at 48 knots) but now the focus is on guests having just as much fun at anchor as the skipper has underway. Folding side terraces and a two-tier bathing platform combine to make a vast beach club zone where guests can spread out close to the water, and because the LOA is genuinely under 24m (rather than the LLL), it’s not subject to the strict anchoring limitations affecting many craft in the South of France.

This isn’t just a new boat. As the first entry from WiLder, an offshoot of parent company, Wider Yachts, this is the world debut of an entirely new brand. The core idea behind it is to introduce superyacht-level comfort, refinement and detailing on an easy-to-handle 60-footer that can be fully customised in line with the owner’s requirements. And in light of Wider’s recent work with the WiderCat 92 multihull and the Moonflower 72 superyacht project, the company looks very well placed to make that happen.

Built entirely from aluminium, boat number 1 looks likely to come with a fairly conventional layout, comprising a collection of central seating and sunbathing furniture, orbited by full walkaround side decks.

Those side decks ascend up a trio of steps toward the bow, helping create the volume down below for a private forward owner’s suite to supplement the guest and/or crew cabin amidships. Between these two zones, the central saloon will feature a galley and sofa, plus a starboard day heads.

Designer Stefano Pastrovich did brilliant things with Fiart’s original P48 and he will again be showcasing his talent in Cannes with a new P-Line flagship. Like the P48, the P58 is a multi-purpose cruiser with an elegant multi-tier main deck, a raised cushion-lined bow and a cavernous space below decks that’s tailor-made for customisation.

In terms of layout, the new boat is split into four key sections. At the back end, a pair of asymmetrical sunbeds looks aft toward a stern deck with a drop-down transom. Ahead of that, you take a step up to a large dinette with an alfresco galley, a dining table for eight and a pair of extra sunbeds.

The bow supplements that with a slightly recessed sun deck and the option of a retractable Japanese-style table. And down below, that multi-tier main helps create a huge central lounge with nearly 10ft of headroom, lots of natural light and a big galley with an American-style fridge. As standard you get two large ensuite “owner’s cabins”, one forward and one aft and, in line with Fiart’s quest to deliver a taste of the superyacht lifestyle, there’s a third heads dedicated solely to day guests, as well as a crew cabin with its own ensuite.

Cannes has become a hotbed for powercat premieres and the YOT 41 is likely to be one of most interesting yet. Just a year after the launch of its debut 36-footer, the new YOT 41 promises more comfort, more power and more fun, and its capacity to equip a family for a longer cruise is a key part of that.

It comes with two spacious cabins, each with private ensuite facilities, as well as a deck layout that includes a pair of fold-down aft platforms that expand the beam to more than 19ft. That means you have about 270 sq ft to play with and the modular furniture is designed to make the very most of that. Rated to carry up to 20 people, it features a pair of dinettes at the stern with convertible backrests and tables so you can rig it for sunbathing.

You can also opt for an electric platform between the outboards with a 200kg lift capacity, enabling it to operate as a chill-out zone, a toy-launch station, a swim platform or a simple passerelle. In addition to the squared-off bow lounge, you also get a midships settee and galley, as well as the luxury of four helm seats in the shelter of the wraparound screen.

Once you’ve finished investigating Pardo’s GT75, why not come and take a look at this? Having kick-started its powerboating mission in 2021 with a startlingly elegant 43-footer known as the Shadow, this famous Finnish builder is back with a 76ft walkaround weekender that adopts much the same approach. You get the vertical stem, the flared gunwales, the open transom and the hardtop. But this time, the grander scale enables the inclusion of roof-mounted sun pads and accommodation for up to six.

While the standard belo- decks layout comprises a full-beam owner’s suite and a forward VIP, separated by a downstairs lounge with galley and day heads, the optional three-cabin layout sacrifices the lower seating area for an extra twin.

Cranchi is launching two new boats at the show – this all-new 62 and the 67 Corsa, a sportsfly version of its existing 67 flybridge. It’s the former that is likely to prove more interesting, if only because it’s the first big Cranchi to feature a plumb bow.

But that’s not the only innovation. The 62 also gets a tender garage that converts into a beach club and a hydraulic platform capable of carrying a jet ski. Teak decking that extends through from the cockpit into the galley and dining area blurs the boundaries between inside and out, while a sunroof over the forward end of the saloon and a skipper’s door to the side deck should do the same for the helm position.

More guest areas on the flybridge and a safe and sociable foredeck lounge provide extra functionality. And that continues below deck with three ensuite cabins and an optional crew cabin. «Yacht girls» hoffen auf die grosse Karriere – und landen in der Edelprostitution

Junge Models und Schauspielerinnen werden von reichen Männern auf Jachten engagiert. Was passiert dort?

@bellawolfgang Guys!!! I graduated top of my class 😜🤪 yacht girl summer is alive and well in Monaco. I’m just out here making all my single ladies proud 🫶🏼 #hotgirlsummer #yachtgirlsummer #eurotrip #eurosummer #traveltok #travelwithme #singlelife ♬ original sound - Bella

Was in internationalen Gewässern passiert, interessiert oft niemand.

The Perfect Cocktail Menu For Your 'Perfect Couple' Watch Party

Nicole Kidman and Eve Hewson with cocktails

Netflix and kill, anyone? If you're anything like us, then you spent most of the weekend watching Netflix's new, highly bingeable murder mystery series, "The Perfect Couple." Starring Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, and Dakota Fanning, among other notables, this six-episode TV mini-series follows the Winbury family, a wealthy Nantucket-based clan, during what should be their son and brother's picture-perfect wedding. Everything goes awry when the maid of honor, played by a bubbly and delightful Meghann Fahy, washes ashore the morning after the rehearsal dinner.

Okay, no spoilers, we promise that's all we'll reveal about the plot. Aside from Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber's chemistry as husband and wife, the main star of the show has been the Blackberry Mojito. Introduced in the pilot episode titled "Happy Wedding Eve," this drink is matriarch Greer Garrison Winbury's (aka Nicole Kidman's character's) signature welcome drink for guests. Since the show's premiere on September 5, 2024, internet searches for "Blackberry Mojitos" are up a whopping 600% percent. It's clear that fans are thirsting for more cocktail pairings to fit the show's seaside, luxurious vibe — and we're here to bring them.

How to make a Blackberry Mojito

Two Blackberry Mojitos with fresh blackberries

Mojitos are a refreshingly crisp drink that you can typically find on casino floors and served up sandside at beach resorts. While there are endless ways to put a little twist on the classic Mojito recipe , adding blackberries is a particularly genius move. The tart berries play perfectly off the sweetness of the sugar, and the added deep purple swirl gives the drink a nice pop of color. Making a Blackberry Mojito is just about as easy as making a Mojito, you only need one five-second adjustment: The Blackberry Mojito takes a standard Mojito recipe and simply adds blackberries into the pre-spirit mixture.

So, you start out with ½ ounce of mint simple syrup, or, if you're feeling lazy and don't want to make your own simple syrup, you can just add the juice from 1 lime, 1 teaspoon of raw sugar, 5 mint leaves, and 4 to 5 blackberries to a glass and use a muddler to mash all the ingredients together. This should unlock those vibrant aromas, and using the bigger-grained raw sugar will help it break down and mix in with the other ingredients. Next, add some ice, 1 ½ ounces of white rum, enough club soda to fill the glass, and your garnish. We suggest a couple of beautiful, plump blackberries stabbed through the middle. This is a great pre-dinner drink and would pair wonderfully with  a grazing table or a charcuterie board .

Cozy up with a Cape Codder

A Cape Cod cocktail with lime

A Cape Codder (or a Cape Cod) might sound like a fancy-pants cocktail you'd see a member of the Winbury family clutching while admonishing a housekeeper, but in reality, Cape Codder is just another name for a Vodka Cranberry . This classic cocktail, dating back to the 1940s, is allegedly named after the Cape Cod Resort, and is the quintessential Massachusetts drink considering that cranberries were first cultivated on Cape Cod in 1816. This makes it a perfect companion for the show, which takes place in Nantucket. It's a great yacht drink, too, meaning it's delightful on a hot day, easy to make on a rocky boat, and bougie as all get out.

To make a true, authentic Cape Codder, you can't forget a spritz of lime and lime wedge garnish — and bonus points for using locally-sourced cranberry juice. Springing for the lime is an easy way to elevate your Vodka Cranberry  and also brings a great color contrast to the drink. It's never recommended to imbibe on an empty stomach, so we recommend whipping up some  cranberry Brie bites as a delightful appetizer that will keep your guests satiated, while still leaving enough room for dinner.

Kick back with a Nantucket Mule

A Nantucket Mule with scattered cranberries

Continuing on the theme of classic cocktails dressing up as regional drinks for some added pizzazz, we have the Nantucket Mule, named for the island on which the show takes place. This take on the Mule might not be as recognizable as its counterparts, such as the Mexican Mule or Kentucky Mule , but the cocktail brings the same amount of refreshing spice. Each Mule variation has its own twist, and this one is no different. Unlike the Moscow Mule, which features vodka, mint, lime, and ginger beer, the Nantucket Mule contains an added ingredient (you guessed it!): cranberries. To make a Nantucket Mule, all you need to do is start out with the standard Moscow Mule recipe and simply add 1 ½ tablespoons of cranberry juice, sauce, or jam to your tumbler.

If you're feeling ambitious, try making your own cranberry compote to add to the drink. You can use Bryan Voltaggio's cranberry-Riesling compote recipe , just skip the Riesling for this one or your drink will be beyond boozy. The Nantucket Mule is the perfect drink to pair with seafood. The spice from the ginger beer and tartness from the cranberries will cut through any salty, briny flavors. We recommend giving oysters Rockefeller a try with this drink. The Winbury fam would definitely approve, just keep everyone away from the kitchen and all its sharp tools — if you catch our drift.

A toast twist: Champagne Cocktails

A Mimosa cocktail next to a full pitcher

It's nearly impossible to attend a wedding weekend without spending a considerable amount of time sitting through some dreadful speeches. That's why speeches are always accompanied by Champagne, to make them easier to bear. Just kidding (sort of). You don't need to spend much time with the Winbury family to know that they like to take everything up to an elevated level of poshness. So, when it comes to having Champagne as your  "Perfect Couple" watch party pièce de résistance, pouring it straight from the bottle into a flute simply won't do. Instead, try turning your Champagne into a cocktail by adding a splash of your favorite fresh fruit juice.

This is essentially what Champagne-based cocktails like French 75s, Marasca Fizzes, Mimosas , and Bellinis are: some variation of fruit mixed with Champagne. Champagne and seafood go together like, well, money and murder. To keep your "Perfect Couple" night on theme, we recommend whipping up some buttery New England-style lobster rolls  to serve as the entrée. Don't be intimidated if you have no experience cooking lobster, this is basically like a fancy, toasted sandwich (and you can even buy pre-cooked lobster meat). This recipe only takes 15 minutes, so you can spend the majority of your time parked in front of the TV with your friends, trying to figure out who killed who.

Non-alcoholic Plum and Ginger Mocktail

A Plum Ginger Cordial Mocktail

Non-alcoholic drinks are having a (non)spirit-ual awakening in this country. Get it? Okay, sorry. You're right, it's a stretch. Aside from their increasing popularity, we thought something like a  Plum and Ginger Cordial Mocktail would've been the perfect offering at the Winbury house considering that Abby Winbury is pregnant, and there might be other non-drinkers on the guest list as well. Insert sly smiley face here. Nicole Kidman, for one, doesn't drink, although it does seem like her character, Greer, likes to partake in a cocktail or two. She is a writer after all.

A Plum and Ginger Cordial Mocktail is made in the same way you would prepare the recipe's cordial — with tea, orange juice, ginger, plums, and sparkling water — but to make it zero alcohol by volume (ABV), you can omit the gin. Pssst ... the Nantucket Mule also makes for a great mocktail, just skip the vodka and you're good to go. Whether you're binging the "Perfect Couple" show or reading the book on which the series is based, it's always fun to get lost in a good story. By pairing your entertainment with some of these cocktails and bites, you'll be able to enhance your experience to a 3D level. Maybe pick up a bouquet or two of hydrangeas and throw on your best vintage gown to really get into the Winbury spirit.
