Located deep up the New River in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this hurricane protected port is the latest addition to the Westrec family of Marinas.  Featuring 55 side tie slips, the Marina can easily accommodate yachts to 130’ and surrounds the tropical uplands of Yacht Haven Resort Park.  One of the rare facilities in south Florida that can accommodate both luxury motorcoach and recreational vehicles to megayachts.  Keep all your toys in one place as in select areas you are able to park your RV next to your slip at the Resort Park, and still have plenty of room for your yacht’s crew support vehicle, motor bikes or other leisure gear.

Under new ownership in 2021, the property is currently in Phase 1 of $26 million in upgrades to the facilities and grounds which will culminate with installation of additional amenities for resort and marina patrons and their guests alike.   Centrally located, Yacht Haven is south Florida’s best kept secret.

Yacht Haven Park & Marina features 255 motorcoach sites, many with spectacular waterfront views, as well as a full-service marina that can accommodate vessels up to 130’.  Family and pet friendly you’ll find something for everyone!

Coordinates:

From the north or south – take I-95 to State Road 84, Marina Mile Blvd (exit 25) head west for approximately ½ mile the Marina entrance is on your right at Sidney Lane.

From the Fort Lauderdale International Airport,  exit the airport to US 1  (Federal Highway) north.  The second light is State Rd 84 (SE 24 th Street).  Make a left and proceed west for approximately 2 miles.  As you pass over I-95, SE 24 th Street becomes Marina Blvd.  The entrance to the marina is on your right at Sydney Lane.

Just north of Port Everglades Inlet, on the IntraCoastal Waterway,  merge onto the New River at Green Marker 21  keep Green Marker to your Port and Red Marker 20 and the seawall to your starboard as you merge onto the New River west bound.  Stay in the channel, proceed inland through downtown Fort Lauderdale.  Monitor outbound traffic.  You will clear 4 bridges.  Shortly after the fourth bridge (7 th Avenue) the New River splits.  To your right is the North Fork and to your left is the South fork.  Continue west on the South Fork, you will pass under the Davie Blvd Bridge, which is the last bridge before I-95 which is a fixed bridge with a 55’ vertical clearance.   Once you pass under this bridge, Yacht Haven is the second marina on your port side.

“Beautiful Resort Park”

We stayed 3 nights and loved everything about the park. The location is close to the beach and downtown area which is very nice. Restaurants and places to shop. The Resort has beautiful yachts parked We camped at Yacht Haven Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Hungary Dutchman food boat was really good for lunch. If you have a towed car thats good so you can check out other places to eat....

“Quiet and safe for area . ”

Astro turf made the place look nice. Pool and club house have not been rebuilt as of yet but is adequate. Roads dead end with not much room to turn a big rig around best to pre plan your exit. No We camped at Yacht Haven Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Lots of good restaurants around and in FLL area. Approaching from the west requires a u turn and back track on 84...

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean park and marina. AstroTurf instead of grass at a sites. All sites were very long with brick pavers. Friendly and hhelpfuk staff. They take you to your site We camped at Yacht Haven Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Had a wonderful week at the naval station in Key West. It only cost $40 per night. All amenities were available.

Hands down best location & customer service I have experienced. This place is absolutely gorgeous, the amenities and staff are top notch. The grounds and views of all the surrounding yachts are simply spectacular. Everything here is setup for convenience and comfort. I booked longer then my original reservation because I simply do not want to leave. 5 STARS !!

Clean, but tight, with a rookie staff

We had high hopes for this campground, as it is a few miles west of our house, and could be a convenient layover when traveling through town. We tried to make a reservation online, but there was some issue with the site, so we called. We explained that we were just overnighting, and didn’t care about water views or amenities. We also told them we were in a 45 foot fifth wheel. The process to make our reservation took 5 phone calls. Every call was like starting from scratch. On the fifth call, which was actually a callback from them, the agent told my wife that luckily, she was able to get us a water site. My wife explained that we didn’t care about a view, and just wanted easy access for our 45’ toy hauler. They went back and forth for a few minutes and finally settled on site 12. They were able to accommodate us for the night for the low price of $120, including tax and a $25 amenity fee.

We were caught in a few traffic jams on the way in, and ended up arriving half an hour after sunset. We were greeted by an armed security guard who showed us on a map where site 110 (our new waterfront site) was. I asked whether I would be able to turn around at the loop at the end of the road, as the site was angled to back in as you would leave rather than enter. He said maybe. I got to the site and realized it would be impossible to back in without dragging my 20,000 pound camper through their grass, so I went to the end of the street to turn around. There wasn’t adequate room to turn my truck around, let alone my camper, so we backed down the street, and proceeded to install some new ruts in the landscape around site 110.

In between the time we made our reservation, and arriving, we received at least 4 phone calls from the campground. One was asking us to text a picture of our rig to a random New York phone number, so they could show their security guy what our camper would look like. We thought this was odd. All of the rest, were to ask about the length of or rig. At one point, my wife asked the woman on the phone if she was sure our rig would fit, and what the actual length of the site was. The woman assured her that the site was “max 50 A-M-P.” My wife said she wasn’t asking about 50 amp electric service, but the length of our site. The women assured her that it was 50 A-M-P.

Turns out we should have been a little more concerned with the electric service, as they had given us a pull in site for a bus, and we were unable to hook up to sewer, and had to run our electric cable and water hose under the camper. Luckily we were able to reach.

Will we stay again? I really hope not. Even though it’s literally 10 minutes west of our house, and by far the most convenient location for us to stay, the park is too tight, and the staff too poorly trained to be tolerable. The spot was pretty, and the location for someone who is doing the tourist thing would be great. Shopping, the beach, and great restaurants are all nearby. We were swapping a few things between the camper and our house, so the location was good for us, but I will probably search for a better spot further from home next time we pass through.

Stayed the weekend for the Ft Lauderdale International boat show

Very tight parking and roads. The water pressure was terrible. The best part about the park is backing your RV up to the docks on the river and seeing all the boats go by at night.

Yacht Haven Marina is an excellent place to camp!

This park and the people who run it are awesome! If you camp on the canal, chances are you will be right next to some amazing yachts! 7 minutes to Ft Lauderdale Beach and 7 minutes the other way to Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hollywood! We will be going back!

FLORIDA IS OPEN AND CONTINUES TO BE THE BEST PLACE TO CAMP.

Hurricane Ian was a devastating storm and caused major flooding and severe damage along the coastal areas of Ft. Myers Beach, Captive and Sanibel Island and Estero Bay and Bonita Springs. Some RV parks received extensive damage and will be closed for an extended period of time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to these park owners, their staff, and their guests who’s lives and businesses have been temporarily devastated by this storm. We wish them the best as they rebuild.

Fortunately most of the parks in the SW Florida have re-opened and have power. Florida is a very large state with over 800 RV parks, and SW Florida has more RV parks than any other area of the state. Rest assured Florida is open for visitors and welcoming all RVers and campers.

The remodel that has been done over the last number of months is amazing. The front office staff is very helpful whether you are checking in with a RV or using one of the Marina slips, as we are using. It is fun watching all of the boats and yachts go by on the New river. 7 out of 5 stars.

I must say I love living here. I have been staying here for little over a month. The place is well kept. It's been the ni nicest place I've found down near Miami. Very centric to most shopping and to the expressway. I have been treated very well by Susan in the office and Gigi is amazing as well she's always around in her golf cart making sure all is in check. Love the spot in in now hopping I can have it permanently. A+ come check it out reserve a spot for you RV and enjoy the water front. We have already made friends, since everyone here is super friendly.

Perfect view and great fishing.

These people do not know how to run a business. I made a reservation last July, for Feb 26th. Starting on Feb 11th I started calling to confirm my reservation. I left 3 voicemails and 3 contact us messages on their website. I also inquired as to whether I could check in a day earlier. No one ever called me back. Never. Since you can't just show up in a place as busy as Fort Lauderdale in an RV with no reservation, I cancelled my trip. On Feb 28th, two days after I was scheduled to check in, they called me asking when I was going to show up. Really? Now they call me, not 2 weeks ago to confirm my reservation, but 2 days after my reservation was to start? What a bunch of idiots.

RENTER & VETERANS BEWARE ****We made a reservation at Yacht Haven on November 15, 2021. We spoke to the manager Donnie where we agreed on a month to month site rental. We anticipated staying through March of 2022 and we made an initial payment for our first month. Three weeks into our stay, our RV was sold and stepped into the office to cancel the month of December -March of 2022. To our surprise we were advised of their cancellation policy. The representative advised us that it was posted online. We have now learned that if you book online, you are required to acknowledge their cancellation policy. We did not book our reservation online nor were we notified when made the initial payment it person verbally or in writing. I was never instructed to visit their site. Additionally, the policy was not posted anywhere for consumers to read. Furthermore, when we advised that we would be leaving the premises, again, they failed to advise us of their supposed policy or give us an option. This is a clear case of consumer deception a clear violation of consumer laws. In addition, spaces are tight, not as described on site.

Already really disappointed...made a reservation here that was supposed to not be water front. arrived and they gave us a water front space and used that as an excuse to charge us WAY more than the agreed upon price. Spots where WAY too tight for our 5th wheeler. Staff was unhelpful and check in took nearly an hour. Told we could have both our cars but then upon arrival they charged us an extra $45 for our second vehicle! My husband went away for work for 3 nights and when he got back THEY HAD SHUT OFF HIS GATE PASS BECAUSE IT HADNT BEEN USED! Very frustrating when you are willing to pay to be somewhere nice and they are constantly changing their answers on things....

So we decided to give another try after 2 yrs when we had such a rude treatment from the front desk employees ... well... this place still the same shit . So we got hit with a "electric fee" as we check in . BTW ... in the past we NEVER HAD TO PAY THIS FEE and the money is not a problem , what's a problem is not to be honest with your customer . Website .... NOT UPDATED .... we called many times ... nothing was mention... then u check in and they tell u about the "adicional fee " again ... it's not about the money is about the transparency to your customers. BTW ... no matter how many bad review u put online , same employees still rude and give u the worse attitude ever . WHAT A SHAME .

What a weird place. We had two reservations there - one on our trip to the Keys and one for the return trip. We cancelled the return trip as I couldn't face the place twice. For a single night stay they wanted a copy of registration AND insurance (nope) AND $50 (cash only!) deposit for a gate card as we were going to be out after 5pm, but it turned out that the gate was always open so what was the point?? Once inside the sites are REALLY close together and we were dumped right at the back (why do they make overnighters pass ALL THE WAY THROUGH the place??). A walk around showed the stark contrast between the haves and the have-nots. At the Marina - beautiful boats that must easily cost $1m+ and in the RV park, RVs that would *definitely* not pass a 10 year rule. Our late night walk with our dogs had us pass what I'm sure was some shady activity going down and I felt truly unsafe. I was very uncomfortable overnight and didn't feel relaxed here at all. Not a place recommended by this family.

Don't waste your money. Unless you want to be able to reach out your window and eat off your neighbors table. VERY TIGHT lots. Narrow streets and people park everywhere. Had a lot of problems parking our 36' motor home between 2 other campers. "Waterfront" is a narrow Man made canal with a dock on both sides to accommodate the boats parked on the docks. Nasty neighbors mostly from Canada. They squeeze people in by having a hook up in the middle of lot, than the next lot has the hook up in the back. So one short, one long camper. We could not even open our awning without hitting the neighbors, AND we were 2 " from the electric box with the slider out on the other side. Pool too small for the amount of campers. We will never be back

Terrible rv park. Run down and overpriced. They copy your registration and insurance information and refuse to give it back the copies when you leave. You also have to give them $50 cash to get a fob to enter.

This RV park and marina is set up well and reasonably priced. Office staff was very helpful and accommodating as we arrived on Christmas Day. The lots are a little close for my liking and they could use some more foliage for privacy. Rocks instead of grass would help the dog land mines found throughout. We are very happy with our choice of lot away from the pool and along the waterfront. Boat parade all day yay!

TRAVEL TRAILERS

If your rig is no more than 10 years old and free from dents, scratches, rust, or other damage, we’ll welcome you sight unseen. However, we also know that the age of your rig is not an indication of how much you love it! So, if your rig is more than 10 years old, we simply ask that you upload a few photos at [email protected] to ensure it’s in great shape. If it is, we can’t wait to see your retro beauty at Yacht Haven.
