Our brand new customized Saturn inflatable mini-catamaran MC290 is a perfect fit for customers looking for an inflatable tender style inflatable boat under 10' in length. It fills a great void in the dinghy market and is also filling a need for a backpack style inflatable boat with the commercial grade material to stand up to the test of saltwater, rocks, sand, UV rays, and gear.

It is absolutely perfect as a small pond/lake fishing boat with much greater versatility than a pontoon boat. Our patented drop-stitch core floor makes it extremely stable with the added ability to support up to 4 adults. This infltable boat will truly cruise with just an electric motor which is the recommended motor type. It will support a small outboard motor but the lightweight design and low draft profile can make the boat scream which is not what it is intended for.

All of the Saturn Inflatable Catamaran boats are intended for leisure activities and aren't designed for high speed racing as is found in similar style XCAT boats. Our catamarans have been designed without sponsors or fiberglass wings found in racing style boats with a similar profile. Care should be taken when going fast or against strong winds as the sleak design is not intended for higher speeds and could flip if operated improperly. As with any other watercrafts, always wear a life jacket and use an outboard lanyard kill switch when going fast.

Comment I bought a Saturn 10' Cat Dinghy. It was fantastic in style, handling, weight. It lasted me a little over 4 yrs before it started to come apart. To be fair. I used it every weekend ! I loaded it into the trunk of my car. Then unloaded from my trunk, blow it up & in the water for less than 10 minutes. I plan to buy another one in the next few months. more

Comment I couldn't believe how much better this performs than my traditional West Marine Zodiac Zoom. With the same 6hp on both the Zoom could hardly planes while the Saturn got up easily even with another person. Getting on and off at beaches is great for my wife with poor knees. She just walks on and off and doesn't even get her feet wet! I noted the Zoom took about 2-3 knots towed behind my sailboat. The Saturn takes so much less than 1 knot it's hard to measure. It also tracks much better between prop wakes on my power boat. Going on my 3rd season without and leaks or problems. more

Constructed of the latest materials and technology, the M460 Esprit inflatable sailboat is ultra-lightweight and delivers an exceptional sailing experience. It comes in three bags, can be assembled in about 40 minutes, and will carry 1 to 4 sailors.

M460 Esprit & Elite can be enhanced with the addition of the optional rolling sail ‘GENNA’

Genna is an ultra-light, large, balloon-like triangular-shaped sail in the ‘Code-Zero’ style, which significantly improves performance when sailing not only on the tailwind but also on the crosswind and even slightly against the wind.

Its construction is based on the ‘Code Zero’ type of sails, and it comes equipped with a furler, so a snuffer is not required, as it can be rolled back in the same way as the jib. This new rolling sail Genna can also be used with the earlier MiniCat models (M420 and M460).

The top-of-the-range MiniCat 460 Elite is a high-tech edition class-leading MiniCat portable sailboat range.

The construction is based on the MiniCat 460 Esprit, designed for experienced sailors, but the latest model ‘Elite’ takes the MiniCat 460 range to a new level of style, class, and performance through the use of an ultra-light carbon fiber mast, rudder, and bowsprit together with some eye-catching details of embroidery on the trampoline. It comes in three bags, can be assembled in about 40 minutes, and will carry 1-4 sailors.

FRAME & DECK

The MiniCat 460 frame, to which the floats attach, is produced from light-weight aluminium and the frame parts are powder coated. The trampoline is produced from high strength woven plastic fabric. The frame is attached to the floats by means of welded-on ‘flags’, which are inserted into the pockets on the floats.

The MiniCat 460 is equipped with two inflatable floats 4.6 m length and 49 cm diameter. The floats are made of reinforced Heytex 5509, highly resistant to abrasion and very hard wearing. This material and production technology was adopted from the production of ‘white-water’ rafts. The floats are single-chamber with a combined load capacity of 550 kg.

To fully enjoy your sailing you must confidently control your boat. It is imperative to minimize ‘side-sail’, especially when sailing against the wind. To achieve this keel fins were designed to attach under each float. Their design and shape gives excellent performance yet still allows the boat to be sailed in very shallow water without the risk of damage.

The mast consists of three sections of equal length, slotted together. The length of the assembled mast is 6.10 m. The mast is from alloy tubing and has a groove for the sail attachment. This construction ensures high rigidity and strength for ultimate safety, performance and enjoyment.

The MiniCat 460 is equipped with a main sail and a jib. The total area of the sails is 11,5 sqm (main sail 8,0 sqm, jib 3.5 sqm). The material ‘Racing PolyesterX-PLY Line’ is used for the main sail and the jib is made of “Polyester Dakron”. Both the main sail and jib have transparent windows to ensure better visibility and security while sailing. The 460 Esprit can be equipped with optional Gennaker.

MiniCat 460 is fitted with one rudder in the craft centreline, attached to the frame. The automatic cleat will unlock the rudder rope in case the boat runs aground, thus protecting it from damage. The design of the rudder allows it to be raised at a 90 degree angle, so at the shore or in very shallow water there is no danger of damage. The rudder can be locked in both positions, raised or lowered. The tiller arm is jointed allowing full 360 degree movement.

MiniCat Guppy Features & Benefits

The MiniCat Guppy is a combination of over a decade of experience and the idea of making sailing more accessible. The Guppy is one of the least expensive sailboats on the market and it packs a wallop in terms of value.

Easy Setup The Guppy comes mostly pre-assembled right out of the bag Simply inflate the hulls, install the center bar and put up the mast, most motivated sailors can do this in about 10 minutes! Wheeled storage bag grants you the freedom to build your Guppy close to the water.

Keels MiniCat offers the inflatable sailboats that use keels. This keeps the draft low, and makes sailing very simple with no pesky centerboards to get hung up on weeds or drag bottom in shallow areas. Guppy keels were designed by Tomas Bata University in the Czech Republic to be made out of 100% recycled plastic. Better for the environment, and they float!

Fully Battened Square-Top Mainsail The square-top mainsail provides this little cat with more than enough power to have a fun day on the water. Fully battened with fiberglass battens provides great sail shape, even in light winds. Some Guppy sailors have reported surfing waves up to 12 knots, but average reaching speeds of 8 knots have been achieved.

Premium Hulls - Heytex 5509 PVC All MiniCats, including the Guppy, have hulls made in Germany with Heytex 5509 PVC. This is top shelf PVC and has an extended life expectancy of typical boat PVC. This boat fabric is no different than other PVC with regards to repair. It is easily repairable by an amateur, so no more expensive boat yard repair bills!

Powdercoated Lightweight Aluminum Frames MiniCats are built with lightweight aluminum frames that have been powder coated using techniques that are time tested and durable, even in saltwater! The rugged, long-lasting frame uses the lightest weight materials for both transport ease and sailing performance.

Boomless Mainsail The Guppy’s boomless main design provides for worry-free sailing with children or novice sailors. No worries about getting bonked in the head by a hard boom.

Carbon Fiber, Unstayed Mast The new-for-2023 MiniCat Guppy features a brand first unstayed carbon fiber mast. After many hours of testing, the Red Beard Team absolutely LOVES this feature! The mast is flexible allowing for comfortable sailing in high winds, but is very simple to manage and provides plenty of power on light wind days. Removing the need to connect wires further speeds up the boat assembly process.

Ergonomic Trampoline The Guppy’s trampoline has plenty of handles and tiedown points so you can stash gear to bring along. There are also two sets of hiking straps so any sailor, short or tall, can comfortably and easily hike out.

Fun for Kids & Adults The Guppy is a fantastic value and is a great way for parents or grandparents to teach sailing to small children. Because the Guppy is stable and lightweight, it can even be be sailed solo by kids without being overpowered. Some customers have even had their own regattas by buying multiple Guppys and match racing them.
