The Davis Island Yacht Club is a private, member-owned yacht club situated at the south end of Davis Islands in Tampa, Florida. The Club grounds form a natural harbor and breakwater for our docks and a mooring area designated on charts as a seaplane basin.

The Club sponsors a heavy schedule of sailing races, an active cruising fleet and a strong youth sailing organization. It maintains continuing relationships with state and regional sailing organizations, is a founding member of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, and is a Golden Anchor participant in the United States Sailing Association. It provides limited support for members representing the Club in regional, national and international sailing races. Members participate heavily in local and regional events sponsor

The Davis Island Yacht Club is a member-owned, private yacht club located at the southern end of Davis Islands in Tampa, Florida. The club's grounds create a natural harbor and breakwater for the docks and a mooring area marked on charts as a seaplane basin.

The club hosts a full schedule of sailing races, maintains an active cruising fleet, and has a robust youth sailing program, the Davis Island Youth Sailing Foundation. It maintains ongoing relationships with state and regional sailing organizations, is a founding member of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, and is a member of the Yachting Club of America. The Club provides limited support for members representing the club in regional, national, and international sailing races. Members participate heavily in local and regional events sponsored by other organizations. DIYC also has an active women's sailing group known as the Dinghy Dames.

The club's facilities include wet and dry slips for members' boats, a pavilion for small sailing craft such as prams, dinghies, and one-design boats, a clubhouse, and a swimming pool. The dining room and bar serve members, their guests, and participants in the numerous regattas and educational programs hosted by the Club. DIYC’s social functions connect festivities to sailing activities.

DIYC’s long-standing Thursday Night Races are open to anyone interested in sailing and provide a great opportunity for novices or newcomers to make themselves better known to the membership.

Visiting The Club

We at the Davis Island Yacht Club are excited to welcome you to our Club. If you are from an FCYC club, no letter of recommendation is needed. Just your membership card and a photo ID. Members of Clubs assocaiated with the Register of American Yacht Clubs will need to have a letter of introduction sent to [email protected] before arriving at DIYC. We are glad to extend our guest privileges to you, per our reciprocal agreement.

When you arrive, please make your way to the bar to check in. You'll need to show your Yacht Club Membership card (either digital or physical) along with a photo ID. If your membership card has your photo, no other ID will be necessary.

Seating at the bar or restaurant is on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are not required except on Friday nights and special occasion events. All purchases in the dining room, bar, or ships store must be paid in full with a credit card. We won't charge your Club's membership account. FCYC members have the option to charge back to their home club.

Please note that the DIYC (Davis Island Yacht Club) does not have a specific dress code, except for the rule that wet bathing suits are not allowed inside the clubhouse at any time. Additionally, shirts and shoes are required inside the clubhouse.

Pets are not allowed inside the clubhouse, porches, or the pool area unless they are a certified service animal. However, your furry friend is welcome in the Regatta Bar area, the Point, your boat, and slip areas. Just keep them on a leash, clean up after them, and don't let them climb on chairs or tables.

If you have any questions about our policies or Club rules, feel free to give us a call at the office.

If you're coming by boat, get approval from our Dockmaster before arriving at our Guest Docks. And if you're driving, keep in mind that we've got about 90 boats on trailers year-round, so parking can be a bit tricky. To make things easier, please park in the grassy area outside of the members-only parking spaces. And remember, all parking on the blacktop is reserved for members, except for handicapped spaces.

The DC266 is powered by twin Yamaha 200-hp outboards. BoatTEST has run sea trials on the boat and has determined that her top speed is 49 mph with a full load of fuel and standard ss props. Her cruising range is about 306 statute miles at 27.7 mph. Her 21-degree deadrise at the transom is a good compromise between efficiency and riding comfort.

Her interior is designed for an active family. There are 3 seats in the stern, a table, and wet bar console. The bow also has a table for entertaining. A livewell, rod holders and rod racks let her fish, and a bridle and tow line are aboard for tow sports. The hard top and flush toilet are just a few of the amenities.

All SBC boats are among the best boats in their class from respected brands known for quality construction. SBC boats are twin-engine powered, have joysticks for easy docking, electric-flush heads so the boat is family-friendly, and have state-of-the-art chartplotters and fishfinders. All or our boats are equipped with VHF radios for safety.

Many boaters looking for an affordable boat, buy a used boat, hoping to enjoy the boating lifestyle for less money. But used boats often come with baggage. A worn-out engine, gremlins in the electrical system, rotting hoses and other unseen problems. Here’s How Our Program works

• Every member must take Sovereign Yacht Club’s safe boating course and receive hands-on boat use orientation. All family members over 21 are eligible as operators after taking the course.
• Once your boat orientation has been completed, members may reserve, members may reserve the boat online through our reservation service.
• Club membership fees consist of annual dues and monthly maintenance fees.
• Reserve the days you want the boat online. Some rules apply.
• Our boats are intended for member operation, but if a captain is wanted, the Club will supply one for an extra fee.
• Once you’re done for the day, step off the boat, we clean and sanitize the boat for the next member.
• Members are first in line for renewal for subsequent years, as we limit the number of members for each boat.
• Enjoy your time on the water in a premium boat.

You can have a boating experience unlike any other with our boat club services. We have several different style power boats within our fleet. We also have fishing boats and even Tritoon boats.

• Don't Consume Alcohol or Other Intoxicants
• We always advise our Members to avoid consuming alcohol or other intoxicants while operating any boat because it is both illegal and dangerous. Safety for your passengers should always be paramount. Also, there are other boaters on the water and this requires full attention with proper boat handling and navigation.

• Safe Boating Speed
• Of course, speed is an attraction for some people, but remember the comfort of your passengers, boating traffic, and ‘sea conditions’. All things considered, we always recommend maintaining a slower, safe speed.
• Always Follow Posted Speed Limits
• Boats in Tampa Bay are limited to certain posted speeds, depending on the specified area. While in areas with posted speed limits, make sure to carefully adhere to these limits or risk getting a ticket (just like you would on the road) or worse – an injury. You’ll still be able to enjoy the performance of a power boat, but following the speed limits ensures safe conditions for you and other boaters.
