For the first time in nearly six years, the creators of the prestigious CABO Sportfishing Yacht present an all-new version, the CABO 41. Officially introduced in February, this beautifully designed, state-of-the-art watercraft is now touring the nation in grand style and will be available for showing and sea trials at Cape Yachts at South Wharf Yacht Yard Marina in Dartmouth, MA on July 3-12, 2019.

Spend a bit of your 4th of July weekend at the Cape Yachts Welcome Party and climb aboard the sleek and powerful CABO 41 Sportfishing Yacht for a closer look. Be sure to register for a sea trial or join us on one of several trips around Buzzard’s Bay and New England aboard the CABO 41. Experience the style, handling and versatility of CABO’s latest entry into the sportfishing market. We also welcome other CABO owners to join us as part of our welcome to the all new CABO.

Since their introduction in 1995, CABO has been a top brand for quality and reliability among inboard off-shore, express-style fishing boats. Going further, faster and staying longer comfortably in any conditions is the clear objective of the CABO design team. 

For the avid hard-core sportfishing devotee who also enjoys comfort and performance, the entry of the newly designed CABO 41 Sportfishing Yacht is excellent news.  

What Makes the CABO 41 Sportfishing Yacht So Special?

CABO 41 is manufactured by Hatteras/Cabo Yachts of New Bern, North Carolina. The design includes a broad range of standard and optional features to delight sportfishing enthusiasts.

Propulsion Features:

The CABO 41 Sportfish Yacht comes standard with Twin 626-horsepower Volvo Penta D11 engines. You may also select from among the Volvo 670 and 725-horsepower engines or a pair of Cummins QSM11s. According to the Volvo Penta engineers, the CABO 41 equipped with their 725-hp engines represents the “industry-leading power-to-weight ratio and best-in-class torque.” The result is faster acceleration while maneuvering easily at low RPMs. 

The CABO 41 Sportfish Yacht is capable of motoring from zero-to-30 mph in about 12 seconds and can maintain a top speed of over 40 mph at 2,400 rpm.

Protected on three sides by wrap-around tempered windshield glass, the entire bridge is well protected in all conditions.

Home port is calling., please complete the form below for more information., client feedback, we love to hear from you, perhaps the best location in new england with easy access to everything from cape cod, the islands and newport. dartmouth is ma’s best kept secret sea town. good people, fast service and beautiful sunsets, we arrived with a small issue on our boat, their service department was able to take care of the problem same day. not to mention the amazing dockstaff to top it all off, honestly the nicest bathrooms and showers i have ever seen in a marina, we loved everything about south wharf. the staff were welcoming and helpful. the marina is clean, quiet and in a beautiful location. restrooms are deluxe, with laundry in the building., we spent 2 nights at a slip which were sublime by all accounts. from the moment we received our welcome introduction which was notably authentic, professional and courteous to the shove off and good wishes jilani, the dockmaster, brings a new level of service and hospitality which we appreciated so much., we love staying here. short walk to quaint village with beautiful homes and great places to eat. marina has all of the amenities; nice clean bathrooms, laundry facilities and a full service yard. the dock staff are so friendly and willing to help with any request. this is definitely an annual stop for us.

Dave and Jane Nolan, own Cape Yachts with two locations in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and Newport, Rhode Island as well as South Wharf Yacht Yard & Marina in Dartmouth, MA. Prior to being in the boating business, Dave was a CPA with Price Waterhouse. Thirty-five years ago in 1986, Dave fell in love with sailing and the waters of Nantucket. Wanting to run his own business, he decided to leave public accounting to found Cape Water Sports on Cape Cod. Soon after it became the largest Sunfish, Hobie Cat and Windsurfing shop in the Northeast. Three years later, Dave added Beneteau, Catalina, O’Day, Cal and Pearson to his stable of brands and changed the name of the business to Cape Yachts.

Growth, spurred on by the kind of expertise and service unique to Cape Yachts, continued through the 1990s making Cape Yachts the largest Beneteau dealership in North America with locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. During that time, Cape Yachts also began winning the coveted Beneteau President’s Award for superior sales and service – something we have been doing for 18 consecutive years.

In 2006, Dave purchased the historic South Wharf Yard in Padanaram Village of South Dartmouth, Massachusetts, saving the yard from being shut down due to decades of environmental impact. This location, steeped in yachting history, was a key American shipyard during an important era in the marine industry. Founded by an Act of the Boston Congress in 1832, South Wharf has been the site of whale ship building by Mathew, Mashow & Co. as well as Ray Hunt’s drafting office where Ray designed the Concordia Yawl and worked on his famous Deep V hull, that revolutionized the marine industry. The village of Padanaram is also where Herman Melville did a good bit of research for his classic ‘Moby Dick.’

South Wharf Yacht Yard & Marina has since been upgraded and overhauled by Dave and now also serves as headquarters for Cape Yachts. The yard’s marina boasts 90 protected slips and 4 wharfs that can accommodate vessels up to 130 feet.

Nearly 60 Massachusetts beaches closed ahead of Labor Day weekend

BOSTON — Nearly 60 beaches in Massachusetts are closed to swimmers on Friday ahead of Labor Day weekend due to bacteria concerns.

As of Friday afternoon, there were 56 beaches, lakes, and ponds closed, including popular destinations on Cape Cod and the Islands, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s  interactive beach water quality dashboard .

Nearly all of those bodies of water are closed due to harmful bacteria levels, the dashboard indicated.

The dashboard is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. during beach season.
