Tatii is a 40.5 m / 132′11″ luxury motor yacht. She was built by Tamsen in 2009. With a beam of 8.6 m and a draft of 1.65 m She is powered by MTU engines of 2400 hp each giving her a maximum speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots. The yacht was designed by Tamsen.

Tickets are already on sale for the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which once again will be the last race of the season. Tickets have been selling out for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in recent years, so it pays to secure your access early. Another reason to buy early is the rather low spectator capacity of around 60,000 at Yas Marina Circuit.

F1’s only twilight race is held at the impressive Yas Marina Circuit outside Abu Dhabi. Ticket prices are amongst the most expensive on the current F1 calendar. Choosing your Yas Marina ticket is not as difficult as at some other races; there are only five grandstands (plus the Abu Dhabi Hill) to choose from at the circuit, plus several premium areas within each grandstand. We recommend the West grandstand; it is the most popular, and tends to sell out first.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Tickets: Need to Know

• Grandstand tickets are numbered and reserved on all three days of the weekend. All grandstands are covered and have big screen TVs. The Abu Dhabi Hill (General Admission) area is uncovered, but does have big screen TVs
• Most tickets are sold for 3 days (Friday to Sunday), though 2-day tickets (Saturday & Sunday) are available with a small discount in the North, Orange North and South Grandstands
• Tickets are transferable each day, so you can swap with family or friends to check out the views from different grandstands
• Tickets are e-tickets, issued for each day of the race weekend. Tickets can be loaded onto the YasHub app for easier entry to the circuit
• No discounts are available for children. However, holders of 3-day and Friday tickets can bring up to 4 children (aged 12 and under) on Friday – children are granted free entry on Friday
• ‘Club & ‘Lounge’ tickets provide a seat in the highest section of the respective grandstand stand plus access to an air-conditioned lounge area where you can purchase food and drink, whilst ‘Yas Suite’ tickets offer access to air-conditioned suites at the top floor of the grandstand with food and non-alcoholic drinks included.

Main Grandstand

The Main Grandstand is the place to be if you want to watch the start and finish of the race, and keep up to date with the action in the pits. If this is not important, choose a cheaper grandstand, where you will also get to see more on-track action such as passing moves. Only 3-day tickets are sold for the main grandstand.

North Grandstand

Wrapping around the tight hairpin at turn 7, the North Grandstand offers decent panoramic views from turns 3-7 and along the back straight. The best seats are in the centre of the stand, right behind the hairpin. It’s also a good spot for easy access to the after-race concerts at the Du Arena (and Ferrari World).

West Grandstand

Tickets for this popular grandstand, located on Turn 8 at the end of the long back straight, tend to sell out quickly. It’s a great spot for overtaking and unique on the F1 calendar for having the run-off area partially under the grandstand! Most seats here also have a good view across to the final two corners; the best seats in the West Grandstand look right down the Start/Finish straight.

Marina Grandstand

Marina Grandstand is good for panoramic views of the second half of the circuit. The immediate view of the cars is on the straight between turns 10-11, but you can also follow the action in the Marina section between turns 15-20. To add more interest, the support race garages for Formula 2 and GP3 are located under the grandstand.

South Grandstand

A good choice for on-track action, the South Grandstand is located in the braking zone for turn 11 and also offers an excellent panorama view of the following turns 12-14 as well as the spectacular Marina section of the circuit and Yas Viceroy Hotel. South Grandstand Upper level: View 1 , View 2

Abu Dhabi Hill (General Admission)

The cheapest Yas Marina ticket area is located in the middle of the circuit, adjacent to the North Grandstand. This large grassy hill area offers limited views and little shade. You can see the cars from turns 2 to the turn 7 North hairpin, plus the long back straight. Buy a grandstand if you can afford it for much better views.

Hi Justin, my friend took that photo of the sunset from outside the circuit, believe it or not. I wrote about this area in the Trackside section of our guide (Yas Marina section); it’s definitely worth a trip there at some point over the weekend. Most fans say the West Grandstand is the best. I have stayed in Dubai and travelled to Yas Marina – it’s a long way (especially by public transport) and I wouldn’t recommend it. You are better off staying in the center of Abu Dhabi, which is around 20 minutes away by public transport. Go for somewhere near the waterfront promenade called the Corniche. Cheers, Andy

Having been to Abu Dubai for the last two years And going again this year the west grandstand is great value for money. Section W07 and W06 mostly have views of the start/finish line so and you can see them going into the pit lane think last year we had a seat around 50 in w06. This year have gone for w07 around 24 hoping for a more central view of the main straight.

Hi Ardy, I’m not aware of any ticket office in Dubai, but you could travel to the Yas Marina Circuit to buy your ticket. It’s not that far away, and you could visit Ferrari World or the other attractions on the island at the same time.

Yes, if you have a race ticket for a particular day, you get access to the concert on the same day. The Weeknd is playing on the 23rd, should be a good concert!

That’s not quite true – you need to collect a wrist band inside the circuit to get into the concerts.

Hi Justine, I suggest you contact the circuit for specific information about your son attending the race. I can inform you that there are no discounted children’s tickets at Yas Marina, but one child under 12 years old can enter for free on Friday with the holder of a three-day adult grandstand ticket. The Yas Marina circuit is the only place where you can buy package access to Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld; look for the “GP Park Pass” tickets. As for a choice between Marina and South grandstands, I would choose South. Good luck!

All grandstand tickets for the race sold out last week. Perhaps there is a few still on sale for the Abu Dhabi Hill. I suggest just going to the circuit and trying your luck; perhaps you will find someone selling some tickets outside

Do you have an idea which tickets will allow the most access to the track? I know that the “general admission” tickets only allow access to a couple of areas and the hill, but i’d like to be able to walk around as much of the track as possible and if that means buying a grandstand ticket (but not actually sitting in the grandstand) i’d be fine with that.

Hi LJ, Yas Marina isn’t like a traditional circuit with general admission areas. Apart from the actual Marina itself, where you can watch the action for free without any ticket (see Trackside ), the only other spectator areas are the Yas Marina Hill and the grandstands. The agreed best grandstand is the West one. Hope that helps!

Can we get a pass for two children under 12 years for the 3 day event.

Hello, there are no discounted tickets for children available to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The organizers also discourage children under 7 years of age attending the event. However, there’s a good chance you can bring your children for FREE on Friday with an adult who has a 3-day ticket – this has been offered in previous years, but not until a bit later ( 2018 info here ). Hi Simona, if you don’t have a parking pass, you should be able to park in Yas Mall without any problem (and for free), then walk to North Grandstand on the other side of Ferrari World

I can’t really help you if I don’t know exactly which tickets you have. The General Admission zone at Yas Marina is called the “Abu Dhabi Hill.” I’ve watched from there before – it’s not that hilly, lots of grassy banks that are not too steep. You can sit on the grass, but there is not so much shade. If you are in a grandstand, I believe there are lifts in all grandstands to get you close to your seat. It’s an impressive facility where no money was spared. Good luck

If you wait a few months for the Yas Marina Circuit tickets to go on sale, I believe you can choose specific sections/seats. With our supplier, you can nominate when you purchase where you’d like to sit and they will do their best to accommodate your request from their allocation.

Hi Alia, we don’t know the prices for 2021 yet, but last year the early bird prices for West Grandstand 3-day tickets was about 1700 AED / regular price about 2200 AED.

Can we select which seats in west grandstand? If so, which seats do you recommend?

Sorry, but I don’t have a map of the grandstand and the different sections. Most seats are pretty good, always go for higher up so you can see over the barriers. Closest to the track are the seats in the middle, on top of the corner. But seats on the approach to the corner are also good as you can also see down the start-finish straight. I believe you can choose specific seats when buying from the circuit – when they go on sale.

Hi Leslie, depends on your budget of course! There’s a few hotels on Yas Island within walking distance of the circuit, but it can be hard to get a room and prices are expensive. My personal experience working at the race in 2018/2019. I stayed last time at the Marriott Hotel Al Forsan and it was excellent – many of the drivers and teams were staying there, so that tells you something. Not that far from the circuit either. I haven’t done that much sightseeing in Abu Dhabi, though I would recommend visiting the White Mosque at dusk and the Louvre museum. To escape the crowds, I suggest doing some kind of personalised desert safari tour with your own driver. All the best, Andrew

Hi Anshal, general tickets are not on sale yet for the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The equivalent of General Admission at Yas Marina Circuit is called “Abu Dhabi Hill” – these are the cheapest tickets for the race.

Hi John, yes I’ve confirmed with our ticket supplier that tickets will be refundable in case the race is cancelled or run without spectators (though a small fee may be taken to cover processing costs)

Hi Andy, your guides are amazing and really helping with planning for the Grand Prix. I had looked at tickets a few weeks ago and said “yeah I’ll get them at some point” and now it seems they’ve jumped up in price and a lot of areas are sold out. I fancy the main straight grandstand but on Abu Dhabi circuit website they only have the section 9 at the end available which looks miles away from the actual straight action. When the next price point happens and they jump up again are there more tickets released? My girlfriend is a huge Kimi fan so we’re basically last minute planning this now after his retirement announcement and think that the best place at the end will be the main straight as he’ll probably do donuts and wave farewell like Alonso did. Would West stand give a good view of this? Appreciate the help cheers! :)

Hi Steffan, thanks for your kind words. Sadly, it seems the prices went up at the start of September – they didn’t publish the specific dates for early bird prices this year for some reason. I really cannot say how the tickets are being released this year – that’s up to the circuit. I guess you could contact the customer service for the circuit and ask? As for the West Grandstand, the left sections near the long straight do have a view of the Main Straight – but it seems that West is already sold out.

Hi Jess, if you can afford it – always worth upgrading to the premium seats for a better view of the action. I would personally choose West Grandstand as it has better views of the racing action (overtakes, crashes etc). But the Main Grandstand is good if you want to see all the most important stages of the race, like pit stops, start, finish, podium ceremony and the drivers doing donuts after the race!

Thanks Andrew – that’s very helpful. I can see on that for the Main Grandstand Premium tickets you get access to the F1 Fanzone and to view a collectible cars display and a preview of the 2022 F1 car. Would this be the same with a West Grandstand Premium ticket? Apologies for all the questions!

Hi Jess, normally fans in all the grandstands can enter the main Fanzone behind the Main Grandstand – but not this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. So the West Grandstand has it’s own “Oasis” area with food and drink, displays etc. But the Main Grandstand does have the best Fanzone and it seems that you can see more there this year.

Hi Edward, it’s not uncommon with F1 (and F1 Experiences) to not receive your tickets until quite soon before the race. If you are travelling earlier, you should let them know so that you have the option of picking up your tickets in Mexico City

I purchased 2x 3day tickets for the South Grandstand for Abu Dhabi last Thursday (18th November).

I’ve received my email with the confirmation and tax receipt attached straight after payment but I’m yet to receive the actual E Tickets. I’ve been told these will be issued ‘close to the event’ and that these will be emailed – however given that it is just over 2 weeks away, should I have received them yet?

Hi Rebecca, a bit hard to help you given that I don’t know where your client bought the tickets from. Another thing I don’t know is what kind of tickets your client bought – grandstand tickets will be issued electronically (e-tickets that will be emailed to the buyers) while hospitality access will be physical tickets. I know there has been delays with both – the Abu Dhabi promoter was saying the e-tickets wouldn’t be issued until 7-10 days before the event, so should be any day now. As for physical tickets, the best course of action now is for your client to collect on site – this should definitely be an option for him. Hope that helps.

Hi Alejandro, tickets for Abu Dhabi used to go on sale around April. However, I do believe it will be much sooner this year – could be even before Christmas. I think the minimum of 2 tickets per person was only in place for 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions. You should be able to buy just one if you want for 2022.

Hi Laura, I’m not sure when the Premium Main Grandstand tickets will go on sale. I guess in the next 1-2 months. Grand Prix Events is a legitimate website – in fact, as part of my day job I do a lot of the content work on their website :) They source their tickets from the same company as us, Grand Prix Tickets (GPT) in Austria. Sorry, I’m not sure about the best sections in the premium category.

Hi Robin, you are correct in that the circuit is not yet selling tickets. However, we are already on sale in our ticket shop for some grandstands – these are official tickets from our supplier Grand Prix Events (GPT) in Austria. You will get physical tickets emailed to you before the race. However, if these are not provided in time (which is often the case due to delays from the promoter/circuit), there’s always a chance to change and collect at the circuit.

Abu Dhabi issues physical tickets and yes, they can be posted anywhere in the world. But they won’t be sent until much closer to the race, as they are issued by the promoter. If you are worried about receiving them in the post, there should be the option to collect at the circuit when you arrive.

Hey, I booked general admission tickets to the 2022 grand prix. At what time do you think I should be present at the Abu Dhabi Hill, if I want the best views of the race? Also, will I be allowed to visit all sections of the track come saturday and sunday? (barring grandstands of course)

The Abu Dhabi hill is quite a large area, but you should still get there as early as you can on race day to secure a spot to watch. As for visiting other sections of the track, I don’t yet know if there will be any restrictions. I hope you could visit the main Fanzone which is behind the Main Grandstand and quite close to the Abu Dhabi Hill. I also recommend you checking out the views from the actual Yas Marina where the yachts are. You never used to need a ticket to visit there, and it was possible to see some sections of the track.

Hi Andrew, A group of 8 of us are going to the Abu Dhabi F1 race this year. We are trying to decide the best tickets. We were wondering how much the alcohol price would be for example 40 AED for a pint?. The reason for this is we are tossing up between the yas 51 suite (food, non alcoholic beverages and AC) vs a premium all inclusive (brunch ticket).

Hi Chris, honestly I can’t remember how much a beer costs in the fanzone at Yas Marina – but 40 AED sounds like it could be about right. I think the brunch access on one day could be a great way to enjoy the experience

Honestly, I would try and stretch the budget as the Paddock Club really is the place to be at Yas Marina. You also get daily pit lane walks, access to driving tours of the track, plus if you buy with F1 Experiences you get a tour of the F1 Paddock. Nothing wrong with Champions Club or Turn 1 suite – both are good hospitality offers – from these I would choose Turn 1 – it’s more like Main Straight, you are facing the start/finish line, whereas Champions Club overlooks the back straight and is a long way from the rest of the action/atmosphere

This is for the after-race concerts. Basically the Golden Circle tickets will get you into an area that’s closer to the stage.

I’m sure you will be fine as a solo woman traveller in Abu Dhabi. Most people recommend West Grandstand as being best, but with the track changes last year, the North Grandstand is also a good choice as lots of overtaking – North is also close to the arena where the concerts are held. Now you just have to hope it will be another championship decider!

Hi Fernando, sorry for the slow reply. These tickets are not in our offer, but I had a look on the Yas Marina website. The 2-day brunch package in the Marina grandstand looks like a good option. I still think West grandstand has better trackside views, but this is still a good place to watch.

Hi Nadine, I’m not 100% sure, but normally tickets will go on sale soon after this year’s race. Perhaps at latest by January (in the past tickets went on sale in April, but it’s been a bit earlier in recent year)

Yes, the Yas Suite tickets will provide entry to the concert on the day of the ticket. If you buy the golden circle ticket, I believe you still need a race ticket to attend the concerts.

I was considering Yas Suites Main Grandstand 3 day package for Abu Dhabi 2023. Do you think it’s a wise decision to book right now or wait for the early bird tickets on their main website?

Hi Kris, personally, I would be buying now. Yas Marina Circuit already did an early bird sale on 2023 tickets, which happened last November/December after the 2022 race. I don’t know if they will be doing another early bird discount for 2023. Tickets also sell out much more quickly in general these days.

Hello, I’m not 100% sure. Here you have the seating plan for the Main Grandstand . I believe Premium are sections 1-4 (marked in green). Sections 5-9 should be the regular Main Grandstand tickets, and above are the Yas Suites grandstand seats. Most people can see podium from Main Grandstand, but depends on which section you are in as to how high you will be. If you’d like to buy, I can check on this information with our ticket agent and give you some specific sections to choose.

There are no tickets sold for the Paddock. Do you mean the Paddock Club hospitality above the pits? It may be possible to buy Friday-only tickets for the Paddock Club.

Hi, Do all tickets get a day pass to ferrari world? What else is included with a ticket as I coudn’t find any other info. I understand that if I have a Sunday ticket then the Thursday concert is included. Can you please guide!

Tickets do not come with free entry to Ferrari World. But later it will be possible to buy a special pass that gives you access on race weekend to all the theme parks on Yas Island. For the concerts, the general rule of thumb is that you need a valid ticket for the day in order to go to the concert at night, this definitely applies on Friday to Sunday. (Not sure if Sunday tickets include access to the Thursday concerts)

What are the diferencies from regular seats to premium seats? Is just the localization or premium are also inclued beverege and foods? Thank you so much.

I want to go to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this year with my dad and I really want to see the start of the race and podium celebrations. This means the Main Grandstand ticket would be the best option but they are too expensive for us on the official F1 Experiences website. Is it possible to get onto the track in time to see the podium if you have tickets to the other grandstands?

Also, I have come upon a website called Grand Prix Events which have the Main Grandstand option for cheaper than F1 Experiences (Main Grandstand Plus 3 days) and I just want to know if this is an actual safe and reliable place to buy tickets?? If it is then it seems like the best option for us.

As I wrote in the other comment, you cannot go on the track at all after the race in Abu Dhabi, doesn’t matter which tickets you have. You can watch the podium only if you have seats in the Main Grandstand. Yes, Grand Prix Events are legitimate – they are owned by the same company that runs F1 Experiences.

I might get tickets to the Main Grandstand for Abu Dhabi this year for my dad and I, I just want to know if you are able to select specific seats or sections within the grandstands? Does this maybe vary with different websites? As I would love to be close to the podium. If not, how do I know my dad and I will be seated together? Hi Kari, you can select specifics within each grandstand, but only when booking direct via yasmarinacircuit.com. The circuit is now sold out of grandstands for this year, so if you want to get tickets, you will need to go via another ticket agent. Unfortunately, our supplier is now sold out of Main Grandstand tickets too, but you may find them elsewhere. In any case, whenever you buy 2 tickets, you will be seated together as standard.

For the sunday race….where is the best place to get a taxi after the race?

See the map here . For the pitlane walk on Thursday, the Yas West entrance is best. You need to walk through a tunnel under the race to get to the fanzone, where you can join the pitlane walk. As for getting a taxi after the race, it can be difficult. If you don’t stay for the concert, probably the best place to get a taxi is from the main entrance of Yas Mall (near Ferrari World). You may also try Yas Plaza, where there are several hotels.

Hi Andrew, Nice to see all your responses to help everyone on the tickets for F1. Some great info in there. I would like to know what tickets are required to enter the marina section where all the boat parties are happening later in evening? I did this about 8 years ago and had an incredible time. We were also super close proximity for watching the race plus the boat had TVs inside so we could keep an eye on the rest of the race. Is this only allowed if you purchase direct from boat owner/manager? Do regular grandstand tickets allow access to the marina also? Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan! Little known is that you don’t need a race ticket to enter the Marina on race weekend. You used to be able to even see a little bit of the track from one area, but I haven’t checked since they changed the circuit layout in 2021. For sure it will be easier to enter the Marina if you have a reservation or tickets for a boat party, but I think anyone can still enter – ticket or not. It’s a public area after all, with restaurants and bars open to the public.

I bought tickets for the Abu Dhabi gp this year through f1 experiences, the trophy package. I wasn’t able to pick my seats. Does booking through f1 experiences guarantee me great seats or do I have to make a request?

The only way to secure specific seats is to buy direct via Yas Marina Circuit (same advice applies to most other races, too). Normally, F1 Experiences will get a decent allocation, but if you want to be in a specific sector and low/high, then you need to reach out to F1 Experiences and ask – if they have seats in your chosen sector, they should be able to allocate to you.

Anybody had issues with ticket changes? I bought west grandstand premium tickets in march and 2 months ago gootickets sent me email that they will either cancel my ticket and refund me or that i can move to north straight grandstand… no difference in money. Since we booked hotels and flights we accepted that even though we dont like it. Im afraid we want see anything from there, and tickets were around 700eur…

Sounds like a specific issue with Gootickets. That was not a great offer they made. Honestly, the West Grandstand is much better than the North Straight grandstand, and a lot more expensive too. You should have received a refund on the difference. But other than that, I can confirm they are a legitimate company, so you can be sure you will actually receive your tickets.

Selecting your yacht berth for the F1 Race Weekend in Abu Dhabi

Chartering a superyacht during the  Abu Dhabi Grand Prix  is an experience unmatched by any other due to the unmissable racing action and buzzing party scene, which always provides a fitting end to the final fixture of the F1 season.  

Whether you are in Abu Dhabi to watch the race from the comfort of a private yacht or to use a superyacht as a base while you disembark to enjoy the on-land ambience, there is a berth to suit your needs. 

But when it comes to offering views of the track, not all berths in Yas Marina are created equal. Read on to discover where to station your charter yacht to soak up all the action.

Track view berths

Watching the main race and qualifying sessions from the comfort of a superyacht while drinking champagne and sampling fine food is the ultimate way to experience the glamour of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Yas Marina has a number of berths with track views which are, understandably, the most coveted spots during Race Week. Numbered from 36 to 56, these berths are available for superyachts measuring from 35 to 60 metres and are located in the south-west of the marina.

Securing your berth Competition for the main trackside slips are fierce, so if you’re planning on undertaking a private yacht charter during the F1 Grand Prix, be sure to book your yacht and berth well in advance.

Non-track view berths

Yas Marina also has scores of berths without a view of the track. The vast majority are suitable for smaller yachts measuring from eight to 30 metres.

Although it’s not possible to see the track from these slips, the yachts are still well placed for guests to soak up the buzzing atmosphere. Plus, large screens placed in the north-east of the marina broadcast a live feed of the racing which most yacht-goers will be in a position to see.

Attendees in a non-track view berth will also be well-placed to join in the post-race happenings. Guest passes, which are allocated to all berthed yachts, enable yacht-goers to access the marina jetty and pontoons, the oasis areas of the grandstands and the nightly post-race concert.

Extra Large Superyacht Berths

Superyachts measuring up to 175 metres, meanwhile, can be accommodated outside of the marina in a limited number of visitor berths, which also offer views of the track. Numbered V10, V15 and V26, these slips usually get taken by larger private yachts.

Grandstand access

It’s important to note that although guest passes enable yacht-goers to access certain areas of the marina, the grandstands will be off limits.

If you’re hoping to stay on board a yacht and get among the crowds of spectators, you’ll need to purchase grandstand tickets separately.
