Indigo Plantation Marina

Play in the heart of downtown baltimore, marina info.

Tucked into a quiet corner of idyllic Southport, N.C., Indigo Plantation Marina is the homeport of the Indigo Plantation Yacht Club. Strategically located along the ICW, near the confluence of the Cape Fear River and Atlantic Ocean, the two acre faciility is a well protected, ice-free basin offering a seven foot draft at MLW. Slips range in size from 20 feet to 50 feet and transient dockage is available for yachts up to 70 feet. Electric hook-ups provide 30 and 50 amp power. Slip rentals are available on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. Restrooms, showers and laundry facilities are located on site.

Transient Rates: $1.10 per boat foot per night plus small charge for electric. Please call for monthly and annual slip rates.

This marina does not require a credit card to hold the slip or any type of deposit. As a courtesy please notify the marina if you need to cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance.

Deep Point Marina

The modern 82-slip Deep Point Marina located along the Cape Fear River in Southport offers comfortable dockage for both large and small vessels, along with easy ocean, ICW and river access.

The marina is adjacent to the Bald Head Island Mainland Ferry Terminal, which houses a snack bar (open seasonally) and restrooms. A harbormaster building offering laundry facilities, showers and a convenience store is located harborside.

Overnight rates are $2.00 per foot, with a 24’ minimum. Electricity is additional: 30 amp $5 per day; 50 amp $7.50 per day; 100 amp $15 per day.

Southport Yacht Club is hosting the Annual Marine Flea Market

May 11 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

On Saturday, May 11th, 2024 from 9:00 am – 3:00pm Southport Yacht Club is hosting the Annual Marine Flea Market at Morningstar Marina in Southport.

The event provides a great opportunity to sell unused and “gently” used boat and nautical items. All items must be marine related such as: boating supplies, nautical crafts and novelties. Sellers keep their sales.

Only $25 per booth space (tables and chairs not included). All booth rental proceeds will be donated to Sea Biscuit Wildlife Shelter. seabiscuitwildlifeshelter.org

In 1993, the Cape Fear Yacht Club (CFYC) established a premier Youth Sailing Program.

In collaboration and partnership with the Oak Island Parks and Recreation, the CFYC hosts the annual Summer Youth Sailing Camps.

Celebrating its 28th year, the Sailing Camp is the only on the water program in Brunswick County. In addition to having fun, the focus of this one-week course is learning the fundamentals of sailing, boating safety, proper sailing terminology, rigging, and how to skipper boats around Dutchmans Creak inlet and the Cape Fear River.

The Youth Sailing Camp Program consists of three individual weeks of single sailor Opti class sailboats and three individual weeks of the two sailor 420 class vessels. The 420s are often used in collegiate sailing programs across the country.

Sponsorship and fundraisers are integral to the success of the Youth Sailing Camp. The CFYC hosts an annual golf tournament fundraiser to support maintenance of the sailing fleet, compensate instructors, and provide additional amenities for sailors. All proceeds have a direct impact on cost reduction to young sailors across the community--who without the generous contributions of partners and sponsors would not be able to participate in the Sailing Camps.

Courses are available for beginner and intermedieate sailors agest 9 through 17.

The donations is $500 per foursome.

Most seminars have a dozen or so participants. This size class allows questions to turn into great conversation on the practical application of the topic at hand.
