Gwyneth paltrow and family enjoy silolona charter yacht.

INSIDE SCOOP: Gwyneth Paltrow Shares Her Family’s Indonesia Yacht Vacation Photo Album

Three’s company!

Not content with just being a guest on board Steven Spielberg ‘s huge yacht Seven Seas , Gwyneth Paltrow recently   went on vacation with her two kids on board the beautiful  sailing yacht Silolona .

Sharing snaps of her trip, it looks like Gwyneth loved her time in Indonesia – water skiing, hiking, canoeing and enjoying delicious traditionally-made dishes.

Commenting that the trip was ‘dream come true’ experience, particularly special moments the family enjoyed (minus Chris Martin ) were seeing wild Komodo dragons, swimming with sea turtles and experiencing local life.

She wrote on her blog, ‘We sailed a little corner of the Indonesian archipelago, which is comprised of over 17,000 islands, over the course of four days’, wrote the Shakespeare in Love actress, who also shared anecdotes on the islands and local history.

The boat, Silolona, was originally designed to look like the traditional Indonesian trade boats that sailed along the historical Spice Routes.

Stops were made at deserted islands such as Loh Buaya and Banta, where the environmentally-conscious crew – along with Gwyneth and Apple, 9, and Moses, 7 – ‘would all spend 20 minutes picking up the debris that had washed up on shore.’

The trio also learned how to make lanterns from the washed up glass bottles, ‘by filling them with kerosene and making a homemade wick’, which they then dotted around the beach to create a magical setting by night.

The actress turned foodie and writer of her cookbook entitled  It’s All Good , enjoyed several locally cooked delights on beach barbecues, as well as local fresh produce aboard the magnificent vessel. Gwyneth wrote on her blog, ‘We built a fire and watched in awe as the chef cooked a gorgeous traditional Indonesian barbecue of fish, chicken and vegetables.’

Silolona has weekly rates that start at a cool $119,000 – not bad Gwyneth!

Yacht roxane – lewis hamilton.

Formula 1 racing champion Lewis Hamilton was spotted recently on board the stunning sailing yacht Roxane. Hamilton shared photographs on social media of himself along with a group of friends chilling out on the sun deck and reclining on the boom. Sleeping up to 9 guests in four contemporary, luxurious cabins, Roxane is a firm favourite with celebrities from around the world. Each cabin has ample storage, walk in closets and en suite shower rooms. This elegant 46m vessel was built in wood by the Turkish shipyard Su Marine and features naval architecture by Taka Yachts. She offers the perfect fusion of traditional wood combined with the latest technology. Sleeping up to 12 people in eight beautiful cabins, Ellie Goulding certainly had sufficient space to entertain her family or friends. The owner’s suite takes up the whole of the upper deck with a master bedroom, two bathrooms, lounge, office, walk-in wardrobe and private outdoor area. One of Kourtney Kardashian’s favourite superyachts to charter is Sealyon. This stylish, sophisticated and elegant vessel is 61.8m in length and provided the perfect floating home when Kourtney sailed to the Med. Her family joined her before cruising to Capri, Monaco, Capri and around Portofino. Traditional and modern, Sealyon is a multi-award winning yacht that has elegant, simple lines. Beyonce, her partner Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy spent time on board the charter yacht Halo just recently. The party had great fun with Beyonce taking her skills one step further by jumping from the top deck into the warm Sardinian sea. The 57.45m Halo is radical in design and a unique vision when out on the ocean waves. This outstanding superyacht was specifically designed to sail around the world with a range of 5000 nautical miles. She cruises effortlessly at 16 knots, is comfortable and above all, supremely luxurious. Six state rooms can accommodate up to 12 guests and all are beautifully furnished. The interior of Halo is light with oak, dark wood and bronze inlays all set in a very modern style. Guest rooms as well as the owner’s state room are situated on the main deck with amazing views through any of the windows. A VIP state room is located on the bridge deck and finished off to perfection. The exterior of the Halo has dark window bands in grey Awlgrip Mocca which combine the side deck windows. Metallic arches run from the bridge, up and over the sun deck, creating a sun deck roof. This sun deck is very big and is extended 5m further forward. A dark grey Jacuzzi takes centre stage here and can be covered by a carbon fibre sun awning if needed. Perfect for someone as famous as Beyonce!

Yacht Mischief - Will Smith

Mischief is her name and Will Smith, actor, singer and producer took the opportunity to charter this luxury yacht with his family. This stunning, elegant superyacht was Will’s choice for a vacation on the Amalfi Coast where he was joined by the actor Denzel Washington. Smith’s family enjoyed every moment on board the 52.4m Baglietto vessel. The yacht has a blue hull and was refitted with improvements being made to the interior and water toy box! The sun deck is absolutely out of this world with a huge spa pool situated close to the very large sun pads. Will was guaranteed a great service from the crew of thirteen who went out of their way for this very special guest. There was plenty of fun too when the party took to the waters using the on-board jet boots, jet skis and tenders. The children and adults may also have used the wake boards, fishing equipment, snorkelling gear along with the two stand up paddle boards too. Not far from the surface of the water is a sunbathing area with day beds as well as four floating large pontoons actually in the water. Smith and Co plus friends chartered this beautiful vessel and it’s available for you too.

Yacht Ascari - Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed a relaxing break on the 36.5m Ascari. He chartered it to the Balearics taking in the sun, sea and the pristine white beaches. The time on board prepared him for the European Championships and helped him chill out while enjoying life at sea. The Ascari underwent a major refit in 2015 and has many sporty features which suited Ronaldo perfectly. It’s also a party yacht so there would have been plenty of champagne flowing along with delicious food being served throughout the day and evening. The interior of this beautiful vessel is quite outstanding with large windows that bring the outdoors inside. Yacht Fathom - Lindsay Lohan

American actress and singer, Lindsay Lohan took to the charter waters on board the 45m superyacht, Fathom. Lindsay enjoys luxury yacht charter vacations as much as anyone and has visited the French Riviera on board this beautiful vessel just recently. She likes to keep in shape too so with Fathom being fully equipped with a cross trainer, free weights and a treadmill, Lindsay was in seventh heaven. With her interior designed by Mark Zeff, Fathom oozes charm, elegance and style. Decks have been created using old-growth plantation teak so take on a smooth finish if you’re walking bare foot. Fathom has a bespoke appearance with a sculpted all-steel hull which looks divine when sailing on the high seas. Yacht Rising Sun - Juliette Lewis and Leonardo DiCaprio

Juliette Lewis and Leonardo DiCaprio were spotted on board the superyacht Rising Sun enjoying some relaxing moments together. The 138m vessel has also been chartered by Orlando Bloom, the famous actor known for his swashbuckling role in The Pirates of the Caribbean. Celebrities just love this sleek, elegant yacht that has 45 crew to look after a maximum of 18 guests. The service they receive is second to none with their every whim being well catered for. Custom built in 2004 by Lurssen Yachts, the interior was designed by Seccombe Design. Rising Sun had a refit in 2007 to make her even more enticing to world-famous celebrities. She is capable of 28 knots flat out and has a cruising speed of 26 knots. As the eleventh largest yacht in the world, one thing this vessel doesn’t lack is space. There’s plenty of room on board to find those private moments or to socialise with family or friends. Rising Sun can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests in nine cabins. One of Justin’s major hits was called “Never Say Never” although in fact he was just spending some private time on this charter yacht. One model who is definitely no stranger at being spotted on a superyacht is Naomi Campbell. Indeed, one of her favourite yachts to charter is the Galaxy. This stylish 56m Benetti superyacht has also attracted a whole host of music stars too like Jay Z, Rhianna and Beyonce. No expense has been spared on the Galaxy’s recent extensive refit. One of the reasons why celebs just love to charter Galaxy is her styling and artistic interior. There’s even an original Andy Warhol painting in the owner’s study and a David Lachapelle Pop Art image hanging in the elevator foyer. What could be more interesting than quirky sketches by Jean-Michel Basquiat which are placed strategically around the yacht? This superyacht really is in mint condition especially with her original works of modern art. Galaxy offers relaxed vibes for families and friends as well as being a chic party vessel for high profile events. Comfort is the key with large white sofas and a huge TV screen in the sky lounge, perfect for curling up and watching a movie. Yacht Topaz - Leonardo DiCaprio

Star of the film “Wolf of Wall Street”, Leonardo DiCaprio is no stranger to the joys of chartering a superyacht. Back in 2014 he enjoyed the World Cup in Brazil on board the glamorous 147m mega yacht Topaz. Topaz really stands out with her futuristic and functional design. It’s one of the most luxurious, largest and most comfortable superyachts in the world. She’s equipped with facilities celebrities love like the gym, swimming pool, hot tubs and a personal movie theatre. Jacuzzis are on the aft deck next to the pool which at night are illuminated by coloured light beams through a system of underwater lighting. There’s also a conference room as well as two heliports on board. Topaz can provide fantastic accommodation for up to an impressive 64 guests although apparently, Leo only invited 21. This prestigious yacht is owned by the Manchester City Football Club owner, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Topaz is one of the most expensive yachts to charter and with good reason. The interior was custom-designed by Terence Disdale and the exterior by the renowned team of Tim Heywood Design. Skilfully built by engineers from Lurssen Yachts Shipyard in Bremen-Vegesack, Germany, Topaz certainly lives up to her lavish reputation.

Yacht Andreas L - Cara Delevingne / Rihanna

When you’re a rich celeb you certainly want a high-profile vacation with a difference. With this in mind Cara Delevingne, the top model, and her friend the singer Rihanna enjoyed a vacation on the superyacht Andreas L recently. This magnificent 60m motor-yacht built by Benetti has many endearing and stylish features. There’s a huge sundeck, lots of sunbathing areas and a Jacuzzi. Celebrities love the massage room located on the bridge deck where they can enjoy full or half body massages, facials as well as reflexology treatments. To keep fit while on vacation the on-board gym has state-of-the-art facilities, perfect for celebs to stay trim. The spacious and contemporary interior is complimented by clear lines throughout. Yacht Serene - Bill Gates

The philanthropist and Microsoft founder Bill Gates chartered the superyacht Serene to the coast of Sardinia a few years ago. Built in 2011 this 134m motor yacht by Fincantieri was awarded a top spot at the World Superyacht Awards in 2012. Launched in 2011 by Fincantieri Yachts this elegant vessel’s exterior design and engineering feats are the work of Espen Oeino. The interior features styling by Reymond Langton Design. Considered to be one of the most technically advanced yachts constructed, she is fully equipped with stabilisers, thrusters and has a cruising speed of 15 knots. This fine vessel has seven decks with a generous beam of 18.5m. She also has two helicopter landing platforms, storage for a large submarine and a huge internal sea-water pool. This can be adapted for tender docking. The 134m motor yacht has 12 state rooms. She can accommodate up to 24 guests and carry a crew of up to 52. Gwyneth Paltrow recommends pricey holiday to fans

Gwyneth Paltrow has recommended a $113,000 holiday to fans.

The actress seemed oblivious to the ludicrous price tag as she posted pictures of the Indonesian break - which would take place on a Silolona yacht, and advertised at the huge sum on charterbrochure.com - on her newsletter 'Goop'.

The 36-year-old gushed about her luxury yacht boasting a full cinema and 11-man crew.

She wrote: "Our amazing boat was designed after traditional Indonesian trade boats that sailed along the historical Spice Routes ... the food on the boat was beyond. Everything was super fresh, with the fish and produce usually picked up from an island the same day."

The Hollywood star also posted a photo of her chef cooking in the yacht's kitchen along with the caption: "You better like your sous chef in a kitchen this small."

Paltrow - who has two children, Apple, nine, and son Moses, seven, with her husband Chris Martin - sailed along the archipelago comprising over 17,000 islands across four days and posted recipes for her fans to try, all involving rare ingredients such as tamarind paste and galangal.

Paltrow's pricey lifestyle tips received backlash on Twitter from angry readers.

Neva wrote: "Oh, going to Indonesia? Pfft. Been there 75 times. Stayed in a castle and wore a tiara at all times.”

User Kiki B tweeted: "Really, Gwyneth? Sail around the Indonesian archipelago, you say? Why didn't I think of that?! #goop #schmoop.”

Silolona Leads New Life: Yacht Style Charter Issue 2020

Pioneer of Indonesia’s luxury charter industry, the 50m Silolona is embarking on the 2020-21 charter season with a new lease of life after emerging from a refit in May.

Turning sweet 16 in July, a revitalised Silolona is primed and ready for the 2020-21 charter season in Indonesia, having completed an extensive refit in Bali in May.

  The first of Indonesia’s growing fleet of luxury phinisis, Silolona traditionally embarks on a major refit about every five years. And Caroline Payen, Silolona Sojourns’ Yacht Charter Manager, says the 164-footer now looks as fresh as the day she was launched by the Konjo Boat Builders in Sulawesi in July 2004.

“This time, Silolona is like a new phinisi,” Payen says. “A lot of woodwork was processed while keeping the unique Silolona style.”

The 50m Silolona , and her younger 40m sister Si Datu Bua have since been chartering in and around Komodo and neighbouring Flores, where they’ll remain through August. In September, they’ll travel east through the historic Banda ‘Spice Islands’ before heading north to West Papua to explore Raja Ampat and Cenderawasih Bay.

After spending October to May around the country’s most easterly province, the yachts make their way back via the Banda Islands to Komodo for the May-August season.

“The Komodo islands are the natural habitat of the Komodo dragon and a World Heritage Site, and offer world-class diving, deserted pink-sand beaches, while the Flores archipelago has ancient cultures, textiles, world-class diving and scenic volcanoes,” Payen says.

“The beautiful Banda islands have amazing history and stately old Dutch mansions, and are the native home of nutmeg, hence the ‘Spice Islands’. Raja Ampat offers world-class diving and snorkelling in pristine seas, Asmat (West Papua) features ancient tribal customs and powerful art, and guests can swim with whale sharks in Cenderawasih Bay.”

Like most large charter yachts in Indonesia, both Silolona and Si Datu Bua are fully equipped for diving, one of the key activities in a country boasting some of the world’s most diverse marine life. Itineraries are tailored by the Silolona Sojourns team headed by CEO Tresno Seery, son of founder Patti Seery and a naval architect who designed Si Datu Bua .

“ Lamima  is one of our yachts that offer exciting all-inclusive packages, which are very interesting for guests as they include a vast array of activities and a true immersion in nature,” says Carmen Lau, C&N’s Business Development Director Asia. “Activities can include diving, yoga, trekking on remote islands and much more.”

The 46m  Mutiara Laut  can also accommodate 14 guests in seven cabins and has a 14-strong crew headed by Captain Andi, who has been with the yacht since her launch in 2009, while the 26m Sequoia launched in 2017 has three cabins for six guests, plus 10 crew.

C&N is offering a 20 per cent discount on bookings made before August 31 on the 50m expedition yacht,  Kudanil Explorer . Built in 1978, the motor yacht had a spectacular refit for charter in 2018 that included the creation of eight 330sqft ensuite staterooms, each with a king-size bed and a private balcony with table and chairs.

Indonesia’s other iconic charter yachts include the 51m  Dunia Baru , the famed seven-cabin charter phinisi that has been meticulously maintained since its completion in early 2014.

More recent additions include the 55m  Prana by Atzaro  launched in 2018 by Yacht Sourcing. The Indonesia-based company is also the charter central agent for this expansive yacht, which has over 9,600sqft of usable space across four decks and a remarkable nine cabins.
