Returning to the French Riviera for six days between 12-17 September 2023, the Cannes Yachting Festival is the unmissable start of the international season.

Europe’s largest in-water show, running since 1977, features over 700 boats, including 140 previews, to delight nearly 55,000 expected visitors at Vieux Port and Port Canto.

A significant new feature for 2023 is an area afloat in the Vieux Port, which will accommodate over 50 smaller boats from 8-12 metres.

“As the show’s DNA is to offer the most eclectic offer possible, it seemed natural to us to host in the best way its small units, traditionally displayed ashore on the Quai Max Laubeuf, in a dedicated floating area,” says Sylvie Ernoult, director of the Cannes Yachting Festival .

The ‘Green Route’, initially launched in 2021, also returns this year to highlight those exhibitors developing eco-friendly innovations, whether in alternative engine power, a consumption-reduction system or eco-friendly materials. Firms already on the Green Route include Silent-Yachts, BlueNav and Fountaine Pajot.

The innovative Austrian shipyard Silent-Yachts is continuing its journey into an eco-friendly future with the world debut of its new flagship yacht at Cannes 2023: the Silent 62 3-Deck solar electric catamaran.

“Once again this year, our visitors will enjoy discovering some real gems in-water and on land, boats of all sizes and types, equipped with ‘traditional’ or carbon-free engines with the first onboard electric, hybrid or hydrogen power systems,” says Ernoult.

Port Canto hosts the leading players in the sailing industry. At the heart of the sailing area, the start-up village, launched in 2021, highlights marine start-ups working on breakthrough technologies. Also, for 2023, a selection of previously owned boats over 22 metres long will be available for sale or hire at the nearby brokerage area.

The Vieux Port focuses entirely on the motorboat industry. It has over 480 boats in the water and on land, while the Jetée will welcome the legendary international shipyards and large vessels over 22 metres.

At Cannes 2023, Benetti presents the first unit of the Motopanfilo 37M. This fibreglass and composite yacht takes its timeless design from the motoryachts of the 60s.

Azimut presents the world premiere of the new Magellano 60, a crossover that promises a 20 per cent reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This 60-footer stands out for the large spaces on board, generous without compromising the elegance of Ken Freivokh’s lines.

From the Verve Series, Azimut’s new Verve 48 makes its global debut at the Cannes Boat Show. This sport-weekender presents interesting developments designed by Azimut in collaboration with Francesco Struglia, who designed the interiors and exteriors.

The New Fly 72 joins the Magellano 60 and Verve 48 as the shipyard’s third international premiere at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival. The New Fly 72, the latest addition to the Fly Series, features exterior lines by Alberto Mancini and interiors by architect and designer Fabio Fantolino — making his debut in the marine world.

The S7, Azimut’s sport yacht with a green soul, is also to be featured on the water for the first time. Other Azimut vessels slated for display include the S8, Atlantis 51, Fly 68, and Grande Trideck.

Semi-custom yacht builder Arcadia has chosen Cannes for the world premiere of its crossover A96. Evo Yachts will also present the world premiere of R+, a sporty and functional yacht with an aggressive profile.

Sacs Tecnorib debuts with the new Pirelli 30 appearing for the first time in the water. Sunreef presents three world premieres, including the solar-powered 80 Sunreef Power Eco, capable of extended voyages anywhere in the world.

Invictus prepares to debut its special Vogue White TT420 edition at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023

Beneteau Sailing Yachts premieres its Oceanis 37.1 alongside models including Oceanis Yacht 60 and First 53. Joining Beneteau in Port Canto is Cantiere del Pardo, which marks its 50th anniversary by showcasing two new sailing models from Grand Soleil for the first time: the Grand Soleil 65 and the Grand Soleil 72 , both in the Long Cruise version.

Following its successful debut at Boot 2023 in Dusseldorf, Italian shipbuilder Invictus will showcase the Vouge White special edition of its best-selling Invictus TT420 , created by designer Christian Grande.

The world’s leading jet tender specialist, Williams Jet Tenders , will showcase two of its most popular models at Cannes. Visitors will have the opportunity to view a fully custom SportJet 345 on the stand, as well as a classic DieselJet 565.

British boatbuilder Princess Yachts has announced the world premiere of its all-new Y80 among an eight-strong yacht lineup.

Prestige introduces two brand new models: the M8 flagship and the first model in the new generation of the F-Line.

The all-new Wallywhy150 is set to make its international debut at Cannes, while Riva’s 82’ Diva, the entry-level model in Riva’s flybridge range, also makes an appearance.

Sirena Yachts’ smallest model to date, the Sirena 48, is also ready to make its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival . Despite the model’s official launch happening next month, Sirena Yachts has already sold 18 hulls of the Sirena 48 to date.

Coinciding with the shipyard’s 70th anniversary, Otam will debut its third 70HT at Cannes next month.

Unit three of the OTAM 70HT, designed by Giuseppe Bagnardi of BG Design Firm with hull lines by Umberto Tagliavini Marine Design, has been delivered to its owner and will be showcased in September.

Fountaine Pajot is preparing to debut its new flagship superyacht, the NEW 80 . The sailing catamaran has features including retractable side decks, expansive fore and aft cockpits, expansive flybridge, twin helm stations, and a master cabin with Jacuzzi.

Other Fountaine Pajot sailing catamarans on display include the Astréa 42, Elba 45, Tanna 47, Aura 51 and the Samana 59, while it will showcase three models from its motor yacht range: the MY4.S, MY6 and Power 67.

Dufour Yachts will also premiere two new models at the event with the Dufour 41 and Dufour 530 Smart Electric expected to enjoy strong attention. Additional models available for inspection include the Dufour 37, Dufour 430 and Dufour 470.

Pershing launched the second hull of its GTX116 this summer, and the 35m ‘sport utility yacht’ also makes its world premiere at Vieux Port this September.

Absolute Yachts will have a presence at the show with a range including the 48 Coupe, 52 Fly, 56 Fly, 60 fly, Navetta 48, Navetta 52, Navetta 58, Navetta 64 and Navetta 75.

Luxury motor yacht brand Bluegame is preparing for the upcoming debut of its first power multihull yacht, the Bluegame BGM75, from the new BGM line.

The premier model in this unconventional boat builder’s new BGM range, the BGM75 is built around the founding design principles of the Bluegame brand; maximum comfort, refinement and exceptional liveability.

Benefiting from increased stability, large volume, and reduced fuel consumption, the BGM75’s luxury accommodation is offered across two hulls.

Sunseeker’s 75 Sport Yacht — billed as the ‘ultimate social boat’ — made a low-key debut at Boot Dusseldorf in January but is re-appearing on the water at Cannes for a second hurrah.

And Sanlorenzo is set to make waves by unveiling the Sanlorenzo SX100 , the latest edition to the SX crossover range, for the first time at Cannes 2023. The new SX100 has an expansive saloon with large floor-to-ceiling windows affording panoramic views, minimising the division between the interior and exterior of the yacht.

When it’s not being used as a sundeck or beach club, the transom design on this 30.5-metre yacht allows for the storage of multiple water toys and a large tender up to 5.65 metres. Up to eight guests can be accommodated in the four-cabin lower deck layout, which is divided into an owner’s cabin, a VIP   cabin   and two twin guest cabins.

A unit of the much-anticipated Sanlorenzo SX100 was sold to Southeast Asia shortly after its announcement at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival and is expected to be delivered in April 2024.

Finally, celebrating the success of one of its most popular models, Lagoon Catamarans is launching its 1000th Lagoon 42 during the yachting festival.

The global catamaran brand will also be presenting its Lagoon 46, 51 and 55 models at the show as well as its Sixty 5 and Seventy 7.

One Response

Bon Jour My husband and I are coming from the United States and staying at the Carlton Canne from September 12-16. We want to attend the yachting festival for one day. With the VIP tickets it states pick up Carservice. Does that mean you pick up and drop off at the hotel? Otherwise, where do we go for car pickup and drop off? Merci.

Vieux Port, Cannes

12 - 17 Sep 2023

By Katie Scott

Back for its highly anticipated 46th edition, the Cannes Yachting Festival is a staple event for both the yachting and social calendars of Cannes.

Scheduled to run from 12-17 September 2023, this show is one of the leading in-water yacht shows in Europe. The Cannes Yachting Festival attracts around 700 boats each year, which are divided between two iconic marinas; Vieux Port and Port Canto.

Setting itself aside from many other yachting events, the Cannes show offers visitors rare opportunities to indulge in sea trials on various motor yachts and luxury yacht charters , providing a first-hand experience of the yachting lifestyle at its best.

What to expect

Sea level view of Cannes Vieux Port. Motorboats berthed on port side with Cannes settlement visible in background.

Globally renowned for being one of the must-see yachting events of the year, attending the show will naturally introduce visitors to some of the biggest names and yachts on the market. Over 100 models make their global debut at the event each year, in addition to a host of toys and tender displays, showcasing the latest innovative developments in the industry.

Highlights of the 2023 edition will include the new floating exhibition of small boats with sizes ranging between 8 and 12 metres. Relocated from the land-based exhibition area on the Quai Max Laubeuf, organizers of the event have created a new dedicated area in the heart of Vieux Port to showcase the smaller models in a new light.

But with all the spectacular new yachts in the marina, visitors can also get excited about a trip down memory lane, with an incredible collection of vintage boats with the annual Concours D'Elegance display.

Three sailing boats underway in the Bay of Cannes, with marina and settlement visible in background.

Paired perfectly with a vibrant social scene, the popular Cote d'Azur event enhances the already enticing environment with a selection of side attractions and events.

Premium shopping at the Luxury Gallery prepares all charter guests for an indulgent West Mediterranean charter , with a specially curated selection of prestige retailers from fashion, jewelry, real estate and nautical niches.

For inspiration, visitors to the show can witness adrenaline-pumping watersports demonstrations with equipment often found on luxury yacht charter packages. Some of the activities include paddle boarding, Jet skis and flyboarding.

Chartering Cannes

Aerial view of Cannes. Settlement to port side with view of Bay of Cannes to starboard.

As one of the major highlights adorning the South of France , Cannes is a chartering destination not to be missed.

With social events sprinkled throughout the year at the famous Palais des Festivals, and of course within the marina, there are ample opportunities to see and be seen at some of the most prestigious events in France .

With such esteemed events like the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Cannes Film Festival attracting high demand each year, booking early is always advised for Cannes yacht charters.

Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 Revealed

festival yacht cannes 2023

Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 has announced details of this year’s show. As has been the case every year for over 45 years, Europe’s largest in-water show will be the first major international event of the yachting season.

Port Canto at Cannes Yachting Festival

Over 6 days, from 12 to 17 September, under the sunshine of the French Riviera, more than 650 boats of all sizes (from five to fifty metres) as well as the latest nautical equipment, numerous innovations and world previews will be unveiled for nearly 55,000 expected visitors: professionals, curious on-lookers, keen boaters or experienced enthusiasts.

A major new feature of the 2023 event is the creation of an area afloat in the Vieux Port, which will accommodate smaller boats, from 8 meters upwards, in response to demand from numerous exhibitors.

‘discovering some real gems in-water and on land’.

“Thanks to the renewed confidence of our exhibitors, this 2023 edition is looking very good with similar forecasts to the previous year, i.e. 600 exhibitors, more than 650 boats and 140 previews” explains Sylvie Ernoult, Director of the Yachting Festival.

Ernoult also added:

“This new edition will highlight the small units with the creation of a brand new area, a marina in the heart of the Vieux Port, which will accommodate more than fifty small motor boats from 8 to 12 metres. As the show’s DNA is to offer the most eclectic offer possible, it seemed natural to us to host in the best way its small units, traditionally displayed ashore on the Quai Max Laubeuf, i.e. in a dedicated floating area.” “Once again this year, our visitors will enjoy discovering some real gems in-water and on land, boats of all sizes and types, equipped with ‘traditional’ or carbon-free engines with the first onboard electric, hybrid or hydrogen power systems”

To conclude, Ernoult adds: “As is the case every year, all our teams are mobilised on a daily basis to offer a memorable experience to our exhibitors and visitors.”

A Spectacular Start to Show Season: Cannes Yachting Festival 2023

By Frances Flannagan

Kicking off the yacht show season, Cannes Yachting Festival is set to return from the 12th-17th of September for its 46th edition. It is a highly celebrated boat show, enjoyed by over 50,000 visitors, with boats ranging from 5 metres to 50 metres on display.

Located on the two luxurious ports of Cannes, the Vieux Port and the Port Canto, the Cannes Yachting Festival has been an industry favourite since 1977. The show offers nearly 650 boats each year, with the biggest actors in the industry and their latest innovations contributing to the unparalleled, eclectic feel of the festival.

Over 600 exhibitors attend the show, from the industry’s most celebrated boat manufacturers to luxury lifestyle brands, meaning that visitors can enjoy the full range of specialities that the industry offers. The exceptional opportunities that Cannes Yachting Festival offers is endless; not only is Port Canto set to be the largest sailing yacht exhibition in the world, there is also the opportunity to speak with leading industry experts at the Palais des Festivals to discover the latest yachting trends and gain an expert insight into industry. Cannes itself is the ultimate luxury destination, with an array of stunning beaches, spectacular shopping opportunities, and breathtaking views and scenery.

New to this year's show is the Small Boat Area; a floating space dedicated to 8m - 11m yachts, highlighting the festival’s exceptional initiative of showcasing a diverse range of yachts to attendees. Alongside this new addition, there are a plethora of exciting areas on offer throughout the festival. The Start-Up Village, located in the heart of the sailing area at Port Canto, is home to intelligent start-ups in the nautical sector offering high added-value services and breakthrough technologies. The festival has created a ‘Green Route’ to highlight the eco-high performance solutions proposed by the exhibitors, a concept introduced to the festival last year. The 'Green Route's' success is evident as it has been brought back for the 2023 show. This feature combined with the festival’s aims to reduce its activities’ environmental impact showcases its dedication to the sustainable future of the nautical industry.

Various debuts are set to attend Cannes Yachting Festival, highlighting its important place in the industry as an event in which new yachts and innovations are showcased for the first time. Amongst these debuts is the new Riva 82 Diva, which marks a new chapter in the reimagined use of space with a flybridge of 40 square metres. The wallywhy150 is another attendee, with a length of 24.1m and an exceptional execution of design, with interior volumes being unparalleled for a yacht of her size, along with a 270 degree view in the owners cabin.

Yachts boasting impressive design features are not the only vessels to be making their debut; the Magellano 60 built by Azimut represents a new vessel that enjoys long voyages at sea in an economical way. Built on the brand's second-generation dual-mode hull, it delivers up to 20 percent less fuel consumption than yachts of a similar size. The range of yachts that attend Cannes Yachting Festival highlight the range of expertise that are showcased: from impeccable design to breakthrough technology.

The festival is bound to be a showstopping start to the yachting show season, and the forty years of experience behind the event set the precedent for another remarkable show at Cannes in September.

"Thanks to the renewed confidence of our exhibitors, this 2023 edition is looking very good with similar forecasts to the previous year, i.e. 600 exhibitors, more than 650 boats and 140 previews." Sylvie Ernoult, Director of the Yachting Festival

Alex Smith takes a look at the best boats that are on show at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, with several global launches

Founded in 1977, the Cannes boat show takes place in the beautiful French city every September and showcases almost 600 boats, including motor yachts, superyachts, catamarans, tenders and sailing yachts.

The official line-up of boats for the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival features hundreds of boats in all shapes and sizes. In fact the show is so bog that it can be difficult to know where to start in terms of taking a look at the latest models.

Fear not, MBY’s Alex Smith has taken a look through the programme and has pulled together his expert list of the best boats at Cannes Boat Show.

16 of the best boats at Cannes Boat Show

Azimut seadeck 7.

Azimut is coming out all guns blazing at Cannes with not one but three new show debuts. The freshest of these is the Seadeck 7, which was still having the finishing touches applied to it just weeks before the show.

Like its smaller sibling, the Seadeck 6, which was launched earlier this summer, the 7 has a strong focus on sustainability and will be the first Azimut to feature a full diesel electric hybrid drive.

Recommended videos for you

A single-level main deck that features sliding glass doors along the port side and out to the cockpit blurs the boundaries between inside and out, while a compact flybridge leaves space behind it for a substantial solar array.

Four cabins and three heads provide sleeping space for up to eight guests plus a further ensuite crew cabin if needed.

Ferretti Infynito 80

The big news from Ferretti this year is the second model in the Infynito range. Like its bigger sister, the Infynito 95, the 80 is all about comfort, volume and refinement rather than sporty looks and high speed. To that end it features a bluff bow, a wide beam of almost 21ft (6.36m) and a raised pilothouse design that frees up the main deck for more entertaining space.

However, the defining feature of every Infynito is the unusual covered foredeck lounge dubbed the ‘all-season terrace’. With its louvred sunroof and privacy-glass bow window, it provides enough shelter to use all year round while still allowing guests to enjoy the views and feeling of being outside.

Owners can choose to have this fitted with either an extending dinette for alfresco meals or a bar and stools with a full-width opening window into the galley. With no lower helm to worry about, this galley area occupies the entire front section of the saloon, leaving the rear half free for a large lounge and either an inside bar or dining area.

Princess S65

Nestling alongside the pontoons at the Vieux Port will be a pair of Princess world premieres in the form of the S65 and S80. As the smaller of the two, the S65 might lack the gorgeous air intakes we so admired on the S72 but it still delivers all the low-profile loveliness you would expect, thanks to a flybridge that is shunted aft and dropped deep, creating plenty of space for a set of sunroofs above the main deck helm.

The new boat will also share the same four-cabin, three-bathroom arrangement as the F65 but it’s the outdoor spaces that are really likely to impress.

At the back end, a huge fore-and-aft sunbed-topped tender garage is positioned between a neatly conceived engineering compartment to port and an ensuite crew cabin to starboard. Forward of this, a U shaped seating and dining area looks forward toward an inside-outside galley and a pleasantly sheltered corner seat to starboard.

Sunseeker Predator 55

This is the first chance to see the new Predator 55 in the flesh, giving potential buyers the opportunity to compare it with its sibling, the Superhawk 55. The transformation from open weekender to hard-top sportscruiser certainly looks to be as clever as it is comprehensive, giving the Predator its own distinctive character as well as a more cruising-oriented design.

Owners can choose between a galley-up or galley-down layout, and if you go with the former, the vacant space below deck can be specified as a lower saloon, a third cabin or a utility room. Two other larger cabins, each with its own ensuite bathroom and additional headroom, provide greater comfort for guests.

This could well be one of the surprise stars of the show.

No other boat in its class appears to pack in quite as much as the new Pearl 82 yet it still manages to undercut most of the competition on price.

The key to this clever packaging is a raised pilothouse design that leaves room beneath it for a main deck master cabin with its own foredeck terrace, as well as four more ensuite doubles on the lower deck. The innovations continue further aft with folding side platforms, two different cockpit configurations and a garage that’s large enough to house a Williams 395 and a Sea Doo jetski.

Absolute Navetta 53

Looking to escape Cannes’ sweltering festival pontoons? Absolute’s new 53 is a great way to do it. It comes with all the latest features you would want from a modern Navetta cruiser – plunging gunwales, large aft cutaways, huge staggered hull windows and vertical glazing in an upright superstructure.

While that makes it look much more dynamic than the previous 52, it’s good to see that the internal spaces are organised in much the same way. On the lower deck, the forward VIP takes up the slack for the full-beam owner’s cabin and large port bathrooms with a diagonal double berth to make best use of the day heads’ angled forward bulkhead.

There’s also a twin to starboard down here, and up in the saloon, the floor-to-ceiling windows are combined with rounded corners and subtly angled furniture to add extra charm to the 53’s traditional big-volume trawler-style space.

Beneteau Swift Trawler 54

While the styling of Beneteau’s new Swift Trawler 54 looks likely to flex more toward the smaller Swift Trawler models than the superyacht-inspired Grand Trawler 62, the ingenuity behind the internal design looks very strong.

Rather than simply revel in the volume that a trawler design can bring, Beneteau has decided to divide each level into discernible zones for extra intimacy and homeliness.

The saloon, for instance, features three sections – an upper dinette adjacent to the helm; a casual lower lounge with a coffee table; and a transverse galley between the two. The galley is cordoned off from each space by means of a glass screen but you can still communicate easily or escape to the port side deck by means of the galley door. And the delineation of the deck levels also collaborates in that separation, enabling you to step aside from the main party and chill out in peace, exactly as you might at home.

Down below, you get a full-beam owner’s cabin with an ensuite bathroom, plus a forward VIP, a port bunk room and a port bathroom with Jack and Jill doors – and while that might sound quite formulaic, the design intelligence down here again looks pretty impressive.

FIM 500 Regina

Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi (FIM) has come a long way in a short space of time on the back of a range of stylish open boats from 34ft to 47ft. During this year’s Cannes festival, the yard will be revealing its largest craft to date, the new FIM 500 Regina.

The most distinctive feature of the new 500 is a swooping carbon-fibre hard top that links up with the windscreen to create a nicely sheltered helm position. This incorporates 3kW of solar panels to help power the ship’s systems and keep charge the batteries charged. Another neat idea is a two-part sunpad on the foredeck with a sliding front section that can be pushed forward to create an aft facing bench at the bow.

Solaris Power 60 Open

Solaris has earned itself a reputation for building some of the prettiest motor boats afloat and the new flagship of the Open range will only serve to enhance that view. Curves in all the right places, an elegant flowing side profile and smart but restrained detailing give it effortless presence on the water. Even with a plain white gelcoat (Solaris typically opts for bolder colours), it oozes style.

It’s a similar story up on deck where folding side terraces increase both the size and the outlook of its already generous cockpit, while a long open hard top (with the colour matched to the hull) provides plenty of shade for its occupants.

antiere del Pardo, an icon of Italian boating for more than 50 years, is set to launch three new boats at Cannes, and for motoryacht aficionados, the most exciting of them will be its new flagship GT75.

While this third and largest GT model is designed to straddle the slick, feel-good day boats of the Walkaround P Class and the more practical four-season Endurance platforms of the fly-equipped E Class, it certainly appears to flex quite decisively in favour of outdoor entertainment.

The aft deck, for instance, features a huge beach club zone, spread across three different levels with a set of fold-down terraces that are set higher than usual and can be adjusted to any angle, enabling you to use them as sofas, sun loungers or lateral dive platforms.

The space between them can be left open for freestanding furniture and tender stowage or it can be fitted with a huge central sun pad above an enclosed tender garage. If you opt for the former, you also get direct access to the beach club from the owner’s cabin through a set of steps leading up to sliding glass doors.

Pershing GTX80

Although the GTX80 made a brief appearance at the Venice show in June, this will be the first chance for most visitors to get up close and personal with it. As with the original GTX116, this is. Pershing’s attempt to create a crossover yacht that offers the style and brand values of its high performance craft, with a bit more space in exchange for a little less pace.

Triple 1,000hp IPS1350s still push it to a useful 34 knots (its sister yacht, the 8X, tops out at 48 knots) but now the focus is on guests having just as much fun at anchor as the skipper has underway. Folding side terraces and a two-tier bathing platform combine to make a vast beach club zone where guests can spread out close to the water, and because the LOA is genuinely under 24m (rather than the LLL), it’s not subject to the strict anchoring limitations affecting many craft in the South of France.

This isn’t just a new boat. As the first entry from WiLder, an offshoot of parent company, Wider Yachts, this is the world debut of an entirely new brand. The core idea behind it is to introduce superyacht-level comfort, refinement and detailing on an easy-to-handle 60-footer that can be fully customised in line with the owner’s requirements. And in light of Wider’s recent work with the WiderCat 92 multihull and the Moonflower 72 superyacht project, the company looks very well placed to make that happen.

Built entirely from aluminium, boat number 1 looks likely to come with a fairly conventional layout, comprising a collection of central seating and sunbathing furniture, orbited by full walkaround side decks.

Those side decks ascend up a trio of steps toward the bow, helping create the volume down below for a private forward owner’s suite to supplement the guest and/or crew cabin amidships. Between these two zones, the central saloon will feature a galley and sofa, plus a starboard day heads.

Designer Stefano Pastrovich did brilliant things with Fiart’s original P48 and he will again be showcasing his talent in Cannes with a new P-Line flagship. Like the P48, the P58 is a multi-purpose cruiser with an elegant multi-tier main deck, a raised cushion-lined bow and a cavernous space below decks that’s tailor-made for customisation.

In terms of layout, the new boat is split into four key sections. At the back end, a pair of asymmetrical sunbeds looks aft toward a stern deck with a drop-down transom. Ahead of that, you take a step up to a large dinette with an alfresco galley, a dining table for eight and a pair of extra sunbeds.

The bow supplements that with a slightly recessed sun deck and the option of a retractable Japanese-style table. And down below, that multi-tier main helps create a huge central lounge with nearly 10ft of headroom, lots of natural light and a big galley with an American-style fridge. As standard you get two large ensuite “owner’s cabins”, one forward and one aft and, in line with Fiart’s quest to deliver a taste of the superyacht lifestyle, there’s a third heads dedicated solely to day guests, as well as a crew cabin with its own ensuite.

Cannes has become a hotbed for powercat premieres and the YOT 41 is likely to be one of most interesting yet. Just a year after the launch of its debut 36-footer, the new YOT 41 promises more comfort, more power and more fun, and its capacity to equip a family for a longer cruise is a key part of that.

It comes with two spacious cabins, each with private ensuite facilities, as well as a deck layout that includes a pair of fold-down aft platforms that expand the beam to more than 19ft. That means you have about 270 sq ft to play with and the modular furniture is designed to make the very most of that. Rated to carry up to 20 people, it features a pair of dinettes at the stern with convertible backrests and tables so you can rig it for sunbathing.

You can also opt for an electric platform between the outboards with a 200kg lift capacity, enabling it to operate as a chill-out zone, a toy-launch station, a swim platform or a simple passerelle. In addition to the squared-off bow lounge, you also get a midships settee and galley, as well as the luxury of four helm seats in the shelter of the wraparound screen.

Once you’ve finished investigating Pardo’s GT75, why not come and take a look at this? Having kick-started its powerboating mission in 2021 with a startlingly elegant 43-footer known as the Shadow, this famous Finnish builder is back with a 76ft walkaround weekender that adopts much the same approach. You get the vertical stem, the flared gunwales, the open transom and the hardtop. But this time, the grander scale enables the inclusion of roof-mounted sun pads and accommodation for up to six.

While the standard belo- decks layout comprises a full-beam owner’s suite and a forward VIP, separated by a downstairs lounge with galley and day heads, the optional three-cabin layout sacrifices the lower seating area for an extra twin.

Cranchi is launching two new boats at the show – this all-new 62 and the 67 Corsa, a sportsfly version of its existing 67 flybridge. It’s the former that is likely to prove more interesting, if only because it’s the first big Cranchi to feature a plumb bow.

But that’s not the only innovation. The 62 also gets a tender garage that converts into a beach club and a hydraulic platform capable of carrying a jet ski. Teak decking that extends through from the cockpit into the galley and dining area blurs the boundaries between inside and out, while a sunroof over the forward end of the saloon and a skipper’s door to the side deck should do the same for the helm position.

More guest areas on the flybridge and a safe and sociable foredeck lounge provide extra functionality. And that continues below deck with three ensuite cabins and an optional crew cabin. We’re not sure if the pink tinge to the renderings is a genuine hull colour or a whim of the artist but we look forward to finding out.

What To Expect At The 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival

cannes yachting festival 2023

Each year, the Cannes Yachting Festival marks the end of summer or the beginning of the fall boat show season, depending on how you want to look at it. This year's event begins on September 12th and is the 46th edition of the show which attracts nearly 700 boats. Divided among two marinas this year - Vieux Port and Port Canto - there will be a new segment for smaller yachts this year ranging from 26 to 50-feet.

Several of the new boat brands represented by SI Yachts will have strong participation in this Cannes Yachting Festival highlighting the innovative and trend-setting progressions of each shipyard. While not all of these models will make it to the U.S. for the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in October, it will be a window into the future offerings from some of the most iconic builders in the world.

While we cannot cover every single boat in the show, we are experts on the below models that will be on display. If you are interested in receiving more information, pricing, and availability of any of the below boats, please send us an email at [email protected] or fill out the form on the page.

ABSOLUTE YACHTS ON DISPLAY AT CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL

absolute 52 fly at cannes yachting festival 2023

The luxury flybridge yachts coming out of Italy in the last few years have created fierce competition between the shipyards there, and across the pond in the U.K. Companies like Sunseeker , Azimut , Ferretti , and others continue to invest millions in their equipment, facilities, and designs. Absolute Yachts doesn't produce the sheer volume that say an Azimut-Benetti shipyard does, but their model ranges offer fresh and innovative solutions that subtly enhance your comfort on board. The result has been a strong book of orders, along with the awards to back them up. At this year's Cannes Yachting Festival, you can see:

Similar to Van Dutch in style (they're also a sister company at the same shipyard) this is a boat where you can make a statement. Sexy, remarkable lines make Pardo models impossible to miss on the water. The hallmarks of each boat, regardless of which model lines, include elegance, spaciousness, high performance, and the finest interiors. If you haven't set foot on a Pardo, find one at your next boat show.

The Prestige Yachts brand has always been about creating a 'luxury home on the water' that gives you the same sense of comfort and relaxation as your own. Models like the 590 FLY were a game changer for the French builder, allowing them to create a great value in an exceptional layout that owners could enjoy with multiple guests for weekend trips or longer. Can you imagine if Prestige built a power catamaran and how they would utilize that space? Now you don't have to with the Prestige M-line which will be on display at Cannes with their newest model.

Pearl Yachts is set to present its latest models at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023. The multi-award winner Pearl 62 and the flagship Pearl 95 will be accompanied by the new Pearl 72, which debuted earlier this year.

Pearl Yachts announces its participation in the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival, to be held from the 12th to the 17th of September. Anticipating the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival, Pearl Yachts Managing Director, Iain Smallridge commented: “Cannes is our first stop following the 25th anniversary celebrations, which was a milestone for our shipyard and for our team. We joined the top players in the nautical world a few seasons ago – that was something gradual. With 25 years behind us, it’s possible to look ahead and see where this incredible trajectory can take us – we look forward to sharing our yachts, as well as our heritage and our vision with old friends and new ones, very soon.”

Come?

Sunseeker 120 yacht rendering

Sunseeker gives financial update at Cannes Yachting Festival 2024

British yacht manufacturer Sunseeker is poised to record revenues this year, the yard announced during a press conference at Cannes Yachting Festival. In 2024, the yard is projected to reach an estimated £342 million in revenue, up six per cent from £326 million generated in 2023.

According to Sunseeker CEO Andrea Frabetti, it will be the highest earnings figure in the company's history, marking a significant shift from the yard's downturn in 2020 caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Our strategy has been to grow the number of products in our range from 11 in 2019 to 21 [currently], covering all different sizes and niches in the market," Frabetti said on lifting the yard out of its recent period of difficulty. He also outlined plans to raise the number of products in Sunseeker's portfolio to 23 in the short-term, with a focus on developing the yard's top-end superyacht offerings following the positive reception of new models such as the Ocean 156.

The yard also reported on its efforts to increase product margins through vertical integration and enhanced production efficiency, which chief financial officer Dean Lawler said has been critical in bolstering Sunseeker's profitability. "We've made substantial changes and investments in boat profitability, and for us to go from margins of 4.3 per cent in 2021 to eight per cent in 2023 has been an incredible performance," he said.

The increased margins have helped Sunseeker increase its EBITDA by more than 60 per cent in 2023, reaching £20 million from £12.1 million in 2022, which it is using to keep up momentum into 2024.

The first seven months of the year have seen Sunseeker generate £175 million in revenue, up from £167 million at this same point in 2023. The result has driven the yard's current order to book to a value of £546 million (€644 million), supported by a network of 75 dealer locations in 66 countries.

"This is a place we haven't been for some time, coming out of [the pandemic years]," said Lawler. "We've got the right products, the right dealers and the right markets to deliver that level of profitability, which has given us a great sense of optimism for the future of Sunseeker."

Looking ahead, Lawler anticipates another £30 million in investment over the next three years, continuing the yard's £40 million investment plan that was announced at the previous year's Cannes Yachting Festival.
