Southwestern Yacht Club--650 members. Two sponsors required. Six-month waiting list. Initiation $2,000, monthly dues of $66.

Sunset Aquatic Yacht Club--100 members, 90% powerboaters. No facility. Two sponsors and boat ownership required. Initiation $100, annual dues $200.

UC Irvine Sailing Assn.--100 members. Must be associated with university (student, faculty, staff or alumni). No initiation. $25 for students, $50 monthly for everyone else.

Venice Yacht Club--80 members, 95% powerboaters. Two sponsors needed. Initiation $350, monthly dues $35.

Ventura Sailing Club--160 members, 90% sailboaters. No facility. No initiation. Annual dues $25.

Ventura Yacht Club--200 members. Three sponsors needed. Initiation $2,000, annual dues $350.

Voyagers Yacht Club--86 members. Initiation $100, and $85 every three months.

West Coast Yacht Club--80 members. No facility. Two sponsors and boat ownership required. Initiation $100, dues $60 annually. Must have family.

Westlake Yacht Club--450 members. Three-month waiting list. Two sponsors required. Initiation fee $650 and refundable equity purchase of $350, annual dues of $260.

Windjammers Yacht Club--200 members, 90% sailboaters. Three sponsors needed. Initiation $350, monthly dues $45.

Wooden Hull Owners Assn.--125 members. No facility. One sponsor and a wooden boat required. Initiation $25, annual fee $25.
