At the center of all club activities is the beautiful clubhouse overlooking Manhasset Bay.
From the elegant dining room to the seaworthy Grill Room (which offers a more casual setting for food and drink), members enjoy upscale menu offerings in a gracious atmosphere. Special evenings include lobster night and other chef's choice events that combine culinary variety with member camaraderie. During the summer months, our North patio and bar offers alfresco dining and is also the site of club barbecues and the best sunset on the north shore. Located upstairs with a commanding view of the bay, the Commodores’ Lounge provides an intimate and spectacular setting for cocktails, dining and special occasions. Adjacent to the pool is our Sunset Grill, which is open every day during the summer season. The Port Washington Yacht Club is a private club for members and their guests only. Visiting yachtsmen from other yacht clubs with reciprocal privileges are also welcome.

I was the photographer for a wedding at the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club a few weeks ago. What a REMARKABLE place it was to get married! I was completely blown away by how nice the staff was, how beautiful the location, and how wonderful the venue itself was. I loved that my clients were able to get married overlooking the water, and that there were so many tremendous places to take portraits. I recommend this place HIGHLY to anyone looking to get married in Port Washington!

Membership Benefits
The Manhasset Bay Yacht Club is a premier destination for families seeking an exclusive waterfront experience. Our classic federal-style clubhouse, situated in a prime location, offers a variety of benefits and activities for members to enjoy.
Members can relax and socialize in the comfortable rooms for social occasions, as well as the inviting inn rooms available for guests. With over 100 years of history as a leader in the yachting world, Manhasset Bay Yacht Club is the perfect place for families to indulge in sailing, swimming, tennis, and fine dining in The Grill Room, Bay Room, Lower, and Upper Terraces.
We offer a broad range of activities for members of all ages, including children's programs such as the Spinnaker Program and Junior Sailing and Tennis. The Spinnaker Program is designed for children aged 5 to 9, featuring sailing, swimming, tennis, arts, and crafts. The Junior Sailing Program (8 weeks) combines sailing, tennis, and swim team participation for children aged 9 to 18, competing against neighboring clubs.
Adult members wishing to learn to sail can join our Ideal 18 program at a modest fee, with instructions available. Members reserve sail time and can sail single-handedly or with a crew of up to four. Adult sailing includes the Manhasset Bay One Design Fleet, the Sonar Fleet, as well as the Ideal 18s. Competitive racing occurs each weekend, and regattas and special events are scheduled throughout the late spring and summer and into the fall.
Other activities include the heated pool (open until the end of September), tennis (5 har-tru courts), and paddle tennis. We also feature wine tastings, cooking lessons, and a lecture series where artists and authors talk about their work. Children can enjoy parties like the Halloween Party, Brunch with Santa, and the Easter Egg Hunt. Adult members can participate in special evening events, like Raft Up at the dock, followed by dinner and dancing poolside.
The Women's Committee hosts luncheons, dinners, and holiday boutiques, and members can also use the Club for special occasions like weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries. Our winter activities include Frostbite sailing on Sunday afternoons and Trap Shooting on Saturday mornings, as well as Paddle Tennis teams and intraclub play running from October through April.
