The Captain’s Table Restaurant at Hyannis Yacht Club In addition to a sensational sailing venue, the Club has a wonderful restaurant featuring seafood and steaks. Our main dining room and bar are open daily for lunch and dinner year round. In season, members enjoy casual dining on our covered deck overlooking the bay. In addition to the full menu, the bar features light fare and is the hub of both social and recreational activities around the Club. Our culinary staff is skilled in creating custom quality foods that are not only appealing to your taste but pleasing to the eye. Quality food, excellent service, elegant atmosphere are all yours when dining at the Captain's Table. Persons may join the club as an Associate Member to enjoy the dining experience and the views of the bay provided at the Captains Table. This membership allow the Associate to participate in dinner dances, lectures and other selective lunch and dinner activities.

Came here for a brunch with a big group - they split us up into different tables but were very nice about it. Idk how we fit because the space was so small but I guess we got lucky with the time. The waitress was super nice and accommodating of our ridiculous questions and the fact we were all barely awake (and many hungover). She took it all in stride with a sense of humor. I got the corn dog which was so hilariously plated I couldn't stop laughing. Was not expecting that. The sauces were eh (beer cheese with NO flavor) but I was also eating a corn dog at 11 am so... I got a side of cole slaw that was pretty big (although a little deceptive with a big lettuce leave holding it up and making the serving look bigger) and then I also got a gazpacho (don't ask about this combination). It was a chunkier one with a swirl of sour cream that was clearly from some type of a bottle which was kind of gross looking but the flavor was the same as normal sour cream so whatever. The bloody Marys were WEIRD. We couldn't figure out what the prominent flavor for but it was odd. This place is no frills, kind of dive-y with the smallest bar I have ever seen. There is outdoor seating, but not much bigger out there. Def would come back for something cheap and easy. Classic Cape food!

One of the few places on the Cape to eat on the water. Service is excellent food is OK. However even though it's illegal to charge a fee on a credit card in Massachusetts they chargiem3% on every credit card transaction. they justify it by calling it a "convenience fee"! I have never been anywhere where they charged a fee for using a credit card. Was supposed to be a classy place, but they nickel and dime their members. People are just going to end up taking the fee out of their tips, so in reality, they're hurting their own employees!

Sunday brunch was fantastic. Started off with coffee and a perfect Bloody Mary with a shrimp. The first course was a fruit bowl served in a hollowed out cantaloupe. Then came eggs Benedict, lightly toasted English muffin, slightly soft poached egg and home made hollandaise sauce. This also came with French toast and home fries. The new chef did a great job! Thank you Ace.

Saniece was our server and she was perfect. Thank you for being all about what a server should be! Lunch was terrific. A beautiful day on the ocean..

Probably the worst club you could ever chose to belong to and it all stems with management and others within the executive branches. The simple fact that a human being rarely if ever answers the phone, allowing for you to make a reservation would be a start. We have called over 20, yes that's correct 20 times this week alone trying to make dinner and lunch reservations as we have many out of town guests coming to visit. The GM has shared over two weeks ago they are aware of this and as such now will have a FT reservations person that was set to begin last week. Clearly this has not happened. The fact that a restaurant stops serving at 8PM is also ridiculous. This is a summer resort community. People are boating, golfing and beaching it during the day. Would it be so much to ask that you close the kitchen at 9PM??

Overview: Ever since the Captain's Table fired their kitchen staff last summer and obliterated the existing menu, the menu and food at the Captain's Table have been, at best, lackluster, and generally basic. In a word, it is, increasingly, lowbrow. Since the end of Summer 2019, the Captain's Table is essentially no different than any other clam shack in hyannis, just at two to four times the price. I used to enjoy dining at the Captain's Table. However, last summer they apparently fired most (if not all) of the kitchen staff, including the chef, midsummer. Ever since, the food has been dreadful. During my last visit, I had a pasta primavera that was literally only (clearly very old) box penne and carrot slices. That is literally unacceptable for the price. The previous chef and kitchen often had handmade pasta, and generally the pasta dishes and their components were above par, and often very good. I don't mean to imply that the Captain's Table should somehow handmake all their pasta, etc, just that there is at least a middleground, since they apparently can't figure out how to come close to their prior menu and quality. Now when I eat at the HYC Captain's Table and when I look at the menu offerings, the menu seems very undeveloped/incomplete, strictly regarding the range of offerings and general composition of the dishes, flavors, etc. Furthermore, I have been very disappointed in my food when I have ordered at the Captain's Table, since roughly the end of Summer 2019. I wish the Captain's Table would improve their menu and food quality because I previously loved eating at the Captain's Table once every couple weeks!

Beautiful scenery and ambience on the deck and great service. We had a party of 8 and the table was ready when we arrived. Great wine list and cold martinis went well with our calamari app and onion ring tower! Lobster bisque and lobster rolls were tasty. Swordfish special was a large portion and delicious. The turtle cheesecake was a great way to end the meal and large enough to split. Generous pours of Baileys on the rocks complemented the dessert. Would definitely return!!

I have been a member for a very long time I went there Saturday night the night before St. Patrick's Day the menu has changed when you have something that works it shouldn't change it to blue it was horrible we had what I thought was going to be a traditional St. Patrick's Day dinner of corn beef and cabbage in it with a modern version I guess corn beef carrots cabbage and potato was floating in Broth Stick with New England traditions bring back shrimp cocktail bring back the old menu or are you going to lose me as a customer and I'm sure many others

I have enjoyed dining at the Captains table for the past 25 years. The food and service has always been excellent. I have dined at the Captains Table this past summer twice and on each occasion the service was fine but the food was terrible. The chicken franchise had to be one of the worst meals I have ever experienced. My wife had a chicken sandwich that was over cooked and should have never been served. I have talked to several friends and family members who belong to HYC and they have expressed the same dissatisfaction with the food this year. Hope to see some changes made.

Horrible. Like a cardboard cake; looks pretty on the outside but is totally devoid of expected substance. Most limited menu on the cape. Don't bother making a reservation, it won't guarantee they have food left for you to order. Current management has no experience with food service, no experience with management nor small business operations, and it Really Really shows. Nepotism never pays. Last I ate at the Captains table they had very few menu items and did not have the goods to make half of the extremely limited menu, on a week night, no less. Absolutely disastrous business, management lacks any sense of accountability and propriety. I'm not trying to be dramatic, but the management of this establishment should be ashamed and absolutely are not competent to run a dining establishment of any order. Significantly lower quality than the average ultra-casual seafood and take out restaurants in the town of Barnstable. I don't understand how this place is being run into the ground when they charge members dues, too? I don't understand how this restaurant can be so badly run. No options for those with any preferences for specific dishes or menu items; no options for those with dietary restrictions/allergies. I.e. not GF-friendly, not vegetarian friendly, not even pescatarian friendly--inexplicably, not nut allergy friendly nor allergy friendly in general. Staff and management are highly unprofessional in their disposition and behave in a shady manner. Restaurant management used member dues for all new deck furniture but apparently cannot afford sufficient supplies to make half of the food items on the one sided single-page-length menu. Your dollar will even go further at Chatham bars in or similar restaurants...which is pretty sad given
