VISAKHAPATNAM: How about spending a day on a yacht, riding high across the coastal stretch and then returning to the shore in the evening for several fun-filled activities? Come December first week, the Visakhapatnam district administration, in collaboration with the Tourism department, will organise Yacht Pentagonal to attract tourists to the port city this winter. The authorities have lined up seven festivities including the Visakha Utsav.It is for the first time that Visakhapatnam will be hosting the programme. Officials dub the move an attempt to woo tourists from across Andhra Pradesh and other neighbouring states. As part of the event, tourists can book yachts online for sea trips.

“As per the plan, 25 to 30 yachts will be engaged during the event. Tourists can go for sea trips during the day and several fun-filled activities would be waiting for them in the city in the evening,” collector Pravin Kumar said. Tourism officials said that an estimated `3 crore would be spent to organise the ‘Yacht Pentagonal’  and discussions were underway to conduct it tentatively in December. “In all likelihood, It will be a five-day event. Soon, the details will be announced,” said a tourism official. Following the instructions from the government, the district tourism department has planned a series of tourism festivals between October and January-end. 

Among the events, a two-day musical event ‘Sounds on the Clouds of Vizag’ has been proposed by bringing top musicians to one platform. It is tentatively planned in September last week. “A seven-day Cooking Olympiad has also been planned to promote local food in January next year. Similarly, horse racing will be organised only for entertainment purpose on the beaches as part of the four-day 1,000 Hooves & Sand Marathon,” he said

VISAKHAPATNAM: Super luxury yacht cruises would be the latest attraction to add to the Vizag tourism circuit , if all goes according to the plan, from October.The city of destiny is already the top tourist destination of the state and also attracts a large number of budget tourists from Odisha, Bengal etc. “We are in discussions with the port authorities. Once we have all the approvals and registrations in place, which I think would take a month or so, we plan to start the yachting services sometime in October,” said Samit Garg, CEO of E-Factor. “We would begin with two yachts and plan to gradually expand based on the reception.”Sunrise cruise, leisure idling on sea, cruise to places like Bheemili and even Puri are some of the options of yachting from Vizag being deliberated, Garg says.District tourism officials said that they are unaware of the negotiations between the VPT and the yachting companies, but maintained that yachts berthed here would add allure to Vizag tourism scene. The Andhra Pradesh government is now keen on placing Vizag on the global tourist map by promoting luxury and leisure tourism, targeting the high-end vacationers.Towards this end, the state tourism officials had even organised a yacht festival at Vizag this year in March with an estimated budget of Rs 3 crore to “position Vizag as the holiday destination befitting the yachting enthusiasts.”Despite the event receiving a tepid response in terms of bookings, plans were afoot to have a few yachts permanently stationed at Vizag shore.“Two companies have come forward to operate two yachts each from October.

విశాఖ : జిల్లాలోని ఫిషింగ్‌ హార్బర్‌కు చెందిన ఓ బోటులో ఐదుగురు మత్స్యకారులు వేటకు బయలుదేరి వెళ్లారు.

విశాఖ : జిల్లాలోని ఫిషింగ్‌ హార్బర్‌ నుంచి వాసుపల్లి అప్పయ్యమ్మకు చెందిన ఓ బోటులో ఐదుగురు మత్స్యకారులు వేటకు బయలుదేరి వెళ్లారు. తీరానికి 35 మైళ్ల దూరంలో వెళ్లగానే బోటులో అకస్మాత్తుగా మంటలు చెలరేగాయి. ఇంజిన్‌ నుంచి ఒక్కసారిగా మంటలు వ్యాపించి బోటు పూర్తిగా దగ్ధమైంది. బోటులో ఉన్న ఐదుగురు మత్స్యకారులు సముద్రంలోకి దూకారు. ఇది గమనించిన కోస్ట్‌గార్డు సిబ్బంది వారిని రక్షించి మరో బోటులో ఎక్కించి తీరానికి చేర్చారు. ప్రమాదానికి గురైన బోటు విలువ సుమారు రూ.35 లక్షలు ఉంటుందని మత్స్యకారులు తెలిపారు.

ప్రమాదంపై ఆరా తీసిన మంత్రి అచ్చెన్నాయుడు

సముద్రంలో చేపల వేటకు వెళ్లిన బోటు ప్రమాదంపై రాష్ట్ర వ్యవసాయ, మత్స్య శాఖ మంత్రి అచ్చెన్నాయుడు ఆరా తీశారు. మత్స్యకారుల పరిస్థితిపై అధికారులను అడిగి తెలుసుకున్నారు. ఐదుగురు మత్స్యకారులు సురక్షితంగా ఉన్నారని విశాఖ మత్స్య శాఖ అధికారిణి విజయ మంత్రికి వివరించారు. రూ.35 లక్షల మేర ఆస్తి నష్టం జరిగిందని మత్స్య శాఖ అధికారులు తెలిపారు. ప్రమాదాలు జరగకుండా తీసుకోవాల్సిన జాగ్రత్తలపై మత్స్యకారులకు అవగాహన పెంచాలని మంత్రి  సూచించారు.

Visakha Boat Accident : విశాఖ ఫిషింగ్ హార్బర్ కు చెందిన మత్స్యకార బోటులో అగ్ని ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. సముద్రంలో వేటకు వెళ్లిన బోటులో ఒక్కసారి మంటలు చెలరేగి పూర్తిగా వ్యాపించాయి. మత్స్యకారులు సముద్రంలోకి దూకగా, సమీపంలోని మరో బోటు సిబ్బంది గమనించి వారిని రక్షించారు.

Visakha Boat Accident : విశాఖ లో మత్స్యకారులకు పెను ప్రమాదం తప్పింది. సముద్రంలో వేటకు వెళ్లిన ఫిషింగ్ బోటులో ఒక్కసారిగా మంటలకు చెలరేగాయి. ఇంజిన్ లో ఏర్పడిన మంటలు బోటు మొత్తం వ్యాపించాయి. ఆ సమయంలో మరో ఫిషింగ్ బోటు దగ్గరలో ఉండటంతో ఐదుగురు మత్స్యకారులు ప్రాణాలతో బయటపడ్డారు. సుమారు రూ.40 లక్షలు వరకు నష్టం జరిగిందని మత్స్యకారులు వాపోతున్నారు.

మత్స్యకార బోటులో అగ్ని ప్రమాదం

విశాఖ ఫిషింగ్ హార్బర్ కు చెందిన బోటు వేటకు వెళ్లి అగ్నిప్రమాదంలో చిక్కుకుంది. సముద్రంలో వేటకు వెళ్లిన బోటులో అకస్మాత్తుగా మంటలు చెలరేగాయి. ఐదుగురు మత్స్యకారులతో బయల్దేరిన బోటు సముద్రంలోకి వెళ్లగానే మంటలు వ్యాపించాయి. అగ్ని ప్రమాదానికి గురైన బోటులో ఐదుగురు మత్స్యకారులు ఉన్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. మత్స్యకారులు వెంటనే సమీపంలోని బోట్లకు సమాచారం అందించారు. ఆదివారం మధ్యాహ్నం సుమారు 12 గంటల సమయంలో ఈ ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. ప్రమాదం జరిగిన బోటుకు సమీపంలో మరో బోటు ఉండడంతో మత్స్యకారులు ప్రాణాలతో బయటపడ్డారు.

విశాఖ ఫిషింగ్ హార్బర్ నుంచి ఆదివారం ఉదయం చేపల వేటకు వెళ్లిన బోటు సుమారు 10 నాటికల్ మైళ్ల దూరంలో అనుకోకుండా అగ్ని ప్రమాదానికి గురైంది. ఈ బోటులోని ఐదుగురు మత్స్యకారులు సముద్రంలోకి దూకి ప్రాణాలు రక్షించుకున్నారు. వీరిని సమీపంలోని మరో బోటు సిబ్బంది గుర్తించి రక్షించారు.

విశాఖ తప్పిన పెను ప్రమాదం. సముద్రంలో వేటకు వెళ్లిన ఫిషింగ్ బోటు మంటలకు దగ్ధం. ఇంజిన్ లో ఏర్పడిన మంటలు పూర్తిగా బోటుకు వ్యాపించడంతో పూర్తిగా దగ్దమైన బోటు.ఆ సమయంలో మరో ఫిషింగ్ బోటు దగ్గరలో ఉండటంతో 5 గురు క్షేమం బోటులో వేటకు వెళ్లిన 5 గురు క్షేమం. సుమారు 40 లక్షలు వరకు నష్టం.. pic.twitter.com/QeBenCj7Nq — KOPPISETTI PRASAD (@koppisetti99) September 15, 2024

బోటు ప్రమాదంపై మంత్రి అచ్చెన్నాయుడు ఆరా తీశారు. మత్స్యకారుల పరిస్థితిని అడిగి తెలుసుకున్నారు. ఐదుగురు మత్స్యకారులు సురక్షితంగా ఉన్నారని విశాఖ మత్స్యశాఖ అధికారి మంత్రికి తెలియజేశారు. ప్రమాదాలు జరగకుండా తీసుకోవాల్సిన జాగ్రత్తలపై మత్స్యకారులకు అవగాహన కల్పించాలని అధికారులను మంత్రి అచ్చెన్నాయుడు ఆదేశించారు.

విశాఖ కంటైనర్ టెర్మినల్ లో స్వల్ప అగ్ని ప్రమాదం

విశాఖ లోని కంటైనర్ టెర్మినల్‌లో శనివారం స్వల్ప అగ్ని ప్రమాదం చోటుచేసుకుంది. చైనా నుంచి లిథియం బ్యాటరీలతో వచ్చిన కంటైనర్‌లో మంటలు వ్యాపించాయి. దట్టమైన పొగతో మంటలు చెలరేగడంతో అగ్నిమాపక సిబ్బంది మంటలను అదుపుచేశారు. శనివారం ఉదయం 11 గంటల సమయంలో ఈ ఘటన జరిగింది. గత నెలలో చైనా నుంచి వచ్చిన కంటైనర్ కోల్‌కతాకు వెళ్లాల్సి ఉంది. దానిని ట్రాలర్‌పై లోడ్ చేసిన సమయంలో మంటలు చెలరేగాయి. ఈ ప్రమాదానికి గల కారణాలపై పోర్టు సిబ్బంది అంతర్గత విచారణ చేపట్టింది. ఈ కంటైనర్‌లో లిథియం బ్యాటరీలు ఉన్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.

విశాఖ కంటైనర్ టెర్మినల్ లో ప్రమాదం జరిగిన ప్రాంతానికి సమీపంలో రజనీకాంత్ సినిమా షూటింగ్ జరుగుతున్నట్లు సమాచారం. ఈ అగ్నిప్రమాదంతో వెంటనే చిత్ర యూనిట్ అప్రమత్తమై అక్కడి నుంచి తరలివెళ్లినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. గత 10 రోజులుగా రజనీకాంత్ కూలీ సినిమా షూటింగ్ విశాఖలోని కంటైనర్ టెర్మినల్ లో జరుగుతోంది.
