Lürssen has remained a family-run German shipyard since its inception in 1875 and is now in its fourth generation of private ownership. The company was founded by Friedrich Lürssen with a desire to create a leading shipyard in both quality and performance.

Bannenberg & Rowell is an award-winning superyacht design studio based in Fulham , the direct descendent of the Jon Bannenberg studio established in the early 1960s.

AVANTAGE yacht interior
The interior design is masterminded by Bannenberg & Rowell Design, accommodating 14 guests and a crew of 18.
She was built by Lürssen in their German shipyard. She features five exterior decks, a foredeck helipad, and a sundeck jacuzzi.
The beach club offers an effortless indoor-outdoor entertainment experience that is a stylish addition to the yacht.
The main deck has space for an alfresco lounge and dining area in the sunshine, with a half deck that is shaded by the upper deck overhang.
Her interior design is timeless, with beautiful furnishing and seating that make guests want to sink in and relax.
The yacht interior exudes an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. This design makes her an ideal yacht for socializing and entertaining with friends and family.
She is also equipped with high-tech audio-visual equipment.
The exterior design of the AVANTAGE yacht is designed by Bannenberg & Rowell Design. She has a white hull of steel, aluminum superstructure, and teak decks. Her exterior exudes a modern, stylish, and sleek appearance.
There are open deck spaces, long and elegant lines, and a large foredeck with the yachts emblem.
She is equipped with a Compass Tenders Limo Tender, amongst other luxury water toys that make her a fun and entertaining yachting experience. She has a yearly running cost of $15-$20 million.

Delivered: Lurssen's 87m superyacht AVANTAGE
By Katia Damborsky 13 July 2020 Formerly known as 'Project Hawaii', the 87m (285') motor yacht AVANTAGE has been successfully handed over to her Owners. After hitting the water for the first time in January, AVANTAGE has left Lurssen's facilities and is now undertaking her maiden voyage towards Gibraltar. The news of her delivery comes after YachtCharterFleet broke the news that the yacht was officially called AVANTAGE, which had been kept under wraps until recently. The 'A' emblem on her helipad was the only clue as to her real name.  The 2,950 GT Custom motor yacht features interior design and exterior styling from Bannenberg & Rowell. She marks the sixth yacht with exteriors penned by the British design studio. She is expected to have a number of impressive on-board features including a large beach club and of course, a stylish helipad.  It is not yet known whether M/Y AVANTAGE will join the world of private yacht charter . Written by Rachael Steele The 87m/285.5ft Lürssen PROJECT HAWAII was renamed motor yacht ‘AVANTAGE’ as recorded from her AIS (Automatic Identification System) signal. Lurssen Project Hawaii now called AVANTAGE superyacht. Photo credit Tom Van Oossanen Construction began in 2017 with her launch in 2020, and although the shipyard has closely guarded information regarding M/Y AVANTAGE, hints at her name were already visible on the ‘A’ on the foredeck helipad. Both her interior and exterior styling come from Bannenberg & Rowell and covers five decks, providing plenty of indoor and outdoor social areas for guests. Her recent sea trials recorded a top speed of 16.9 knots and a cruising speed of 9.7knots from twin 16V 4000 M63 MTU diesel engines. Grâce à l'énergie des power sailors, la manche a malgré tout pu être remportée, le contraire aurait été injuste après avoir mené de bout en bout cette première manche de la Louis Vuitton Cup. TNZ confirme sa supériorité face aux Italiens Déjà adversaires sur la finale des régates préliminaires, les Italiens avaient à cœur de battre le Defender, même si les points ne comptent pas quand celui-ci est engagé sur la Louis Vuitton Cup. Après un joli départ, les Italiens ont perdu sur la tête sur un virement négocié trop tôt, et ne sont jamais parvenu à revenir sur les kiwis. Patriot scotché au départ La troisième manche de la journée a très mal démarré pour l'équipage américain. Privé de vol après une molle, le défi américain a lamentablement passé la ligne trop tôt en mode archimédien, avant de revenir en mode « fly », et de recoller à son adversaire anglais. Malgré cette énorme bévue, les Américains remontent fort et prouvent que le Patriot possède un très fort potentiel de vitesse , à condition de voler. Victoire pour les Anglais.  Luna Rossa gagne son premier point face aux françaisFace aux grands favoris, Quentin Delapierre n'a pas démérité en prenant un excellent départ, quelques longueurs devant les Italiens. Jimmy Spithill, double vainqueur de lka Coupe de l'America , parvient à pousser les Français sur la gauche du plan d'eau, dans une zone sans vent. Bénéficiant d'une meilleure vitesse , Luna Rossa passe les Frenchies au premier virement, et prend rapidement 250m d'avance dans les deux premières minutes de course. Marquant son adversaire, et ne laissant aucune chance à leur adversaire, le défi Italien termine la manche avec une confortable avance. Accident de grutage pour le Defender Cette première journée de régates a été marquée par un accident malheureux pour le Defender. Au moment de gruter son AC 75, le défi Néo-Zélandais a subi un problème de grue, et leur foiler est tombé lourdement sur le ber, écrasant le patin avant. Nul doute qu'un tel choc a eu des conséquences, puisque les kiwis ont renoncé au minima à courir sur la 2 e journée de la Louis Vuitton Cup, qu'ils devaient courir contre les Français. Une nuit chargée s'annonce pour l'équipe technique tenante du titre….  |
