Island Time Bermuda

Established in 2015, Bermuda Yachts is a Bermudian owned and operated company by brothers Justin and Jonathan Kempe. After designing a uniquely custom yacht, the Kempe brothers moved to South Africa in 2009, setup their own build operation, and returned 5 years later with ZARA, sailing 6,000 miles across vast oceans. As third generation charter captains, our passion and experience translate into a smooth charter experience, from start to finish. We  offer a total of four yachts for charter with captain/ crew. A 77 ft sailing catamaran, a 34 ft sailing catamaran, a 32ft powerboat and a 42 ft RIB powerboat. Find out more about each boat below.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which boat is right for me.

Zara is perfect for larger groups or simply for those looking for plenty of space and comfort. Zola is for smaller groups looking for the same comforts as Zara but on a smaller scale. Zena is good for smaller groups looking for comfort and to go faster / snorkel the outer reef. Zeus is ideal for larger groups looking to do offshore snorkel adventures on the outer reef / those looking to go fast. Or feel free to combine the boats and they can all tie alongside each other at anchor.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

All of our boats come with a professional captain/crew included in the cost of hiring the boat. We also provide swim noodles, snorkeling gear and on Zara and Zola we also have paddleboards. For Zola, Zena and Zeus where you are allowed to bring your own drinks we provide coolers and ice for free. On Zola we also have drinks for pre-purchase at the time of booking. For Zara we have a full service bar which is charged on consumption. We do not provide towels so please remember to bring towels & sunscreen (non spray on type). 

DO YOU OFFER PER HEAD TOURS?

Yes, for Zara you can book a ticket to jump on a tour which departs from Royal Naval Dockyard. You can book tickets here .

DO YOU PROVIDE CATERING?

Yes, we can put you in touch with one of our catering partners. Feel free to bring your own food/snacks on either boat. Or we can put you in touch with a catering provider to provide food for your cruise. For Zara this can be a more extensive catering offering with hand passed canapes, full buffet etc. For Zola, Zena and Zeus we recommend a simpler catering option.

Captain Kirk's Fleet

The Aristocat is a spacious and comfortable catamaran that is versatile and customisable to suit any need. The Aristocat has plenty of lounging space: both in the open air on comfortable mats on the bow for sunbathing or sightseeing, and a large shaded cockpit and salon if that’s more your thing.

WIth a great sound system, two marine heads, snorkel gear, two swim ladders, and a large walk-around bar, this boat can do anything from sunset cruises to intimate cocktail parties to a fun day of snorkelling and sailing. Perfect for family parties, corporate events, or anything in between, the Aristocat can do it all!

Delivery Fees:

• From Central Locations:  Pick up and drop off outside of Dockyard (central locations – Albuoy’s Point, Darrell’s Wharf etc) is an additional $200 each way.
• From East End:  Pick up and drop off from the East End are subject to an additional 1 hour charge each way.
• Vessell will be at the dock 15 mins before scheduled departure time. Should you need more time, additional fees will apply.

Stable and spacious with room for up to four passengers, our modern and comfortable center console motorboats are great for snorkeling tours, a romantic picnic on a remote island, a fishing trip, or simply cruising along at your own pace.

Our staff reviews a map with you in great detail and makes recommendations based on your interests and the wind/wave conditions of the day. We then give you a basic orientation on how to operate the boat and a checklist of the equipment. Then you are free to explore Bermuda on your motorboat rental! Bon voyage!

We provide you with enough fuel that you never have to even think about running out of fuel. Every rental boat leaves the dock with a full tank and then we measure it when you return. You are then charged $10 per gallon for the fuel/oil that you used during your trip. How much you use really depends on how you use the boat and how far you go. This can vary from one or two gallons to four or five gallons.

• No refunds are given for late arrivals, missed tour/rental start times, or no-shows.
