About Mulder Shipyard

Mulder Shipyard is a family-owned shipyard in the Netherlands, employing more than 70 full-time workers over three locations in the Leiden area, and a fourth location in Enkhuizen.

At Mulder, our philosophy is to combine traditional craftsmanship with the latest technology, while always focusing on delivering superb quality, outstanding comfort and exceptional seaworthiness.

Mulder yachts are built from aluminium, are semi-displacement and can achieve top speeds up to 24 knots. Known throughout the industry for our signature designs, we advise, develop and build boats for experienced yacht owners ranging from 50-150 feet (15-45 metres).

the History of this shipyard originated in 1938, when its founder, Dirk Mulder began to build steel boats with a wooden superstructure called Favorite . Since the water came down more than 400 copies, which are now fully in aluminum. br> Mulder Shipyard — a very traditional and conservative Dutch company, still fully owned by the family Mulder . In 2011, the shipyard has invested €7 million in the construction of new slipways, which allowed us to build vessels up to 45 metres and to increase the number of boats to work up to 20 units, including rarity. br> in Addition to the existing semi-custom lines Favorite , Flybridge , Convertible and Wheelhouse the company implements unique projects in cooperation with leading Dutch designers, including Frank Laupman , Guido de Groot and Yaron of Hinton . br> Mulder Shipyard does not seek to increase production volumes, constituting 3-4 corps per year, but it has significant flexibility in terms of castrametati and services. The main task of the shipyard is building a quality yacht at a reasonable, not exorbitant cost, although the customer the Dutch from Zoeterwoude you can implement any requirements.

The exterior of the ThirtySix showcases Mulder's expertise in naval architecture, boasting a Patented Aluminium Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) that enables a cruising speed of 15 knots (with a maximum of 17 knots). The yacht's innovative design includes a transverse 'garage' for a 6.25-meter tender, two jet skis, kayaks, seabobs, and diving gear, providing ample storage for water toys and equipment. Embarkation is made convenient through the side-opening hatch and the generous open stern beach club platform. The slender eight-meter beam hull and plumb bow ensure exceptional seakeeping and comfort, even in rough seas, a hallmark feature of all Mulder-built motor yachts.

Delivered in 2015, this beautiful 28.6-metre Mulder offers large volume, efficient cruising and classic style. With an exterior by Frank Laupman from Omega architects, naval architecture by Vripack Naval Architects and an interior by Vickers Studio inspired by the sea, she has true pedigree and stands out in this market sector. She is a true gentleman’s yacht; solid and elegant, allowing for maximum comfort and security during long voyages. Firefly received great interest from the yachting media when she was launched and was shortlisted for The International Yacht & Aviation Awards for "Yacht Concept up to 40 meters.” Four spacious cabins on board accommodate up to eight guests. The full beam master suite is heightened by natural light from the large windows and contemporary design features. Benefitting from 24 square meters of floor space, the suite includes a study, sitting area, ensuite bathroom with a bath and a walk in closet. The VIP cabin in the forward section of the lower deck boasts a large bed, desk and ensuite bathroom, while the two twin cabins can convert into doubles, making Firefly very flexible for any charterer requirements. On the main deck the impressive saloon, dining room and bar area covers over 40 square meters. Floor to ceiling windows and mirrored window frames provide panoramic views and plenty of natural light. Satin finished American walnut and white oak with intricate details give the yacht a quality feel, and include talking pieces such as bespoke backlit dark blue resin art and illuminated coral visible through the dining table. A stunning large piece of ethically sourced natural blue coral, one of the last available, separates the saloon and dining areas. The spacious aft deck offers guests the option of al fresco dining when in port or at anchor. The swim platform, which incorporates a large sea terrace, lowers into the sea to act as a substantial swimming ladder or can be raised up to offer easy shore access. Up forward, Firefly has a private seating area on the bow, with a removable sun awning. The voluminous sun deck includes generous seating on both sides with large tables and a large feature bar incorporating a BBQ. The space is designed for relaxation and entertaining, providing plenty of shaded area for al fresco seating and dining possibilities. With a long waterline and a slender hull the yacht has outstanding seakeeping capacities in rough seas, enhancing comfort for owner and guests alike. Firefly has a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots thanks to twin Caterpillar engines. With a fuel consumption of only 150 l/h at cruising speeds she is one of the most efficient yachts on the charter market. Water toys on board include two brand new Seabobs, two paddle boards, wakeboard, water skis, towables, fishing equipement and four bicycles. Firefly has a longstanding and professional crew of 4, ensuring the very best service and experience onboard.
