The full-day cruise begins in the lovely village of Trou d’Eau Douce, where we shall sail to the Grand River South East waterfall and witness its spectacular beauty. • 09.15 am. : Meet our team at Debarcadere, Trou d’Eau Douce for the embarkation process
• 12 pm to 1:30 pm. : Enjoy a juicy BBQ lunch on board
• 1:30 pm. : Set off to Ile aux Cerfs to enjoy free time to relax, unwind and appreciate the heavenly setting
• 2.45 pm. : Departure from Ile aux Cerfs back to Trou d’Eau Douce
• 4 pm. : End of the cruise at Jetty

The departure point of our cruises is at Trou d'eau douce in the east of Mauritius, at the jetty. You will need your booking voucher, which you will present to a member of the crew, to board our catamarans.

You should arrive at 09:15 in the morning to meet our teams and boarding will take place at 09:30.

• Departure from Trou D'Eau Douce landing stage at 9.30am.
• Sail through the island's south-east lagoon.
• Visit the Grande Rivière Sud Est waterfall.
• Stop to snorkel with the help of the crew. (Snorkelling equipment not provided) *
• Barbecue lunch on board.
• After lunch, head for Ile aux Cerfs.
• Disembark and enjoy your free time on the island.
• Departure from the island at around 14:45.
• Return to the pier at 16:00.
• Swimming suit and change of clothes
• Beach towel
• Camera equipment
• Sun protection
• Shoes are removed before boarding the catamaran
• Make provision for some cash for your activities on Ile aux Cerfs (optional)
• Drinks: table or mineral water, fruit juices, soft drinks (Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite, Fanta), a selection of local alcoholic drinks: beer, rum, red wine, pink wine, white wine.
• Lunch: a delicious barbecue buffet with fish, chicken, kebabs and sausages, pasta salad, cabbage, rolls and fresh fruit for dessert.
• Life jackets
• Bilingual crew (French and English)

All payments must be made by bank transfer in advance. We also accept payment by credit card and Juice. Payments must be made in full before boarding.

The four catamarans Blue Dolphin, Green Dolphin, Fanta Sea and Vitamin Sea are licensed to carry 26 passengers each.

If you wish to book one of our catamarans for an exclusive cruise, we ask for a fixed price to reserve the catamaran, and then a fixed price per person for your choice of drinks and catering.

By purchasing an excursion from our website, you will obtain an open voucher which will be confirmed by calling or emailing us with the desired date of your excursion. Our open vouchers are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.

Yes, we can prepare meals for children, vegetarians, etc. on request.

Explore the beauty of the far north seas onboard our Lagoon 380 in small group. The Catamaran will set anchor in an amazing lagoon of Ilot Gabriel, you will get to disembark on Flat island where you can swim and snorkel before lunch is served on board. Before the day ends, the adventure will not be completed unless you experience the crystal clear waters of the natural aquarium.

Ilot Gabriel & Flat Island Catamaran Cruise on North Coast

Enjoy an unforgettable cruising experience onboard of one of our catamarans based in Grand Baie to the north islands. The catamaran motors out of Grand Baie at 08h00, heading for the islands, passing Gunners Coin, before reaching the lagoon between Ilot Gabriel and Flat Island. If you are lucky, you may see whales and dolphins during this fun adventure.

The Catamaran will set anchor in an amazing lagoon of Ilot Gabriel, you will get to disembark on a Flat island where you can swim and snorkel before lunch is served on board. Vegetarians are catered for too: notification should be given upon booking. You can then go and discover the white sandy beaches of Ilot Gabriel, enjoy a sunbath and simply relax and indulge in this perfect setting before embarking on board to sail back to Grand Baie. During the sail back, the Catamaran will stop at Gunners Coin for the last snorkel.

The expected arrival time back to Grand Baie is around 16h00. This cruise offers the combination of all 3 islands of the North.

It has a flushable marine toilet for liquids only. The boat also has fresh water so you can rinse yourself from salt water.

Can we modify existing itineraries?

To some extent – yes. Sometimes we will have to because the weather isn’t always ideal and we want to stay in shallow, calm waters to keep the trip enjoyable.

Are there going to be other people on the boat with us?

If you have booked a private or a liveaboard charter NO else YES if you have booked our shared basis cruises.

Can we play our own music on the boat with us?

Absolutely. Our boats are equipped with sound systems that allow both a traditional jack as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

Are drinks included? Is there a cooler on the boat?

We have you covered as most of our cruises come with bottled water and soft drinks as well as ice cold beer, local Rhum & snacks. Should you need a bottle of champagne of spirits for a special occasion simply ask for our wine & spirits menu. We will make sure that the bottle/s you have ordered will be on board for when you cruise with us.

Your cruise starts and ends at Grand Baie in our modern catamaran. Our crew is friendly with a great sense of humor and entertainment (they'll even play live music on board while you enjoy your lunch!). We respect the environment and take security very seriously. To optimize your experience, we also limit this cruise to a small group.

This activity is available with either private transfer from any accommodation on the island or self-drive .

1 Optional Pickup

If you opt for transfer, your driver will pick you up in a private (non-shared) vehicle at your accommodation anywhere in Mauritius. Note that this entails an additional small fee. For self-drive (i.e if you are going by your own means, we will share the meeting location with you.

2 Embark the Catamaran and set sail to Gabriel Island

You will be invited to embark our catamaran departing at Grand Baie. Our team will brief you a security briefing and at 09:00 we'll set sail to Gabriel Island. The navigation time is roughly 1.5 hours.

3 Enjoy the scenic view of the ocean and coast line

As we navigate to the island of Gabriel, you'll be blessed with the scenic ocean and cost line view. There are several outlying islands like the Coin de Mire. If you're lucky enough, you'll be able to catch glimpse of whales or even dolphins.

4 Arrive at Gabriel Island

You will then arrive at Gabriel island. This little island a protected natural reserve that has kilometers of beaches protected from mass tourists. You'll be at your own leisure and can use this time to just sit back and relax or get into the warm crystal clear water.

5 Savor a BBQ lunch with unlimited drinks

You will be then invited to join the catamaran again where a delicious BBQ lunch (fish, chicken, sausages) with green salads will be served. Complimentary and unlimited drinks (inlcuding both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be served.

6 Set sail back to Grand Bay

We will then set sail back to Grand Baie. The boat will make several stops so that you can snorkel. Once again, you'll get the enjoy the seascape including several outlying islands in the North of Mauritius.

7 Arrive at Grand Bay with your driver waiting

Your arrival at Grand Baie is expected at around 16:00 - 16:30. If you opted for the transfer option, your driver will be right at the deembarkation point ready to pick you up and drive you back to your accommodation.

The cruise itself was more than we expected - I like how friendly and decent the boat crew was. North coast catamaran cruises to Ilot Gabriel

Enjoy an unforgettable cruising experience on board on of our catamarans based in the north, Wind Dancer 1 & Wind Dancer 2", to Ilot Gabriel. During this excursion enjoy lunch and a full open bar service including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The catamaran cruise starts at 8:30 am, departing from Grand Baie. The catamaran motors out of Grand Baie before hoisting its sails and heading for the islands, passing Gunners Coin, before reaching the lagoon between Ilot Gabriel and Flat Island. The sailing time to reach Ilot Gabriel is around one and a half hours. Ilot Gabriel is most famous for its beautiful unspoiled beaches and its crystal clear water surrounding the entire island. As one of the crew's mission is to ensure that our guests have a memorable time, they like to crack a few jokes, tell local tales, answer questions and play Mauritian séga which will set the ambiance for the rest of the day and lift the spirits of everyone on board. If you are lucky, you may see whales and dolphins during this fun adventure; in this case, the crew will stop the boat to allow you to observe these great animals from close in their natural habitat during the excursion.

When the catamaran reaches Ilot Gabriel it will set anchor in an amazing lagoon, where swimming and snorkeling are a must before lunch is served. At around 12.30 you will enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch buffet onboard of the catamaran. Vegetarians are catered for too: notification should be given upon booking. You can then go and discover the white sandy beaches of Ilot Gabriel, enjoy a sun bath and simply relax and indulge this perfect setting before embarking on board to sail back to Grand Baie. During the sail back you can enjoy light snacks, the bar services and the live music. Expected arrival time back to Grand Baie is around 4 pm.

Gabriel Island: also known as Ilot Gabriel, this island located near Round Island and Flat island at the extreme north of Mauritius and about 10 kilometers north of Cap Malheureux. The distance between Gabriel Island and Flat island is only 750 meters. The size of the island is 42 hectares, making it much smaller than Flat island, and the highest point is 28 meters. Gabriel Island is a protected natural reserve. In comparison to Flat Island, Gabriel Island has less flora and fauna. The island is a very popular site for snorkelers and divers.

West coast catamaran cruises to Ile aux Benitiers

Our full day catamaran cruise from the west coast of Mauritius can be booked on a shared basis or on an exclusive charter basis. This cruise will take you to discover the south west part of the island and bring along an opportunity to see dolphins. Snorkeling on the reefs and visiting Crystal rock and "Benitier" Island are part of the trip.

This catamaran cruise includes a BBQ lunch buffet as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day and the following attractions. When visiting Mauritius this cruise is a must do. It departs at 9am from Black River and sails in deep blue waters outside the reef towards Tamarin Bay allowing you to spot the school of dolphins living on the west coast of the island. A snorkeling stop is included in the itinerary near the reef of La Preneuse. Once there, you can either have a casual swim, snorkel with the colorful reef fish, have a drink or simply relax on the trampolines whilst enjoying breathtaking views of the Black River mountain range (amongst is La Tourelle du Tamarin and our highest mountain Le Piton de la Petite Riviere Noire rising to 828 metres). You will then go to visit the famous Crystal Rock which stands out in the middle of the lagoon. A delicious BBQ lunch will be served on board of the catamaran before heading to Benitiers Island and its beautiful white sandy beaches. As backdrop you will see Le Morne Mountain, classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in July 2008. The crew, who enjoys playing séga music and keeping our guests entertained, will make sure that you will keep fond memories of this day out at sea whilst visiting Mauritius. We sail back to the embarcation point at 4 pm.

About Ile aux Bénitiers: L'Ile Aux Bénitiers is a rather long island which has a coconut tree plantation and has become one of the island preferred picnic spot for locals and tourists. The island's closest neighboring village is La Gaulette. On the north of the island live small colonies of migratory birds. This island is located in the lagoon of the west coast and is sheltered from swells and totally protected from waves and currents.

Catamaran Cruises at it's best in Mahebourg

Croisières Turquoise, a long time established Catamaran Cruise Company, operates three comfortable catamarans on the South East coast of Mauritius since 1987. Enjoy a peaceful sailing experience in the calm turquoise lagoon from Pointe Jerome to Ile-aux-Cerfs. On the way, you will have the opportunity to snorkel amongst tropical fish and corals, or simply swim in the crystal clear shallow water.

A short visit to the Grande Riviere Sud Est Waterfall will hopefully make you discover some species of the endemic fauna of Mauritius. (Monkeys, bats, paille-en-queue...) and the wilderness of the flora.

A mouth-watering lunch will be served on board (Smoked marlin mousse, grilled fish and chicken, potato and rice salads, fresh salads, crispy bread, season fruits...) accompanied of white and red wine.
