Created to a design of Ferretti Group, 550 has a Planing GRP hull and GRP superstructure driven by 2 x MAN i6 - 730 CR/ 2 x MAN i6 - 800 CR engines to a maximum speed of 30 knots while comfortably cruising at 27 knots. The fuel tank has a capacity of 2500l/550gal what allows a yacht to cover 300 nautical miles without the need to refuel. Ferretti 550 has a beam of 4.82m/16ft. The gross tonnage of this Flybridge motor yacht Ferretti is gross tons. That shows exactly how much interior space this yacht has.

Ferretti 550 can accommodate up to 6 people in 3 elegant staterooms to be assisted by a total of 2 crew members with 1 cabins for crew members.

At 16.82 metres (55 feet) overall length the Ferretti Yachts 550, revealed at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2015, sets itself apart with its sensible yet dynamic and streamlined lines which combine formal elegance and a sporty soul. The continuous windows on the main deck give the yacht a rakish look, completed with a new, streamlined flybridge with spacious areas. The hull features three large windows on both sides for the cabins. There is also plenty of attention to comfort, from the dinette area at bow to the cockpit equipped with a large couch and table in the stern to the flybridge, providing plenty of space for relaxation, both in the sunbathing area and comfortable dining area. The interior standard layout features three guest cabins and two heads. The Ferretti Yachts 550 features, in the standard version, a pair of MAN i6 730 CR generating 730 mhp allowing the boat to reach a maximum speed of 30 knots and cruise at 25 knots. The optional version foresee twin MAN i6 800 CR generating 800 mhp allowing the boat to reach a maximum speed of 31,5 knots and cruise at 26 knots.
