YAS yacht interior
The interior of the YAS yacht was designed by Pierrejean, a French design, and architecture studio specializing in luxury aircraft and ship design.
The yacht can welcome up to 60 guests, which is impressive and rare in the superyacht industry. 56 crew members find space below the deck.
The interior of the yacht features glass elevators, a spa, a gym, and highly futuristic design elements.
The large glass dome at the front of the vessel houses the owner’s suite, which has an oval shape and is completed by a round bed.
Of course, the YAS yacht has a state-of-the-art entertainment system and is furnished using only the most high-quality materials.
Specifications
YAS is a converted Dutch navy ship that was originally constructed in 1977 and served in the military for 20 years.
At the time, she was named HNLMS Piet Hein and only measured 135 meters (442 ft).
She was eventually sold to the UAE military, where she served until 2006 and converted into a superyacht at ADM Shipyards.
YAS has little resemblance with a warship today, but she has kept her agility and speed. Despite her size, she can reach top speeds of 30 knots and sails comfortably at average speeds of 25 knots.
She was a beam of 14.4 meters (47.3 ft) and a draft of 4.75 meters (15.7 ft). Her total weight lies at 5,002 tons which can be attributed to her impressive steel hull.
She was recently refitted in Germany and relaunched in 2021.
YAS is an unusual yacht in many ways. Both her interior and exterior were designed by the French studio Pierrejean and she is said to have been modeled to resemble a dolphin with her immense glass superstructure.
She is a very long yacht with an aerodynamic shape that allows her to retain speed while still looking elegant and luxurious.
YAS has a helipad, spacious storage for water toys, and, of course, several pools on board for the enjoyment of the guests.
The original price for YAS is estimated to lie close to US $180 million, although she has since been refit which suggests that her current value might lie closer to US $200 million.

Motor Yacht
The 141m superyacht Swift141, christened 'Yas', was successfully launched by ADMShipyards in November 2011; entering the record books as both the largest launch of 2011 and most significant superyacht in recent history.
Yas’s distinctive narrow profile was built on the steel hull of a former Royal Dutch Navy Frigate built in 1978. Her frigate hull and lightweight composite superstructure help to enable the enormous vessel to reach impressive speeds of up to 26 knots. Yas was styled inside and out by Pierrejean Design in Paris, with a strikingly graceful exterior of fluid curves and volumes, and a spectacular structural covering of glass.
Streamlined elegance is what characterises her overarching design. Ever inspired by the fluidity of water mixed with the natural inhabitants of the sea, every individual PierreJean yacht project indicates a unique and aesthetic reference.
She can comfortably accommodate up to 60 guests while modern diesel power and variable-pitch propellers assure a top speed of 26 knots, cruising speed of 20 knots, transoceanic range, and “green” fuel economy. In anticipation of her unusual speed for a yacht of this size, the project was first appropriately named “Swift141.”

First photos of dolphin-inspired superyacht Yas underway
After her completion earlier this year, the first photos of head-turning 141 metre superyacht Yas have emerged as she cruises in the Mediterranean. Yas is the eighth largest yacht in the world .
The completion of Yas was a long time coming. Superyacht Yas , formerly project Swift, was launched by ADM Shipyards in November 2011. The conversion project was a massive undertaking to transform the 135-metre military vessel – a 1977 Dutch-built navy frigate – into the glass covered superyacht that is now Yas .
French designer Jacques Pierrejean of Pierrejean Design Studio proposed a "dolphin shape" for the design, which he described as being incredibly sleek and "in a class by itself." With the extensive use of glass on the superstructure and porpoise profile inspiration, shown in the photo above, Yas certainly stands out from the pack.
Shot as Yas cruises the French Riviera, the aerial photo also shows off the yacht’s massive helicopter deck , birds-eye-view spa tub and undeniably unusual exterior design.
The photo below of Yas ’ stern, shot a few days before in Gibraltar, gives a glimpse of the superyacht’s slim stern, spiralling central aft staircase and waterfall flowing into the swimming pool on the rear of the aft deck.
Greenline Yacht Interiors announced in March this year that it successfully completed the interior outfitting for superyacht Yas .
With a new agreement signed in 2013, the UAE-based design house took on work beyond its original scope and was further commissioned to complete work previously begun by other subcontractors. This called for Greenline to deliver the full interior outfitting on the 141-metre superyacht Yas .
As shown in the rendering image below of Yas ' master stateroom, the interior benefits from this uniquely expansive glass design, which floods the room with unparalleled natural light. The interior outfitting by Greenline utilises technologically advanced standards and manufacturing methods and materials.
Greenline currently has other interesting interior projects underway at its facility, including the Andrew Winch designed Newcastle 177 expedition yacht, a Porsche designed RFF 135 Fast Catamaran series and for the 45 metre conversion of Samurai , at Royal Huisman .
Samir Badro, Greenline CEO and Chairman, says, "2014 has been a very productive year for us, we are currently working on several projects and are both glad and proud that the Yas project has now been successfully completed."
Yas will reportedly accommodate up to 60 guests in a thoroughly modern interior design. Among many special features of Yas are a helipad, a pool/spa aft deck and a state-of-the-art audio-visual entertainment system.
Performances were impressive when she was a frigate, and Yas should maintain them thanks to her narrow hull. Her twin MTU engines give a top speed of 26 knots, a cruising speed of 20 knots and transoceanic range.
