Following refit and refurbishment in 2017/2018 her Alain Raynaud designed interiors are fresher than ever. Her 12 guests can take breakfast al fresco on the upper deck aft with a smoothie from the fully equipped bar then relax in the sun deck jacuzzi and lounge on the sun pads before blazing around on the watertoys.

Freshen up after a gym workout then meet for drinks in the upper deck bar. Share stories from the day in the forward-facing observation lounge before enjoying supper in the formal dining room. After dinner take coffee in the library, home to one of the yacht's two cosy fireplaces.

Having a twin cabin as part of the main deck master suite makes her perfect for guests with young children and two double cabins and two twin cabins on the lower deck seal the deal: VIRGINIAN is the yacht of choice for families and friends.

About Virginian

The 62.23m Virginian is an archetypical classic yacht in terms of her exterior lines. Her interior resembled that of the great ships of the early 1900s - including a library with an open fireplace. Yet Virginian , for all her old-world charm, set new standards too. She was the first Feadship to have four full decks, and was fitted with such thoroughly modern attributes as a hydraulic transom hatch, tenders concealed on the aft deck and a separate lounge for her captain.

Motor yacht VIRGINIAN is a luxury yacht built by the highly respected builders Feadship Yachts in 1990 and was last refitted in 2017. She the very embodiment of world-famous Feadship heritage, classically proportioned, faultlessly built and with meticulous attention to detail and technical prowess. Her naval architecture is by De Voogt Naval Architects. The yacht measures 62,23m (204 feet) in length, accommodating up to 12 guests in 6 luxury staterooms.

VIRGINIAN has a traditional interior, decorated mainly in cream and navy blue, with dark wood panelling and cabinets in the public areas, with lighter wood paneling in the cabins. A key feature is the great variety of public reception rooms, offering guests a wide choice of environments for different activities. There is a good sized main salon with a comfortable lounge area, an entertainment lounge, a traditional library with a lounge area and an office desk, as well as a cosier forward saloon and a separate club-style bar.

This yacht also offers a good range of deck space for outdoor living and dining. There is a seating area aft of the main deck, with a formal dining area aft of the upper deck, and another seating area forward of the bridge. On the upper deck, there is a large bubbling Spa Pool with ample sun pads where guests can enjoy some sun with a cold drink and a glorious view.

This luxury vessel is meticulously maintained by her crew. Upgrades and maintenance are to the highest standards. Work completed 2009 include a full overhaul and certification of sewage treatment plant, Implementation of Long Range Identification & Tracking, refinishing upper pantry woodwork, upgrading main engine governors to fully electronic, interior carpet, fabric and paintwork renewals.

VIRGINIAN Specifications

There is range of indoor amenities, including Custom Audio Design Associates (ADA) with 12 remote locations, Astra Satellite TV System, TC/Video Systems in cabins, Midi hi-fi Systems in cabins, Sony 6ft TV Projector. VIRGINIAN also offers a good range of water sports equipment, including 2 Yamaha 700 Waverider Jetskis, 2 Mistral Windsurfers with Neil Pride Sails, Booms and Masts, 3 Kayaks, Water Skis, Donuts, Wake Boards, Fishing Equipment, and 2 x 50 cc Mopeds. Rendez-vous diving is also available by appointment.

M/Y VIRGINIAN measures 62,23m in length (204 feet), with a beam of 10.20m (33' 5") and a draft of 3.25m (10' 7"). Motor yacht TOMMY has 18 crew and cruises at an average speed of 15 knots.

‘Virginian’ is a 204.23ft /62.25m custom motor yacht built in 1990, last refitted in 2008. This stunning vessel’s luxurious exterior design and engineering are the work of De Voogt.

The yacht’s interior is beautiful and contemporary, and has been designed by David Easton.

Two fireplaces appear on this vessel, and you’ll also find a guest book library and observation lounge on board too. In many ways, the superyacht has the feel of an elegant country home.

Virginian’s stunning interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 rooms, including a master suite, 2 double cabins and 3 twin cabins. She is easily capable of carrying up to 18 crew members onboard to ensure you and your guests get the most out of your luxury sailing experience.

She is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and has a cruising speed of 13 knots, a maximum speed of 14.5 knots and a range of 6,000nm from 136,275litre fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.

A deck Jacuzzi on board provides a great place to relax and take in the view, while a gym is fully equipped with the latest exercise equipment. Work out with a view too!

She also comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

While on board you’ll find a great Wi-Fi connection, so you can check emails or share your experience on social media. Air conditioning keeps conditions comfortable throughout the cabins, even on the hottest days.

Toys include 2 x Windsurfers, 3 x Kayaks, Water-Skis, Wake Board, Kneeboards, Paddleboard, Towable Toys, Fishing Equipment, and Scuba Diving Equipment.

Classic 62m Feadship superyacht Virginian completes extensive refit

The 62.2-metre Feadship motor yacht Virginian has completed an extensive refit at the Atlantic Refit Center in La Rochelle, France.

Virginian arrived at Atlantic Refit Center in November 2023 and concluded works last week. She is now waiting for good weather conditions, after which she will depart for a summer cruising season in the Mediterranean.

Delivered in 1990, Virginian 's classic exterior lines were penned by Studio De Voogt . She was the first Feadship to have four full decks, and her hydraulic transom hatch, concealed tender storage and separate captain's lounge are features that were considered ahead of her time.

The superyacht has had a number of exterior and interior refits over the years, including in 1999 and 2008. Her most recent works involved the complete removal of anti fouler, as a prerequisite to Virginian' s new hull paintjob; the interior renewal of the bridge deck and the crew area, including electrical works and carpentry; the completion of the two main engines' 20-year survey, alongside other technical upgrades.

Accommodation is for 12 guests across six cabins and 18 crew, with onboard highlights that include a library with an open fireplace, a Jacuzzi and an observation lounge.

The refit yard also recently welcomed the 42-metre Vitters sailing yacht Sharlou .

Her 12 guests can take breakfast al fresco on the upper deck aft with a smoothie from the fully equipped bar then relax in the sun deck jacuzzi and lounge on the sun pads before blazing around on the watertoys.

How Royal Romance, a $200-Million Superyacht, Will Benefit Ukraine

Though superyachts are often seen as the frivolous toys of the wildly rich, one named Royal Romance could soon provide more than just a lavish vacation for those who can afford it. According to The Guardian , a $200-million superyacht once owned by Russian oligarch Viktor Medvedchuk will soon be put up for auction, with the sale funds going directly to supporting the people of Ukraine. 

Medvedchuk, who is currently under sanctions, was arrested in Ukraine in April, though he was sent back to Russia in September through a prisoner exchange. The superyacht was seized in March of this year in Croatia as part of Western-imposed restrictions on the assets of oligarchs. According to the British paper, a Croatian court has recently ruled that the boat can be transferred to a special branch of the Ukrainian government, the Ukrainian Asset Recovery and Management Agency (Arma), and sold at auction to maintain its economic value. 

Royal Romance was designed by De Voogt Naval Architects and built in 2015 by Dutch shipbuilders Feadship. Seymour Diamond was responsible for the ship’s interiors. Fit to hold 14 guests and 22 crew members, the 318-foot vessel also includes many notable amenities, including a swimming pool, gym, 3D cinema room, and fully equipped spa. 

Though multiple superyachts have been seized over the past months, this is the first to be auctioned with the funds going directly to Ukrainian people. In September , a yacht owned by Dmitry Pumpyansky was auctioned off, but the sale went to J.P. Morgan, which claimed Pumpyansky owed the investment firm $21.75 million. Though it’s possible more of the seized  yachts will be auctioned to support Ukraine in the future, as The New York Times reported, seizing and auctioning off assets is rarely a straightforward process. In the United States the Justice Department is working to expedite the process, but it can still take years.

Valeria Senkina founded luxury interior designer practice Dseesion Interiors  in 2003 and they have over 18 years expertise in creating exquisite homes, creating and conducting more than a hundred projects in Russia, and in Europe.   Last year in 2020, they opened an office in London, and they are a young and innovative team, focused on key principles including: Beauty of Space, Ecology, Smart Home & Security, Art & Craftsmanship, each of which inform their designs.

Dseesion take a completely tailor-made approach to each undertaking.  From conception to completion, every development is authentic, unique and is designed specifically for the client.  Dseesion’s ethos is to not simply to create beautiful and bespoke living spaces, but to also empower and enhance their client’s inner world by surrounding them with an environment which expresses their unique values, feelings, emotions and lifestyle.

Their pièce de résistance is this recent project, the apartment at  Knightsbridge Private Park, Moscow .   This high-end 500 sq.m. apartment is situated in Khamovniki, in one of the most beautiful and prestigious residential complexes in Moscow.

The show-stopping interior was filled with a large number of non-standard solutions and individual, one of a kind pieces designed especially for this space by the world’s best glassblowers, metalworkers, marble specialists, carpenters and glass workshops.   These bespoke elements included items such as interior doors, furniture, door and furniture handles, art panels made of plaster, lamps and carpets.  Unique decorative wall coverings were specially created, as well as bas-reliefs made of gypsum and panels made of natural yacht leather.

Only natural and ecological materials such as wood, marble, metal, glass, natural textiles were used in finishing and filling.   The furniture and lighting were chosen from some of the finest European brands in such as Veronese, Lasvit, Officina Luce, Promemoria, Baxter, Pieter Adam, Bert Frank, Edition Bouganville, Tai Ping and others. In addition, Dseesion sourced works by Russian artists, photographers, ceramists and sculptors as decor.  The apartment was also equipped with modern high-tech automation tools.

The result is an elegant, contemporary home that reflects both the excellent taste and the highest quality requirements of its owners, as well as being completely compatible with a meaningful daily life for a family with young children.
