Our Yacht Charter experience leaves out of the Destin Harbor.  The waters of Destin are some of the most beautiful waters in the world.   Join us as we explore the Destin landscape in the Gulf of Mexico, Cruise through the Destin Harbor, or stop for a swim at the famous Crab Island. 

While on our Yacht Charter we offer you complimentary sodas and water, a specially prepared charcuterie board and our captains famous Chicken wraps.  We also offer custom catered packages specifically to your parties needs.

  In addition, our trip includes a stop at Crab Island where you can float on our 18 X 6 floating pad, or enjoy time on our Seadoo personal watercraft.    The Seadoo is captained or for an additional $300 guest can rent it for the day (must be 21 years of age or older).

Save 2-3 Hours As Compared to Driving To Destin

Driving to Destin or Crab Island from the 30a area takes about 1-1.5 hours depending on the season.   Plus it takes about 20 minutes to park, 20 minutes to load the boat, plus 25 minutes to get to Crab Island.  With 30a Pontoon you can be at the dock in 10-20 minutes and be at Crab Island in about 45 minutes.  Saving you 2-3 hours a day.

Test your singing skills, or your lack of singing skills with a 100 watt Karaoke Machine.  Super fun way to enjoy the day.  

80-100 Q uar t Coolers

Keep your refrigerated items cool, or your valuables dry with a clean cooler.  We recommend one for food and one for items you don't want to get wet. 

Please Note:  Our prices include a full tank of gas.   However, boat prices were set on January 2022 w when gas prices were $2.99 for unleaded.  We have added a temporary $35.00 fuel surcharge until gas prices drop back down to a more reasonable price.   We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and pray they drop back down soon.  

VALET / VAN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES -  Staying in Santa Rosa Beach and need a ride to the pontoon rental boat ramp?  We can pick you up at your rental home in Santa Rosa Beach area and bring you back.   Most transportation companies charge $12-16 a head for transportation for a one way trip (average of $200 one way or $400 round trip)    Area includes Sandestin to Inlet Beach.  Must call to confirm dates and availability.   Prices subject to change.

A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW.

CAPTAIN FEES - 30a Pontoon Rental offers guests the opportunity to get a captain.   There are numerous benefits. 

1.  First, if the boat gets damaged by the operator, the client pays for those damages.  However, if it's a captained boat, and the captain causes the damage, the client isn't responsible.   

2. TOURS- Captains are a good way to relax and get a tour of the area.  You can relax and have fun, and not have to worry about finding your way around. 

FEES FOR DRIVERS (Pontoons)

We charge $20.00 an hour reservation deposit for Captains PLUS guests pay $50.00 an hour directly to the captain the day of the event. 

Tips not included. 

SUGGESTED GRATUITIY FOR CAPTAINS (Pontoon Rentals)

30a Pontoon Rental offers Pontoon Rentals, Yachts, and Fishing Charters.

Suggested Gratuity is

10-15% of booking fee for Captains- 

Average- $125-$175.00 

Deckhands are those individuals that help you at the dock.  Deckhands load your boat, clean your boat after, etc. 

5-10% of booking fee for Deckhands.

Average $40-$60.00

RESERVATION NOTE - Contracts are legally binding.  When you reserve your pontoon rental boat, it locks out any other potential pontoon rentals.   If you have reserved a pontoon rental and want to get out of your pontoon boat rental, you must cancel by email 14 days before your scheduled rental Sunday through Thursday or 4 weeks Friday and Saturday or you will lose your full amount.   

PLEASE NOTE:  We recommend pontoon renters arrive 15 minutes before scheduled departure for mandatory instruction and safety training (can take up to 30 mins).

WEATHER POLICY - WEATHER - 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR strives to give our clients the best experience possible on the water. However, the panhandle is notorious for unexpected weather and things can change quickly and dramatically.  In many cases weather can change in 30-60 minutes.  30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR does our absolute best to inform you of developing weather patterns. However, it's challenging because the weather channels are not always accurate. The only time we cancel and give full refunds is if The United States Coast Guard issues a SMALL CRAFT advisory for the BAY.  If there is significant inclement weather in your area (storms with high winds, lightning etc.) that develop during your event and we call you back to the dock canceling or cutting short your outing, you will be provided a partial credit. 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR does not cancel or offer refunds for rain showers that develop while on the water. If you choose to go out and it rains, you have accepted that risk.   Also, due to dramatic changes in weather, we do not cancel 24 hours in advance for weather.   We also do not cancel for cold weather.   30a Pontoon Rental may move you to an earlier or later time depending on the forecast.  We do not refund or credit your account for the inconvenience. 

REGULAR CANCELATION POLICY - 30a Pontoon Rental and 30a Yacht Charter offer a 14  day cancellation policy Sunday through Thursday.  Due to the overwhelming number of rentals on Friday and Saturday all pontoon rentals Friday and Saturday are 3 week cancellations.     Yacht Charters require 4 week cancellations.    We do not cancel for accidents, illness or death.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  We recommend renters insurance. 

RENTERS INSURANCE - There are times when the weather forecast is not accurate and winds change or rains increase unexpectedly.   In these circumstances, 30 Pontoon Rental does not refund any money.  This becomes the risk of the customer.   We encourage our renters to get RENTAL INSURANCE for these situations. 

Our pontoon rental boats are not located on a commercial dock.  We bring them to a public ramp every day located just minutes from Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Grayton Beach, Inlet Beach, etc. .    You have to schedule a pickup.     Once you have a reservation, one of our deck hands will contact you and then meet you at the dock on the day and time of your scheduled reservation. Why drive a car in traffic to Destin when you can drive your boat there? A ride to Destin is 45 minutes to 1 hour, often in very slow traffic. A boat ride is only 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your boat, weather conditions, and current.   Santa Rosa Beach Pontoon Rental runs out of a public dock called Cessna landing. Cessna Landing is located about 1.6 miles north of Hwy 98 on 393 near Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Grayton Beach, Alys Beach, Miramar Beach, etc..  Take Hwy 98 to 393.   Turn north on 393.  Cessna landing is about 1/2 mile north of the first stop sign.    If you have gone over the bridge, you've gone too far.

Why a 150 hp or 200 hp TRITOON Pontoon Rental Boat?- A typical fishing boat, or ski boat is fun, but not enough space for a large party.  Pontoon rental boats allow up to 12 guest to enjoy a day together on the bay.  Most pontoon rental boats are 40-60 hp.  Our pontoon rental boats are 150 hp tritoons.  A tritoon is more buoyant than a pontoon.  A more buoyant pontoon is smoother and faster.  Plus, the 150 hp as compared to 40-60 hp allows you to go 2-3 times faster than a typical pontoon rental boat.  For example;    A drive on a 115 hp pontoon will take you 30 minutes longer to get to Crab Island than a 150 hp tritoon.  Plus, it's a much safer and smoother ride.  How Big is the Bay?

The bay in Santa Rosa Beach extends from the 331 Bridge to Crab Island in Destin.  While you are on our pontoon rental boats you can visit many of the beautiful bayous with exquisite homes in Santa Rosa Beach, Miramar Beach, Sandestin, and Destin.   Is there anywhere to eat on the bay?

While on our pontoon rental boats enjoy incredible restaurants right on the water including the famous Dewey Destin’s, and everyone’s favorite, LULU’s restaurant.  Lulu’s Restaurant is owned by Jimmy Buffett’s sister.  Lulu’s offers indoor and outdoor dining, a fun beach with activities for kids, and an outdoor bar right on the water.  All you have to do is pull your pontoon rental boat up, anchor securely and walk up to the beach.  Can we shop somewhere on the bay?

Want to do some shopping while on our pontoon rental boats?  There are two places to shop and dine while on our pontoon rentals.  Just minutes from our pontoon rental dock is the Sandestin community and the popular Baytown Warf.  Baytown Warf has tons of great shopping, a zip line, a climbing wall, great restaurants, etc.   That’s not all....  While out on our pontoon rental boats you can visit the famous Destin Harbor.  Destin Harbor is packed with great restaurants, shopping, a climbing wall, art gallaries, etc.   The Destin Harbor is only ¼ mile boat ride from Crab Island.   Restaurants include AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar,  Harry T’s, Dewey Destin’s, Marina Café, Boathouse Oyster Bar, Gilligan’s, and many others.    

What is Crab Island?  Most of our pontoon rental guest enjoy the fabulous and famous Crab Island.  Crab Island is a sand bar about 2-3 feet deep with crystal clear blue water.   Pontoon Rental boats drop anchor at Crab Island and play for the day.   While at Crab Island you can slide down our Double Decker Pontoon Rental boat with slide, float around on our 18 X 6 floating pad, or paddle around on our 11 foot yolo boards.  Does the boat come equipped with anything?

Our luxury pontoon rental boats come equipped with a full tank of gas.  In addition, we have a variety of super fun add on’s that you can include with your pontoon rental experience.   Those pontoon rental add on’s include…  

18 X 6 FLOATING PAD- A favorite of our pontoon rental guests is our 18 X 6 floating pad.  These pads can hold up to 10 people comfortably.    

PADDLE BOARDS (YOLO BOARDS)- Our 11 foot paddle boards are a great way to enjoy Crab Island.  You can paddle around on top of the water and see fish and wildlife underneath.    

TUBES or HOT DOGS- Want to enjoy some fun?  Why not go tubing on our two person tubes or hot dogs.   

COOLERS- Many of our pontoon rental guests don’t have a cooler.  We offer large coolers to keep your goods cold, or in some cases, keep your supplies dry. 

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO RENT A PONTOON BOAT?

The U.S. Coastguard Requires the driver to be born on or before January of 1988.   However, The US Coastguard allows individuals younger to rent/drive a boat if they have a boating certificate.   Even with a boating certificate we require a minimum of 30 years.  You can be under 30 only if you hire a captain or designated master.   

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO RENT A CAR?

30a Rental Company requires all guests to be a minimum of 30 years old and with a valid US drivers license to rent a car.  Our insurance is very strict.   If caught allowing someone younger to drive, we charge a $1000 fine. 

WHAT IS THE TYPICAL GRATUITY FOR BOATS?

Captain- 15% of cost of trip

Deckhands- 7-10% of cost of trip

Shuttle- 10-20% of cost shuttle

Please Note:  All captained boats also have a deckhand.  That deckhand prepares the boat, hauls the boat, cleans the boat at the end, etc.   Please make sure to separate the captain tip from the deckhand.

CAPTAIN SERVICES- Don’t want to drive our pontoon rental boats.  We can provide you with a driver for an extra fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY

30a Rental Company offers a 3 week cancellation policy Sunday through Thursday and 4 week Friday and Saturday..   We do not make any exceptions.  If you have a death or illness in the family or with a friend, we encourage renters to get travel insurance.  Yacht Charters require 4 week cancellations. 

ACCIDENT OR INJURY- If you are involved in an accident, injury or death before your trip, we do NOT cancel if you are inside the cancellation window. NO EXCEPTIONS.  We recommend rental insurance.

WIND - Wind can be a major factor with your pontoon rental.  Wind can change throughout the day.  If there is high wind in the morning we may postpone your trip.  However, we will not offer a refund if we can move the trip to a later time. 

SICKNESS OR DEATH- We do not cancel o r refund  for sickness, death or injury.  This includes COVID-   We encourage travel insurance.  

RESCHEDULING- Our boats often book up weeks in advance.   There is usually not an opportunity to reschedule to another date.   Also, if you want to reschedule, and we are booked up that day, we lose the opportunity to rent the boat to someone else.   You can reschedule boats 72 hours or more in advance.   If we reschedule after, this we risk losing that spot for other clients.   The only time we reschedule after 72 hours is if weather is an issue.

GAS PRICES-

Our pontoon rental prices were set on January of 2022.   This includes a full tank of gas for free.  However, due to the current political climate and what's happening in Ukraine, it's expected gas prices to increase.   If gas prices go up, we will charge a gas surcharge at the end of the day based on the difference in gas prices that day as compared to the prices of gas on January of 2022.

Our pontoon rental prices were set on January of 2022.   This includes a full tank of gas for free.  However, due to the current political climate and what's happening in Ukraine, it's expected gas prices to increase.   If gas prices go up, we will charge a gas surcharge at the end of the day based on the difference in gas prices that day as compared to the prices of gas on January of 2022.

3 0a PONTOON RENTAL Welcome to 30a Pontoon Rental in Santa Rosa Beach.   Instead of driving all the way to Destin or Crab Island, 30a Pontoon rental is located just minutes from Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Inlet Beach, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, Sandestin, Miramar Beach, Seacrest, Seagrove, etc.    

Renting a pontoon rental boat while on vacation is a favorite for 30a vacationers.   The Choctowhatchee bay is a fabulous waterway filled with all types of restaurants, beautiful bayou’s, the Famous Crab Island, and so much more.   A pontoon rental boat is the ultimate way to explore these beautiful and fun venues.  

Why a 150 hp Pontoon Rental Boat?- A typical fishing boat, or ski boat is fun, but not enough space for a large party.  Pontoon rental boats allow up to 12 guest to enjoy a day together on the bay.  Most pontoon rental boats are 40-60 hp.  Our pontoon rental boats are 150 hp tritoons.  A tritoon is more buoyant than a pontoon and the extra horsepower will get you where you need to go on the bay 2-3 times faster than the typical pontoon rental.   A more buoyant pontoon rental boat also makes for a smoother and faster trip. How Big is the Bay?

The bay in Santa Rosa Beach extends from the 331 Bridge to Crab Island in Destin.  While you are on our pontoon rental boats you can visit many of the beautiful bayous with exquisite homes in Santa Rosa Beach, Miramar Beach, Sandestin, and Destin.   What is there to do?

While on our pontoon rental boats enjoy incredible restaurants right on the water including the famous Dewey Destin’s, and everyone’s favorite, LULU’s restaurant.  Lulu’s Restaurant is owned by Jimmy Buffett’s sister.  Lulu’s offers indoor and outdoor dining, a fun beach with activities for kids, and an outdoor bar right on the water.  All you have to do is pull your pontoon rental boat up, anchor securely and walk up to the beach.  Can we shop somewhere on the bay?

Want to do some shopping while on our pontoon rental boats?  There are two places to shop and dine while on our pontoon rentals.  Just minutes from our pontoon rental dock is the Sandestin community and the popular Baytown Warf.  Baytown Warf has tons of great shopping, a zip line, a climbing wall, great restaurants, etc.   That’s not all.  While out on our pontoon rental boats you can visit the famous Destin Harbor.  Destin Harbor is packed with great restaurants, shopping, a climbing wall, art gallaries, etc.   The Destin Harbor is only ¼ mile boat ride from Crab Island.   Restaurants include AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar,  Harry T’s, Dewey Destin’s, Marina Café, Boathouse Oyster Bar, Gilligan’s, etc.    

What is Crab Island?  Most of our pontoon rental guest enjoy the fabulous and famous Crab Island.  Crab Island is a sand bar about 2-3 feet deep with crystal clear blue water.   Pontoon Rental boats drop anchor at Crab Island and play for the day.   While at Crab Island you can slide down our Double Decker Pontoon Rental boat with slide, float around on our 18 X 6 floating pad, or paddle around on our 11 foot yolo boards.  Does the boat come equipped with anything?

Our luxury pontoon rental boats come equipped with a full tank of gas.  In addition, we have a variety of super fun add on’s that you can include with your pontoon rental experience.   Those pontoon rental add on’s include…  

18 X 6 FLOATING PAD- A favorite of our pontoon rental guests is our 18 X 6 floating pad.  These pads can hold up to 10 people comfortably.    

PADDLE BOARDS (YOLO BOARDS)- Our 11 foot paddle boards are a great way to enjoy Crab Island.  You can paddle around on top of the water and see fish and wildlife underneath.    

TUBES or HOT DOGS- Want to enjoy some fun?  Why not go tubing on our two person tubes or hot dogs.   

COOLERS- Many of our pontoon rental guests don’t have a cooler.  We offer large coolers to keep your goods cold, or in some cases, keep your supplies dry. 

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO RENT A PONTOON BOAT?

The U.S. Coastguard Requires the driver to be born on or before January of 1988.   However, The US Coastguard allows individuals younger to rent/drive a boat if they have a boating certificate.   Even with a boating certificate we require a minimum of 30 years.  The only exceptions are those who hire a captain or designated master.

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO RENT A CAR?

30a Rental Company requires all guests to be a minimum of 30 years old and with a valid US drivers license to rent a car.   If caught allowing someone younger to drive, we charge a $1000 fine.  

CAPTAIN SERVICES- Don’t want to drive our pontoon rental boats.  We can provide you with a driver for an extra fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY

30a Rental Company offers a 72 hour cancellation policy.   We do not make any exceptions.  If you have a death or illness in the family or with a friend, we encourage renters to get travel insurance.  

WEATHER POLICY

WEATHER - 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR strives to give our clients the best experience possible on the water. However, the panhandle is notorious for unexpected weather and things can change quickly and dramatically. 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR does our absolute best to inform you of developing weather patterns. However, it's challenging because the weather channels are not always accurate. If, at the beginning of the day, we see most of your day forecasted to be inclement weather (storms with high winds, lightning, etc) we may cancel your reservation. In the event, 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR do cancel, the customer may then choose between a refund or a credit. If there is significant inclement weather in your area (storms with high winds, lightning etc.) that develop during your event and we call you back to the dock canceling or cutting short your outing, you will be provided a partial credit. 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR does not cancel or offer refunds for rain showers that develop while on the water. If you choose to go out and it rains, you have accepted that risk.

RENTERS INSURANCE - There are times when the weather forecast is not accurate and winds change or rains increase unexpectedly.   In these circumstances, 30 Pontoon Rental does not refund any money.  This becomes the risk of the customer.   We encourage our renters to get RENTAL INSURANCE for these situations. 

BACHELORETTE PARTY QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. CAN WE HAVE MORE THAN 12 PEOPLE ON A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?  

U.S. Coastguard only allows 12 people max on a boat.  This includes captain.    About 1/3rd of our bachelorette parties rent two boats. 

2. CAN WE BRING FOOD AND ALCOHOL FOR OUR BACHELORETTE PARTY?

Yes, you can bring food and alcohol on the boat.  You can bring your own coolers or we offer80-100 quart cooler rentals.  

3. HOW BIG IS THE VAN TRANSPORTATION

The van allows for 13 guests and some gear.   

4. IS THERE ANY PLACE TO GO EAT WHILE ON THE PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?

There are a couple places guests go eat.  Lulu's in Destin is owned by Jimmy Buffet's sister LuLu.  It's a great atmosphere with good food.  You can pull the boat up and drop anchor out in the water.  Lulu's has a bar on the beach outside as well.

DEWEY DESTIN'S at Crab Island- Just 1/2 mile east of Crab Island on the water is the famous Dewey Destin's.  Fabulous food an incredible DIVE type atmosphere.   Must have captain or very experienced driver to pull up at their dock.

5. DO WE PAY FOR OUR PONTOON RENTAL EXPERIENCE WHEN WE BOOK OR WHEN WE COME? 

30a Rental Company charges the full amount up front.  This includes the boat(s), add on's, shuttle, etc.  HOWEVER, you pay the Captain the day of the event.  Most captain's charge before the rental. 

6. WHAT IS CUSTOMARY TIPS FOR OUR PONTOON RENTAL EXPEREINCE?

Captain- $75.00-$125

Deckhands- $35-$55

Shuttle- $20-$35

7. CAN WE DO LESS THAN a 6 HOUR PONTOON RENTAL EXPERIENCE?

Our pontoon rental boats are driven from storage and put in the water daily.  They get heavy deep cleanings, motors get flushed, etc.   If we rent for 4 hours we lose 6 hour rentals.  We can do 4 hours, but it's same price.  Plus, our captains require a minimum of 6 hours to do a day.  

8. HOW SOON SHOULD WE BOOK OUR PONTOON RENTAL TRIP?

As soon as possible.  We book bachelorette parties up at least 2 months in advance.   However, there are times when we have available slots less than 2 months in advance.   To make sure you have a spot on our pontoon rental boats, we recommend booking your pontoon rental 3 months out.  

PLEASE NOTE: By law we have to send you a list of Captains and Designated Masters.  As soon as you book your boat we send you a list of Captains and Designated Masters.  Make sure to call them ASAP to get them booked.  Once you have them booked immediately notify us by email at [email protected] .

About 30A Water Sports

Are you located in the 30A area, want to enjoy a relaxing day enjoying Choctawhatchee Bay or Crab Island but don’t want to spend hours in a car to get to and from Destin? Then you have come to the right spot. We board at Cessna Landing located on Hog Town Bayou in Santa Rosa Beach which is central to the 30A area. From Inlet Beach to Miramar Beach, you can normally be to our location in 20 minutes or less. We offer both Pontoon boats and Sea Doo Personal Watercrafts (jet skis) for your enjoyment. Our pontoon boats are new, fast and luxurious. Our Sea Doo jet skis are GTX Pros are 2023 models, new in February.  

What’s your passion? We offer it all. Do you to visit Crab Island? No problem. Is dolphin watching your thing? Hog Town Bayou where you board the boat will not disappoint. Up for a little sightseeing or exploring? Choctawhatchee Bay abounds with many picturesque bayous and river mouths. Want to hop social spots? Sun Tracker 22 XP3 :  We offer both 2022 and  2023 Sun Tracker XP3 tri-toons. They 24’ 2” long and are US Coast Guard approved for 11 persons.  They are equipped with a 3 rd pontoon which provides more floatation. The additional floatation means the boats can carry more passengers and still maintain high speeds. The 200hp Mercury motor gives it the power to get where you need in a hurry or the umph needed for towed water sports such as tubing.   

 The Sun Trackers are outfitted with Bluetooth stereo connectivity for you listening enjoyment. The vessels are also equipped with the latest Garmin GPS navigation systems so there is no guesswork in where you are or how to get to your destination. Plush seating around the boats means you can enjoy the sun or hide from it under the Bimini top. 

Bennington 2574 GL: Our largest pontoon measuring 27’ 9”, is US Coast Guard approved for 12 persons. The Yamaha 150hp motor provides all the power needed to get you there and back in short order. The vessel also has more than enough power to enjoy towed water sports.

WEATHER - 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR strives to give our clients the best experience possible on the wa ter. However, the panhandle is notorious for unexpected weather and things can change quickly and drama t ically. 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR does our absolute best to inform you of developing weath er patterns. However, it's challenging because the weather channels are not always accurate. If, at the beginning of the day, we see most of your day forecasted to be inclement weather (storms with high winds, lightning, etc) we may cancel your reservation. In the event, 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR do cancel, the customer may then choose between a refund or a credit. If there is significant inclement weather in your area (storms with high winds, lightning etc.) that develop during your event and we call you back to the dock canceling or cutting short your outing, you will be provided a pa rtial credit. 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR does not cancel or offer refunds for rain showers that develop while on the water. If you choose to go out and it rains, you have accepted that risk.  30a Pontoon Rental and 30a Yacht Charter does not cancel for COLD WEATHER.  

RENTERS INSURANCE - There are times w hen the weather forecast is not accurate and winds change or rains incr ease unexpectedly.   In these circumstances, 30 Pontoon Rental does not refund any money.  This becomes the risk of the customer.   We encourage our renters to get RENTAL INSURANCE for these situations. 

WHY RENT A PONTOON RENTAL

A pontoon rental boat is a crowd favorite for multiple reasons.  Most ski boats, fishing boats, sailboats, etc. have limited seating, sit high off the water, or the size of the rental boat can cause a rough ride.  A pontoon rental boat allows guests to have more room to enjoy the water.   They are typically safer for inexperienced boaters and have plenty of shade for guest needing protection from the sun.

ARE 30A PONTOON RENTAL BOATS THE SMOOTHEST, FASTEST, and LARGEST PONTOON RENTAL BOATS ON MARKET?

A typical pontoon rental boat in the state of Florida for a private party is a 23 foot, 50 hp, pontoon. Ours are 28 foot, 150 and 200 hp tritoons. Our boats are typically 2-3 times faster than typical pontoon rental boats. The third toon makes our boats more buoyant giving you a safer and smoother ride. The additional 5 feet gives our guests plenty room to have up to 12 people. Our single decker pontoon rental boats are rated for 18 people. Our double decker pontoon rental boats are rated for 14. However, due to United States Coast Guard rules, the maximum capacity on a pontoon rental is 12 passengers.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY ON A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?

Pontoon rental boats have a maximum capacity in number and weight. Our single decker pontoon rental boats are rated for 18 people. Our double decker pontoon rental boats are rated for 14. However, due to United States Coast Guard rules, the maximum capacity on a pontoon rental is 12 passengers. The only exception is if you hire a captain. The Captain on your pontoon rental can be your 13th person. PLEASE NOTE: Children are included in this count. The US Coast Guard counts heads. It doesn’t matter if they are 5 lbs. or 105 lbs., the coast guard is concerned with the number of people on your pontoon rental boat.

Have more than 12 people? Don’t worry. About 1/3 of our rentals are more than 12 passengers. We can easily accommodate more than 12 with a second boat. We recommend one single passenger boat and one double decker with slide. It gives our pontoon rental customers a variety of fun boating experiences. 

WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?

30A Location - 30a Pontoon Rental is located in the beautiful Florida panhandle between Destin and Panama City Beach in the 30a community. 30a Pontoon Rental is just minutes from Rosemary Beach , Seaside, Grayton Beach , Alys Beach, Seagrove, Seacrest , Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach , Inlet Beach , Sandestin, etc. Why drive all the way to Destin or Crab Island for a pontoon rental boat when you can pick up a boat in the 30a area and save over 1 hour each way.

Destin Location - Although our main pontoon rental boats are in the 30a area near Rosemary, Seaside, Grayton Beach, etc. area 30a Pontoon Rental has one pontoon rental boat in the Destin Harbor. However, this boat is only a 4-hour rental and is captained.

DO YOU RECOMMEND A CAPTAIN?

30a Pontoon Rental highly recommends captains. We don’t have many accidents every year with our guests, but when we do 100% of them are non-captained boats. Boat parts are expensive. We’ve had clients damage our boats and other boats simultaneously with damages of up to $20,000. There are times when these damages are a result of a gust of wind or another boat that doesn’t operate appropriately.

It’s always important to have a skilled driver on your pontoon rental boat to insure you don’t have to pay for costly repairs. A $70.00 an hour captain can save you $1000’s. Plus, a captain can give you a great tour of the local attractions. Our pontoon rental guests always tell us they were thankful they hired a driver. Our guests also always tell us hiring a pontoon rental captain gave them peace of mind and allowed them to enjoy their pontoon rental experience more. 

WHAT IS THERE TO DO ON THE WATER?

Great Question. There at tons of really fun things to do while out on the water. 

CRAB ISLAND - Probably 95% of our guest’s head to Crab Island to enjoy the beautiful waters and fun activities. Crab Island is a shallow body of crystal-clear blue water (about 2-4 feet deep) where guests pull up a boat, drop anchor and play. 30a Pontoon Rental offers a variety of fun things to do while at Crab Island. Those are listed below.

HOLIDAY ISLE - Holiday Isle is a fabulous community in the Destin Harbor where you can see luxury homes, beautiful boats, and fabulous landscapes. 30a Pontoon Rental guests can cruise the canals between the homes to get a back view of these beautiful properties.

THE DESTIN HARBOR - The Destin Harbor is an incredible atmosphere filled with great restaurants, shopping, climbing walls, gorgeous boats, etc. It’s always fun to take a pontoon rental through a cruise in the Destin Harbor. Plus, it’s just around the corner from Crab Island.

DEWEY DESTIN’S - Dewey Destin’s is a hot spot for many travelers. They have two locations on the water. The first is what we will call their DIVE. The atmosphere is rustic, and the food is fabulous. Dewey Destin’s also has a more formal atmosphere in the Destin Harbor. We encourage guests to bring a nicer change of clothes. We ask that only captained boats use Dewey Destin’s due to the complex nature of their dock. 

LULU’S - Lulu’s is owned by Jimmy Buffett’s sister. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining. Lulu’s has a really cool store with fun tourist style t-shirts, hats, etc. In addition, Lulu’s offers a great outdoor beach atmosphere with a bar. The Beach has a variety of fun activities for kids. Lulu’s is halfway between Destin and the 30a area located by the mid-bay bridge. We ask that our pontoon rental guests park at least 50-75 yards away from the seawall and at least 100 feet from another boat and anchor securely. 

BAYOU’S - While you are out on our luxury pontoon rentals enjoy the beautiful homes from the 30a area to Destin in the Bayou’s. These are some of the most beautiful homes on the panhandle. Plus, you get to enjoy another side of Santa Rosa Beach, Sandestin, Miramar Beach and Destin.

30a Pontoon Rental offers a ton of fun add on’s for your pontoon rental experience in the 30a, Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Grayton Beach, and Destin area.

They are the following:

FLOATING PADS - 30a Pontoon Rental offers our guests the super fun 18 X 6 floating pads. Our floating pads allow our guests the ability to relax on the water while soaking in the sun. They are large enough to accommodate all 12 guests. Plus, the kids love playing king of the mountain on our floating pads. 

YOLO BOARDS - A yolo board is an 11-foot paddle board where you can test your balancing skills. Guests can paddle over the clear blue water while also enjoying the views of the wildlife below.

TUBES - 30a Pontoon Rental offers the super fun two person tubes. There are many areas in the bay where you can test your tubing skills. Guests can only rent two person tubes in our single decker pontoon rentals. Our double-decker pontoon rentals are not designed to pull equipment.

KARAOKE MACHINES - Test your American Idol skills as you sing your heart out with our 100-Watt Karaoke Machine. You’ll either draw a crowd or scare them away. Either way, it’s a blast. Even if you don’t use the microphone, our Karaoke machines are Bluetooth where you can play your own music. What a fun way to have fun on your 30a Pontoon Rental boat. 

COOLERS - 30a Pontoon Rental offers 80-quart and 100-quart coolers. Please note: Coolers aren’t just for food and beverages. It’s a great idea to put anything you want to stay dry in a cooler. You may want to rent two.

GO PRO - Capture your above water and under water memories with a go pro type underwater camera. Make sure to bring back memories of your 30a Pontoon Rental experience. 

WHAT IS A TRITOON RENTAL COMPARED TO A PONTOON RENTAL?

A typical pontoon rental boat is 23 feet and has two tubes underneath. These toons keep the pontoon rental boat elevated above the water about 12-16 inches. Our pontoon rental boats are actually tritoons (3rd toon) . Each of our pontoon rental boats have an additional tube or toon underneath. This makes the boat more buoyant, giving the boat a smoother ride. Also, if ever a client hit a sharp object with a pontoon, that toon will take on water. It’s always safer to have three toons underneath the boat instead of 2. Another great feature of a third toon is speed. Due to the fact that a trioon sits higher in the water, it has less surface area affected by the water. Our boats are 2-3 times faster than the typical pontoon rental boat. 

CAN WE HAVE ALCOHOL ON THE BOAT?

Yes, guests are allowed to bring alcohol, but the Coast Guard strictly prohibits drivers from being under the influence of alcohol. Most accidents on the water happen as a result of alcohol. It dramatically impairs guest ability to operate a boat. Also, the fees for a ticket on the water are really high. If all members of your pontoon rental part want to drink on our pontoon rental boats, we strongly suggest a captain.

MINIMUM AGE TO RENT A PONTOON BOAT IN DESTIN / 30A?

The United States Coast Guard requires guests to be born on or before January of 1988. However, anyone over 30 years of age can take a Boaters Certificate course and be allowed to drive our pontoon rentals. Are you under 30 and still want to rent a pontoon rental boat? We allow guests 25 years of age or older to rent a pontoon rental boat as long as they hire a captain or designated master to operate our pontoon rental boats. We do not make exceptions.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING ON OUR PONTOON RENTAL?

30a Pontoon Rental boats are equipped with a radio, shade, etc. Our Double Decker pontoon rentals are equipped with a super fun water slide. 30a Pontoon Rental strongly recommends suntan lotion, and long sleeve moisture wicking shirts and water shoes. The sun can be very harsh, and a long sleeve moisture wicked shirt can help with the direct sunlight. Food on the water can be expensive. As a result, we recommend packing your own food and drinks. If you plan to drink alcohol, we strongly recommend rotating bottled waters between each drink. It's very easy to get dehydrated and sick while out on the water. STAY HYDRATED!

HOW YOUNG IS TOO YOUNG TO BE ON A PONTOON BOAT?

30a Pontoon Rental welcomes all ages on our pontoon rental boats. We’ve had newborns and people over 80 years old. However, there are a few things to consider. The boat ride from the 30a area near Rosemary Beach , Seaside, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, etc. to Destin is about a 45-minute boat ride on average. Although it’s a fabulous ride, there are times when the water can be a little rough. Sometimes a 45-minute ride can be a challenge for babies under 4-5 months old. The sun is also an important factor in determining the age of a child on a pontoon rental boat. All of our boats have shade options. However, the sun still comes in the side of the boat.

DESTIN PONTOON RENTAL - We offer a second pontoon rental location in the Destin Harbor. The trip is only 4 hours as compared to 6, but it still gives our pontoon rental guests an opportunity to enjoy the water. Plus, the water isn’t as likely to be rough. Plus, if you ever have a fussy kid, you are closer to the dock. Keep in mind, most small kids find a boat ride very peaceful and will often fall asleep better than at home.

DO YOU OFFER YACHT CHARTERS?

Another great option for family members is our Yacht Charters. With a Yacht Charter, all guests can comfortably relax both indoors and outdoors. There are even beds where little ones can take a nap if necessary. 30a Pontoon Rental offers a variety of different style yachts. Each Yacht Charter can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests plus a crew. Our Yacht Charters are located in the Destin Harbor. Visit 30A Yacht Charters

DO YOU OFFER FISHING CHARTERS

Our deep-sea fishing charters are incredible. Many fishing charters can be long, hot, and tiring. With 30a Pontoon Rental and 30a Yacht Charters you are on a Yacht / Fishing Charter combo. This is a beautiful 47 food Buddy Davis Yacht with room for up to 6 guests both outside or indoors in our heated and cooled saloon. Our deep-sea fishing charters are located in the Destin Harbor. 

DO YOU OFFER ANY OTHER STYLE BOATS OR SHORTER TRIPS

30a Pontoon Rental offers a fabulous experience on a Water Trolley. This boat looks much like the fabulous gondola style boats in Italy or other countries. Although it’s not as big as a pontoon rental boat, it has room for 8 passengers. We offer 2-hour trips. Our Destin Water Trolley is located in the Destin Harbor. Guest will have to drive to Destin or get transportation down to Destin.

Welcome to Family Tides 30A , a charming two-story vacation home in Blue Mountain Beach that perfectly blends comfort and coastal elegance. With four bedrooms, this delightful rental retreat accommodates up to ten guests, making it ideal for a memorable beach getaway.

Located just off Scenic 30A, Family Tides is a short stroll from the beautiful white sand shore, a lavish community pool, multiple putting greens, shuffleboard courts, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Family Tides 30A's exterior exudes coastal charm with its serene pale blue facade and white trim, complemented by a columned veranda where Adirondack chairs invite you to relax and unwind. Inside, the first floor features a bright and open living area, complete with comfortable seating draped in creamy white slipcovers, a large flatscreen TV, and tasteful beach-themed decor. The adjacent dining area includes a rustic hardwood table in a cozy alcove, perfect for lingering meals, while the kitchen is equipped with custom white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, ready for any culinary creation. A glass door leads to a patio with a gas grill, ideal for alfresco dining.

One of the four bedrooms is conveniently located on the first floor, featuring cottage-style furnishings and a queen-size bed with direct access to a full bath. Upstairs, the primary bedroom offers a king-size bed, a private veranda, and an ensuite bath with double vanity sinks, a soaking tub, and a walk-in shower. The other two guest bedrooms include a king-size bed in one and a twin and full bed in the bunk room, both sharing a full hall bath. The area’s namesake comes from early Spanish explorers who mistook the blooming Blue Lupine flowers on the dunes for distant blue mountains. This mostly residential community offers a peaceful retreat with a touch of local artistry. 30a Pontoon Rental Questions and Answers

1. WHY RENT A PONTOON BOAT

A pontoon rental boat in the Destin / 30a area is the perfect boat for enjoying the bay, Crab Island, etc.   A pontoon rental boat gives guests more than enough room for 12 people to comfortably enjoy the water.   A typical ski boat or fishing boat only allows 6-8 people to sit comfortably, a pontoon has a more open floor plan.  A typical pontoon rental boat is a 23 foot 12 passenger boat.  Our single decker pontoon rental boats are 28 foot, 18 passenger pontoon rentals and our double decker is a 28 foot, 14 passenger pontoon rental boat.  Although we are not allowed to have more than 12 guests on a pontoon boat, this gives you way more room than an average pontoon rental boat, plus, because it's a few feet longer, it's a much smoother ride. 

2. WHAT IS THERE TO DO ON THE WATER

There are tons of really fun things to do while out on the water.   

Crab Island- Crab Island is a favorite destination spot.  It's a beautiful sandbar where the water is crystal clear and only 2-4 feet deep.   It looks like the same beautiful blue water you'd experience in the Bahamas.  In season 100's of boats drop anchor and play for the day.  There are food boats that will pull up next to your boat and offer ice cream, boiled peanuts, etc.   There is also a boat that offers burgers, fries, etc but it's pretty expensive.   It's quicker to get to Crab Island by boat from the 30a area than it is by car.

HOW FAR IS IT BY PONTOON RENTAL BOAT TO CRAB ISLAND?

If you drove by car from anywhere on 30a (Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Grayton Beach, Seagrove, Seaside, Inlet Beach, etc) it takes about 1-1.5 hours plus 20 minutes to park, 20 minutes to unload your car and get to dock, 20 minutes for training, and 20 minutes to get to Crab Island.  With 30a Pontoon Rental you can be at the dock in 10-20 minutes from anywhere on 30a and be at Crab Island in 45 minutes by pontoon rental boat.  

O ther fun things while on the water...

The Destin Harbor - The Destin Harbor is also a favorite stop.   There are tons of restaurants, stores, a climbing wall, etc.   Many famous places like AJ's, Harry T's, Dewey Destin's are located in the Destin Harbor.  A cruise on a pontoon rental boat gives you an opportunity to tour all these destinations.

Holiday Isle - Holiday Isle is a community within the Destin Harbor with beautiful homes, fabulous boats, etc.  There is nothing quite like experiencing the homes on the water with a pontoon rental.    

Bayou's - There are 4-5 beautiful Bayou's from our location to Crab Island. . The Bayou's are decked with some of the most beautiful homes on the panhandle.   You can drive back most of the Bayou's on a pontoon rental. 

Lulu 's- Lulu's restaurant is owned by Jimmy Buffett's sister.  It's a fabulous tourist destination where you can enjoy indoor and outdoor dining.  It also has a fun outdoor area with a beach where kids can play.   Don't forget to stop at the outdoor bar right on the water for a drink.   Lulu's is a short pontoon rental ride about half way between 30a and Crab Island.  

3. ARE WE ALLOWED TO BRING ALCOHOL ON OUR PONTOON RENTAL?

Yes, you are allowed to bring alcohol on the boat.  However, there are very strict rules for operating a water vessel under the influence.   Our policy prohibits the driver from having any alcohol.  Keep in mind, a boat operates much different than a car, and there are 100's of other boats on the water.   Plus, the current can be rough at times.  Any alcohol impaires the drivers ability to respond quickly to certain circumstances. 

4. HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO RENT A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?

The United States Coast Guard requires all drivers to be born on or before January of 1988 without a boating certificate.  However, anyone over 30 is allowed to drive if they a boating certificate.   Renters are able to rent between 25-30 if they hire a captain.   There are no exceptions to these rules.

5. WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY ON A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?

Maximum capacity on a pontoon rental boat is 12.  However, if you hire a captain, you are allowed to have 12 plus the captain.   PLEASE NOTE:  Children of any size are included in that 12.  The United States Coast Guard counts heads.  There are no exceptions to this rule. 

6.  WHAT SHOULD I BRING ON OUR PONTOON RENTAL

The boat is equipped with a radio, shade, etc.   However, we strongly recommend water shoes, suntan lotion, and long sleeve moisture wicking shirts.  A long sleeve moisture wicked shirt can help with the direct sunlight.   In addition, we recommend bringing bottled water, enough food for 6 hours (including snacks, sandwiches, fruit, veggies).  If you plan to drink alcohol, we strongly recommend rotating bottled waters between each drink.   It's very easy to get dehydrated and sick while out on the water. 

7. WHAT AGE IS TOO YOUNG TO BE ON A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?

This is a great question.   We often get families of all ages (including newborn infants) on our pontoon rental boats.   There is plenty of shade on all our pontoon rental boats, but the shade is limited.   The sun still comes in from the sides and can be very strong.   In addition, the water in the middle of the bay can be rough at times.   It may be best to have children under 6 months of age do a Destin pickup instead of our 30a pontoon rental location.  It's the same boat, but the young ones won't be out in the water as long and the water won't be as rough.   A Yacht Charter is a great option if guests want a much safer atmosphere for children.

8. ARE THERE ANY TOYS ON THE PONTOON RENTAL BOAT

30a Pontoon Rental offers a variety of fun toys and/or add ons.  

FLOATING PADS- Everyone's favorite is our 18 X 6 floating pad.  The floating pad is big enough for your entire party to relax and play.  Kids love to run around on the pad and play king of the mountain.   We strongly recommend this add on.  

YOLO BOARDS - These super fun paddle boards allow guests to paddle around Crab Island and test their balancing skills.  It's fun to be on the top of the water looking down at the crystal clear blue water.

KARAOKE MACHINES - Yes, we offer 100 watt Karaoke machines.  Nothing quite like having your own concert at Crab Island.   You'll either entertain your neighbors, or drive them away. :)   Either way, it's a fun way to enjoy your time on the Pontoon Rentals. 

TUBING- 30a Pontoon Rental offers tubing on our pontoon rental boats.  It's a fabulous 2 person tube.  However, it's only available on our single decker tritoons.

UNDERWATER CAMERAS - 30a Pontoon Rental offers a GOPRO style underwater camera.   A great way to capture fun memories.  

COOLERS- A 80-100 quart cooler is a must.   Great for keeping your food and drinks cold, but also keeping some items dry during your pontoon rental experience.

9. WHAT IS THERE TO DO IN THE DESTIN HARBOR?

The Destin Harbor is an incredible tourist that offers great food, clothing stores, a climbing wall, fishing charters, yacht charters, parasailing, dolphin cruises, etc.   It's about a 500 yard strip o f land on the water with a dock large enough for the above activities.

The Destin Harbor is also home to Holiday Isle.  Holiday Isle has some of the most beautiful homes in the area.  It's a blast to see them from the back side where you can also enjoy seeing a collection of fabulous yachts, fishing boats, etc. 

10. HOW FAR IS IT BY PONTOON RENTAL  BOAT TO THE DESTIN HARBOR?

If you had to drive to the Destin Harbor by car from anywhere on 30a (Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Grayton Beach, etc)  it would take approximately 1-1.5 hours plus 20 minutes to park, 20 minutes to walk down to the dock 20 minutes to get trained, and 20 minutes to get out on the water.   With 30a Pontoon rental you can be at our dock in 10-20 minutes from anywhere on the 30a area and be at the Destin Harbor or Harbor Walk Village by pontoon rental in 45-50 minutes by pontoon rental boat.
