The Spirit of Ft. Lauderdale sunset cruise is fantastic! We were greeted with humor and enthusiasm by Richard then taken care of by Adam and Gary while sailing. The cruise last night was perfect for seeing the gorgeous colors of the sunset but also the full moon rise! The crew gave a little commentary regarding the famous residences as we sailed out to sea and the trip includes light snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and a champagne toast. Beer and wine were available for a nominal charge of $3 each. This evening cruise is great for any occasion, or if you just want to try something different.

This was an awesome excursion and I was finally able to face my fear of swimming in the ocean! The crew (Joe, Mike and Tanner) were great as well. They provided complimentary water, pretzels and peanuts to everyone which was really appreciated because swimming makes me so hungry. Great experience!

My friend was visiting from Dubai...and we took him out for the sunset cruise..it was just perfect..good weather, amazing crew..2 hrs trip...that what we were looking for. You can do BYOB and there is complimentary pretzals and peanuts :)

Used a yelp deal for their sunset cruise and we had a great time. We were running late after getting stuck in traffic, and they were willing to hold the boat for us. Very nice cruise and the guys working on the boat are really great. The only thing I would suggest is to have blankets or towels on the boat for when the wind starts to pick up. It got a little chilly that night, and I think something like that would be a nice touch.

My husband and I took our son and daughter on an afternoon cruise to a secluded Eco Park beach area. It was the highlight of our vacation in Ft. Lauderdale. We cruised past the mansions on the intracoastal and then out to the ocean. Captain Gary was an expert at handling the choppy waves and the mate Cody was a top notch tour guide. Cody entertained my kids and showed them a fun time. The catamaran was clean and stocked with complimentary soft drinks, water and pretzels. You can BYOB if you want. The secluded beach was south of the commercial beach and we were practically the only people there. The Spirit of Lauderdale deserves the top ranking on Trip Advisor. If you get Cody as your guide then a good time is guaranteed!

Spirit of Lauderdale was behind me coming through a drawbridge on the ICW. Way too close and attempted to bull their way past with oncoming traffic. Extremely poor seamanship and no concern for the safety of themselves, their passengers, or other boaters. Steer clear.

I booked my first sunset cruise with Tropical Sailing in Fort Lauderdale for my 30th birthday. I decided to choose this company because I invited a ton of friends and wanted to be as budget-conscious as possible. Not only was this cruise affordable, but it was a great experience all around! The staff are so very friendly with great senses of humor and personalities. Relaxing music played in the background as we drifted away from the dock and into the open water. The sun setting is just a spectacular sight in itself, and at that time is when we got our champagne to toast to. My friends couldn't stop raving about how wonderful of an experience this was. My husband wants to do this again, very soon! Thank you, Tropical Sailing, for a perfect birthday celebration!

We took the entire company staff how to a Christmas get-together on the Lauderdale what a great time beautiful scenery to sailthru as the sun went down highly recommend this for a larger group to get together and have a special time

That was a brilliant trip! Crew guts you rock! I was there today at 1pm snorkeling tour. Free drinks, snacks, + I was sitting at front of the boat! I highly recommend that company and particular that tour to everyone! Great, marvelous job!

Great fun! Bring a snack. Cheap parking if you let the hotel know you are going sailing.

We provide all Coast Guard required safety gear on all of our boats as  it is not necessary to bring very much with you, however, below is a list of items we suggest you bring.

Towels, sunglasses, sunscreen, long sleeve shirt and hat for sun protection, snacks and plenty of water!

Is there a maximum capacity on each boat?

Yes, each of our boats has a limit on the number of people allowed on the boat is usually between 6-13 max by law.

Can I bring my own food or alcohol?

Yes, you sure can all types of food & drinks are welcome.

Tropical Sailing’s core focus is on corporate events, incentives, and higher end private charters. We have available the only sail Catamaran in South Florida able to comfortably accommodate over 100 guests on a single vessel.

Catamarans by nature feature a stable ride due to the wide nature of these vessels design. An added feature of this design is the open salon and spaciousness resulting in the ability for larger groups to comfortably enjoy the cruise without feeling cramped.

We can cater to all our guests needs, from the domestic Food and beverage package included with every private charter, a delicious lunch buffet to a complete sit down meal.

Our catamarans are based from Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Since our venues are mobile we can offer charters from Palm Beach the Florida Keys and just about anywhere in between.

Caribbean Spirit

Our newest and largest catamaran is the Caribbean Spirit. This 80 foot long catamaran is Certified by the US Coast Guard to carry 125 guests. This catamaran is maintained to Yacht standards and is used exclusively for our higher end corporate clients. We can cater to all our guests needs, from the domestic Food and beverage package included with every private charter, a delicious lunch buffet to a complete sit down meal.

Based in Miami’s Bayside marina, The Caribbean Spirit is the largest day sailing catamaran in North America and features a huge covered main salon area with a U shaped service bar as well as a partially covered aft lounge area. There are plenty of areas for lounging sunbathing and sightseeing. Our catamaran also features fresh water showers, a stairway to the sea, a sound system with bluetooth connection for your favorite music and separate men’s/woman’s restrooms.

Kick off your shoes, forget your worries and let the friendly, professional crew hoist the sails and plot a course to relaxation. Stay out of the sun and weather in the expansive covered salon area, or catch some rays on comfortable outer decks. Guests aboard the Spirit of Lauderdale enjoy lounging upon the nets suspended along the front of the vessel, a covered seating area, service bar, stairway to the sea and is the only sail catamaran in Florida with a water slide available. • If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.
